Public Photos Without Permission

What does Sup Forums think about people who post pictures of others without their permission for the sole purpose of being made a pariah on social media?

Pic semi related

You give your consent by being in public. Private surveillance is everywhere and legally admissible.

Well yea having your photo taken in public is fine, but what about posting pictures of people you see in public on social media for the purpose of ridiculing or showing in a negative light?

So can the government look at everything in your phone when you're on public property

>Congress shall make no lawrespecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Now shut the fuck up. Unless you want reasonable common sense freedom of speech and press laws. I mean, its 2016! No one needs high capacity assault information!.

>implying SJWs will care because this guy's a spic

I saw something similar in the LA area.

A young woman (black woman actually) drove to a car wash in her SUV and used those special pressure hoses to clean her dog that was in a cage. Some man saw and took a picture of the woman and her license plate and posted it on social media so that people could phone her local DA or some shit and report her for animal abuse. She was actually taken to court where nothing happened after a wellness check was made on the dog (which appeared to be fine). But people still wouldn't let this go.

As long as you're telling the truth it's ok. Slander or libel is something different however and you can be sued, in the US anyway. Don't take a picture of a stranger and claim they did something to you when they didn't else you might find yourself in civil court having to prove that the person did, in fact, that thing to you.

so take pic related, if this guy took the woman who took the picture to court the woman would have to prove he did it?

I thought he would also have to prove he suffered economic loss because of what was said (or in this case posted)

This, except: the OP could be defamatory, in which case the subject would have recourse, albeit cumbersome and expensive (a takedown letter/threat from a lawyer might be enough) (although that wouldn't reach republication on Sup Forums, etc).

In France we have "droit d'image", you own your likeness and people can't publish it without your consent.
If you could theoretically track down the person who took the image, you would win a court case against them, but it's mostly used for TV and magazines.

Well yeah he'd have to show damages as well. But these days with all the SJWs doxxing and trying to get people fired, there's a good chance that someone might lose their job. Boom, there's your damages. Now he get's his girlfriend and others to testify on his behalf stating that he's not a pervert and been a outstanding guy and he submits his phone SD card as evidence, with no upskirt photos on it. The jury has to decide preponderance of the evidence, i.e. which is more likely. Odds are the dude will win.

I like this system. So even if I am at a party and someone takes a picture of me and posts it with no negative/positive context, it is still illegal to do so? Or is this only for famous people or when damages to reputation happen?

but in this case how much would you be able to sue for?

Let's say he loses a 50k/year job. Do you think he will/should get more than 100k? Also you can't sue people for things they dont have so if she's broke then won't you get nothing (im not sure if they garnesh wages for civil suits like they do student loans/child support)

>but in this case how much would you be able to sue for?
Oh I have no idea, that's what a lawyer would know. I'm guessing 5-10 thousand at least, assuming he's been employed steadily. For a longer job or something that specifically requires moral turpitude, like being a school teacher, much more I am sure.

>Also you can't sue people for things they dont have so if she's broke then won't you get nothing (im not sure if they garnesh wages for civil suits like they do student loans/child support)

If you win a civil case and get a judgement against someone, that judgement is good basically forever, from what I hear, in the US. So he can garnish wages until the judgement is satisfied, including social security, tax refunds, etc. But that requires more legal actions to undertake and may not be worth it to hire a lawyer to do that if it's a small amount.

do you have more pics of the poster, want to jack off to her.

no sorry, try cropping pics of her profile pic and google image searching her face name

nevermind.

you found her fb? post it nigga

or just login to facebook and search for the hashtag....anyway fuck it....who cares?

Don't do stupid shit in public and you won't get meme'd on, it's pretty simple Timmy.

What a year. That seems so long ago.

If you're taking a picture up somebody's skirt then you can't really be mad if they take your picture back.

My uni literally has faceberg pages like JMU Makeouts and JMU Dukes Eating Bananas, taking pics of others and posting them online

you're assuming that he did. what if she's just accusing him or he had his phone out and that's the conclusion she jumped to?

His face does look like somebody that was just caught in the act of something, so who knows. I've seen several dudes trying this on subways and buses before, and it's usually pretty obvious by the way they're holding their phone what they're doing. It isn't that subtle, just people standing don't generally look down to see it happening to themselves.

It's why in some Asian countries all phones are required to make a sound that can't be disabled when a picture is taken because it's so common.

Then she shouldn't display her cunt to the world where an innocently held phone could take a picture of it. She's at fault, no matter what.

Don't do the crime, you won't do the time.

Are those school sponsored official pages? Or just made by some weirdo with the schools name in the group name. I doubt there's a university affiliated employee or volunteer in charge of that

he just looks surprised. the other passenger is also looking over. the girl was probably shrieking as she took the pic which would explain both.

I bet faggots ITT sperging about privacy violation and stupid liberal womyn will go to great lengths to defend that degenerate fuck's "right" to take a pic up someone's fucking pants and circulate it. Glad that degenerate, beta, uncivil mongrels like him are ousted. Fuck him.

But we don't know that he actually did do it. All we have to go on is her image and post. I'm not going to treat the man like shit if I don't know it actually happened.

I do agree that actual pervs/pedos should be punished but not without due process.

How do you go about due process when a faggot tries to take a picture up your skirt in a crowded train? Do you accost him in a hushed voice and reproach him? Do you follow him home and then give him a lesson in acceptable moral behaviour? Do you ask bystanders for help? Do you call 911? Do you grab him by the nape and hold him, drag him out until the next stop, then look for the nearest police officer before handing him over? What evidence do you have to support any of these actions? Legal action cannot be based on a picture like this, you need witnesses to corroborate your story. Are you going to go around taking everyone's contact information including the culprit's, to later help the cops track them down?

When a faggot takes upskirt pics and potentially shares them with others, he's publicly disgracing the person. This is the optimum, efficient, apt response: tit for tat.

>do you call 911

Yes report the crime. Best to be discrete. If you notice this actively happening to you then snatch the dudes phone and run away/call for help or the police.

You don't know that the creep would've shared it either. He could've just enjoyed it himself.

They can look at whatever you have visible on the screen. Same idea as plain view.

Hit reply too quickly. If he really did take the picture it should still show up on his phone. So when you look at the phone you snatch you can ask things like

>why was your camera app open?
>why is there a photo of my legs/up my skirt on your phone?

If the real police were involved then this guy could've spent the night in jail for stalking or some shit. Taking his photo and posting it is sort of indirect and may not lead to an arrest/prosecution.

I like you hungary.

Any proof he did it m8?
If she goes to facebook instead of the cops shes probably lying

I don't really care this cunt is a dirty autist who has to try to snake bad quality upskirts to get any sexual experience, when the person has done nothing that's when stupid sluts with facebook accounts should get piledrivered
If you're going to hold yourself to the level of a shit cunt and act like one in public then be prepared for consequences
>as the old saying goes "braindead liberal in the streets, fascist in the sheets"

>TFW you get ready for a good kidding

Man the carl memes cracked me up, we need another good one from this cycle

Bump

Bump

A FUCKING WHITE MALE
