It'll be far from perfect, but Socialism does work. The USSR under Stalin's management went from a agrarian shithole waiting to be fucked by the nazis to a world superpower comparable to the U.S with over 100 years of industrial development.
Communism itself, complete equality, is unobtainable. All we can do is work to reduce inequality. By that I mean help the population get fair jobs where they earn a decent amount and aren't completely fucked over for profit. The best way to do this is with state owned industry because under capitalism where individuals invest and take a risk on something hoping to be able to get rich off of that company the owner does little labor, all he has done is take a risk. If the state built the factory on their own money and set it up so that the profit does not flow mostly to one person at the top the wages of the actual workers would be more fair.
Why is it always damn middle/upper class kids who want to live in a socialist superstate? Do they want to live off the state forever or something? Not enough familial love to properly detach and be an individual?

I agree that some inequality is fine, but the massive gap that there is today isn't. If people don't want to work and just have things handed to them then yes, fuck em, but a single mother shouldn't have to work 3 minimum wage jobs to take care of her kids. There absolutely are many rich parasites that contribute nothing to the world, no one should have billions and billions of dollars, no work you can do is worth over 10000x someone elses, even if that is manual labor. Without the state to enforce laws and assign people to work there is no way for socialism to work. The people collectively owning businesses is a comfy dream, but realistically we can't trust people to correctly manage the resources on their own especially when people will always try to take a bigger slice of the pie given the opportunity. We need a government strong enough to hold people accountable for their actions.

No. 60 years ago you didn't need a degree to support a family. A factory job was able to provide you with all you need. Unskilled labor has been devalued by globalism and automation, we need to work around that now or people will start suffering, fall into poverty, and turn to crime. You cannot have a 100% educated population, it's just not possible, there needs to be a place for unskilled workers to be able to make enough to support themselves, and that means making new jobs and building more factories where they are needed, not sending them to wherever the labor is cheapest to increase profits.

Its when a human is capable of obtaining and retaining the knowledge to use post scarcity resources alone to logarithmically build things that build things to support themselves. That is when social cohesion dissolves and there is no longer a need to organize a means for producing goods.
However from the perspective of war, the largest group will always remain dominant in this situation so it is unlikely that you will ever see tribalistic hierarchical grouping disappear from the human initiative.

In communism, the state owns all business. In reality, it's only a trivial point. If the state uses it's power to 'legislate' it's not a whole more different. The company (and it's productive workers) are still being bled dry to fund the elderly and the underclass.
