Based EU

Based EU.

I FUCKING LOVE EU

Oh boy he done did it.

lol why does Drumph wants to start a trade war?
Like if the gun protests and scandals in the White House isn't enough to deal with.
EU is pretty pissed with all the refugee problem, Why piss them even more?

This is great.

American car manufacturers that are dependent on these imports are not able to afford expensive local steel which will further destroy the manufacturing and car industry in the US to the benefit of European companies.

...

...

The United States died when they collectively decided that free trade is a bad thing.

kys

the e""""""u"""""" needs to learn its place

>EU is pretty pissed with all the refugee problem,

They aren't. They already dealt with the problem.

I think this is an act of war desu

The US and EU have been in a trade war for a very long time now. Everyone my age remembers the Banana Trade Wars.

This is why the World Trade Organisation exists, but America has been shitting on so many international agreements lately that I don't see them being favored.

Yeah, but we're still kinda pissed. I wonder how long it will take us to deal with the political fallout.

bring it on, fatty

Explane the situation here for all the brainlets like me.

Just an fyi, the american workers that lose their jobs from this will blame immigrants.

YOU'RE pissed? Over what, not being forced to accept a single refugee because WE selflessly voulenteered to save the union?

BTFO BTFO BTFOOOO

>This is great.

ABSOLUTELY

What does europe even make that the USA needs?

Germany looking to get btfo again

If the EU wants to be serious, the should lay off a bunch of American workers who work at Volkswagen.
That would infuriate Trump's base and send a clear message.

>EU trade with the US by importing steel and aluminium to the US.
>The US president said on Thursday he would introduce a 25 per cent import tariff on steel and 10 per cent on aluminium, claiming that the US had been suffering from “unfair trade”.
>EU retaliates against Donald Trump’s new tariffs on imported steel and aluminium.

White genes.

Thank you but my question was more of the what happens next after that type?

Apparently yes, I remember some lady asking me to sign a petition against accepting them.
>But it's just 2000 of them.
>Actually, it's just 1000...
>so what's the problem?
>shitskins, reeeee!

I'm sorry for a lack of solidarity from my country.
And by "we" I meant all of Europe.

trade barrier with the EU, common market with the UK

exporting*

Does the US even export that much steel and aluminium to Europe though? Or even cars, for that matter?

It feels like this specific mini trade war is clearly beneficial to the US, seeing as they rely mostly on their local market as is. As long as the price of steel doesn't outright skyrocket, the impact will be relatively negligible for them.

Suicide is never commendable Sweden.

We lucked out this is a much bigger deal for Canada, we just have to wait and see what Trudeau will do then do the same but fly under the radar

It could lead to an all out trade war.
Meaning the EU will begin to impose tariffs of their own in retaliation.
Then it keeps going back and forth until the world economy collapses. Or China steps in and becomes a even bigger trading power house.

...

Another massive victory for EU.

>China steps in and becomes a even bigger trading power house
This please

America dpesnt owe the rest of the world a fucking thing. We are an exceptional nation and not bound by the same rules as other nationsm

typisch deutsch!

People are very quick to take pride in doing nothing. But at least you understand, 99% of the internet is like "you're from Sweden? How dare you make Britain take all those pakis!?" and so on.

The European Union plans to respond to Donald Trump's new trade tariffs with trade "countermeasures."
The retaliatory policies will be announced in the next few days

Why would you want that? They are imperialistic pricks, in the Europeans in Africa sense of the word. They already own pretty much all the resources and ports from all the nations that are in an incredibly ridiculous and unregulated debt with China. I hate the US, but China really, really isn't better.

>Trump's law
The more scandals you got going the less each one hits you

No offense, but why do so many Mexicans suck Chinks off so much? I understand your gripe against the US (Canada is also being fucked over by Trumpism), but begging for Chinks to take over isn't going to actually make anything at all better.

>Post yfw America will get BTFO in your lifetime.

Considering that we're likely going down with them if that ever happens, I don't see why you're celebrating.

We're building a wall, Mexico is gonna pay for it, and China is going to build it

we're talking north america down with us leafboy, you and jose better prepare your anus

Not sure why Europeans ITT are celebrating. You don't think the burgers will let a threat by you pussies slide do you?

It's just the Mexico is White guy. Don't give him (Yous).

"...and then they told me: We are buying the C-Series, lo!l!"

fuck off cuck

Fuck Eu*ope

I don't understand

Someone explain

We are not in debt to them :)

????

Literally the only thing republican politicians care about is making money. They don't give too shits about what negatively affects the economy at large unless your base starts harping them about it, in which case they'll probably just blame the mexicans and be done with it.

So no, don't expect any real retaliation from us.

Make like a leaf and fuck off

We're Europeans now. Get with the program.

whine more you pussy continent full of fags

*two
*their

I really need to start rereading my own comments.

How can USofMutt even compete?

This again? I'm not that guy and trying to trigger me with that shit deosn't work anymore. Are you the butthurt Trumpster Mexican-American war weirdow?

Whqt did we ever do? Why is he so mean?

Fuck, don't remind me about that whole shitfest.

Airbus literally got so fucking much out of that deal, while Bombardier got nothing except a little bit of short-term financial stability (after they had already received well over a billion fucking dollars from the government). I really hope Bombardier never sees a single other fucking penny of taxpayer money.

as is tradition

>Post yfw America will get BTFO in your lifetime.
>Mfw Russia annexes northern Canada after the U.S. collapses

This is going to turn out like the Boeing-Bombardier dispute when Boeing tried to employ anti-competitive practices to shut them out of the mid-sized plane market in America.

The result was that Airbus stepped up to buy the lion's share of Bombardier's new plane model that will now become the most used mid-size plane in America.

Leave US to me

Ah yes, the "beautiful game".

What a great sport amirite

>Bombardier got nothing except a little bit of short-term financial stability
Well, they will survive for another few years.

Our president is a retard, wants to make a statement by firing the first shot.
He's out of he's depth and thinks the EU will back down and negotiate a """better deal""".
He also has the boomer mentality that America can bully anyone around.

stay mad baby

We actually are, but not nearly as much as other countries... yet. Still.

You're in fact not building a wall currently, and we're already in Trump's second year, the Mexican government has made it crystal clear it will not pay and China isn't going to build shit on the border.

Those are verifiable facts btw

>Trumps ruins trade relations with EU, Canada, and China in under two years
MAGA'D.

>blah blah blah I'm a German Nazi
That's all I hear from you

>You're in fact not building a wall currently
Trump already said he's doing to make a see through wall so he can spot you fucks from a mile away.
Which means he's going to build a fucking fence.

mister makaron is a nazi?

Based leafposter

You're conflating different issues. The Boeing-Bombardier dispute was initially nothing (Embraer also filed a complaint against the WTO at the same time as Boeing). The surprise came when the Commerce Department recommended insane tariffs, which was a weird decision, but the US trade commission then went against the Commerce Department's recommendations. The only reason Airbus didn't complain was because they had already been in talks about buying the CSeries program for quite a while beforehand, and talks were still ongoing.

>new plane model that will now become the most used mid-size plane in America.
Mate they literally only have 372 orders. Meanwhile the 737 MAX already has 4307.

Don't get me wrong, it's still a great deal for Airbus, and in the longer term it can perhaps save them development costs for a new aircraft family, but for the time being Boeing is still comfortably ahead.

>Trump wants to take away muh guns
>Now this
am I in the right timeline?

What an excellent sport! Seems very appropriate for European "men"

Trudeau is already desperate to forge new trade ties(see his ridiculous trip to India where he got the cold shoulder) due America becoming increasingly protectionist. CETA was just the beginning. Expect way closer ties between Canada and the EU in the future.

You dont get taken over by chinks. Chinks are weaker than the US so they actually need you and would be willing to be more lenient because of it. Instead of a master with a nation like ours we could actually be partners.

witht he japan trade deal, usa will become irrelevant

I don't want closer ties with E*rope

>mexico still gets triggered by the wall

>Chinks are weaker than the US
So what? Economically, they still dominate us, which is all that matters.

Just join us, lol. Canada already a member state of European institutions like the European Space Agency, :^).

gonna be honest, i really enjoy Sup Forums related banter

wouldn't it be too expensive for Canada to have EU as its main partner, due to distance?

US-EU trade war? Hell yeah!

>everyone's GDP declining

fuck you Donald

Give me an Spanish gf and we'll talk

>Man, the US sucks now
>Oh wait, everywhere is as bad or worse
Where the fuck would I go?

Me too. Sup Forums banter is just screeching about race

el atrocidad

>"daddy, what did you do during the Great Trade War?"

...

It is in fact not a bad trade war for the US. People are only bitching because Trump did it.
