Get a better job

Fpbp

Honestly though, as someone that works only just above the minimum wage, why not just get a better job?

I would, but I'm lazy and don't give much of a fuck. I admit that and don't blame le ebil goobermant

>implying everyone can get a better job
>implying that wouldn't mean nobody does worse jobs
>implying elite don't need at least one underclass
>implying 30 minutes and .01 seconds are equivalent effort-wise

they live, we sleep. deus vult

Wouldn't it make more sense to lower the 1% ridiculous wage?

$20k/hr?
Thats obscene

Everyone can get a better job if you out effort into getting one rather than moaning it's too hard because they government doesn't want us to get them!!!

that's a lie.

so, in your ideal world everyone is in management. but who are they managing? people on worse jobs? and they need better jobs too right? but everyone is already in management.

macdonalds would be empty, supermarkets empty, post office empty, train service empty, and customer service jobs would be exported to india.

it's impossible ot have everyone in a better job, that's just a trueism.

My dads a CEO and makes stupid money. I can tell you 100% you're basically saying a 8 year old Baseball player should be paid the same as someone in the MLB

what -i'm saying- is that mordern sports are for pussies and the olympics should be gladiatorial

Most people on Sup Forums are geniunly cuckolds to the rich. I've seen people argue that Feudalism is a good form of governance, there's no point arguing with these literal cucks.

Hence why we will always have minimum waged workers. The majority of them are too stupid or willfully ignorant to getting a better job. This alone will assure we always have them.

That however, doesn't mean it they wanted one, they couldn't get one.

Get a wage increase, milk shoots up to $6 a gallon, you are right back where you started, but hey at least the leftist politicans didn't lie you are making $15 an hour, just now that money has less buying power.

two quotes from you to point out your bullshit, and why you're a bad person

>Everyone can get a better job
>The majority of them are too stupid or willfully ignorant to getting a better job

you're missing the point. even if the people on the lowest rung of society are occasionally less intelligent, the higher rung still relies on them, and so they should be valued. society collapses without an underclass as it is currently organised.

the solution is to pay them a real living wage, as low paid jobs are what hold the rich in power.

>Sup Forums claims to hate globalists
>but defends the SAME people when they exploit workers
You can't make this shit up

There are actually better jobs that require no degrees at all. As long as you weren't fucking retarded in life you can apply for law enforcement, or to work security for your county. All that's required is no priors, be 18 or older, and a drivers license.

Fact is minimum wage worker is a idiot and has no rigth to earn more money.

Point is if he would study and learn a proper trade instead of party and smoke weed he earn more.

But he dont.
Shoveld his own grave.

>$7.25 an hour

what third world shithole is this?

If you increase wage, the cost of other things will increase to compensate for the loss companies will have. You can't do it.

Sup Forums is full of nationalists lad.

Work hard for your country, not the global elite.

>facts is facts
Bullshit.

What needs to be reduced are costs of living.

technically not everyone can get a better job

many of the "shit jobs" are jobs that are very necessary

and dont give me
>le automation

were talking about right now in the 10's. if automation is ever achieved then we can talk

Read carfully what is writen here fuck tard.

You earn what you deserv for the skill you got.

Retards starv.
Succesfull feast.

No pitty for the dumb.

>no pity for the dumb

which is why i dont pity goytschland

No no, everyone can, many just chose not to.

I worked minimum wage, it's easy. If, like many of them, you live at home with your parents or live with other people splitting rent, there's not much incentive to go and seek higher education to get better jobs.

If they do decide, they can get better jobs. Many just won't.

>increase minimum wage
>prices adjust for inflation
>but muh reparations and shieet

It should be a mandatory fucking subject to teach kids how economics works. Increasing the minimum wage by 70-100% will just cause the prices to increase resulting in the currency keeping the same value in relation to the cost of products and services.

But i guess the nigs want bigger numbers and don't really care about the monetary value of their currency.

>implying any of that shit will matter in our life time when all jobs are replaced by machines
>implying you won't be competing with ten thousand other plebs for the opportunity to jerk off some rich guy's dog in exchange for three hot meals a day and a warm bed
R E P L A C E D

>You earn what you deserv for the skill you got.
I'd like to know how being born to a bilderberg family, buying out the competition, bribing politicians, and sending companies overseas entitles you to a 20k/hour salary. But you know its okay to fuck over the rest of country because
>muh free market
>muh libertarian paradise

no sorry. i wasnt saying that not everyone is capable im talking about the way society is set up currently there are many shit jobs that have to be done. for example if nobody was there to pick up and process the trash the ciries would be literally toxic

And there will always be people to do them. Raising the minimum wage won't fix anything.

want a raise? here is how:

step 1: stop sending all your manufacturing and industry offshore to other countrys
step 2: stop importing millions of violent illiterate shitskins

stand back and be amazed as supply and demand kicks in and suddenly you have the opportunity to earn a good wage in a peaceful and prosperous society.

>sucks the states cock so they force employers into paying what they want
>calls others cucks
Wew laddy

well it depends. what really needs to be fixed is the inflation. when prices inflate to the point where its more worthwhile to go on welfare than get job then so will it be

>raise minimum wage, from 10 dollars to 15
>the price of a gallon of milk goes from 3 dollars to 4.5 dollars
>rent goes up from 1000 a month to 1500 a month
What do you do then, liberals? What do you do when you raise the cost of living for everyone, keeping the people working at minimum wage in the same positions they were, and lowering the value of everyone past the new minimum wage?

Anyone who thinks raising the minimum wage is any kind of solution can't into causality.

>Have a degree
>Work my ass off every day
>Earning a higher salary than median worker in OP
>Still pissed off an wanting a promotion because I work harder and smarter than 99% of my peers

It's relative, famalamadingdong.

the solution is to bring back gold standard

They say that shipping jobs out means that our products are cheaper. Yet somehow when we were paying more for all those things that CHYNA now makes we were better off.

A lot of things are already automated. But who will service the machines?

where does public violence factor into this because ive got a lot of pent up frustrations over here

Is median really 16/hr? I'm making some sweet bank at over 50/hr then.

This tbqhwyf

And now you are in a new tax bracket

There are always inexperienced and stupid on the job market.

Either you move on or you are trash that thinks burger flipping is a career.

The thing is you can't teach people this. If you do you can't claim that raising the minimum wage will help. That is a lot of power to give up.

It's impossible to set a fair and balanced minimum wage therefore we should completely remove the minimum wage, Then everything will drop in price to exactly how much it's worth.

$20k/hr is the "wage" of the top earner in the US in any given year, adjusting their earnings for the year to a 40 hour week. Of course, anyone making millions in salary plus bonuses is working 100 hour weeks and making decisions which affect the livelihoods of hundreds or thousands of people, be they employees or investors.

The cutoff to be in the top 1% in the US is $300k per year, or $150/hr adjusted to a 40 hour week. Some of them work 40 hour weeks, many of them work more. Some of them are government employees being paid at taxpayer expense and some of them lead charitable, non-profit foundations.

The best way to increase wages is to make labor more scarce.

So how about cutting off the flood of migrant workers and H1B visas?

Why are you envious of peoples' success?

I can buy a gallon of milk every 4.5 minutes.

T-thats way too much m-milk, OP

Humanity has a natural aristocracy

>be born into rich family
>become CEO because of family ties
Sup Forums will defend this

Get rid of the minimum wage. It puts it on employers to tell their employees how much they think they're worth. I think you'll see an overall increase in wages; not out of the goodness of employers hearts but the public outrage that would result from them trying to fuck over the poor working man and woman.

>later in the news
>man drowns in pool full of milk

you fucking idiots have no clue what you're talking about

most CEO's don't have cash on hand, a lot of their wealth is based on assets and the companies they own

Well, someone worked hard and smart so their children can have a wonderful life.

This works in the Scandinavian countries because they are all strongly unionized and nobody ends up working for less than $20/hr

It would never work in the us because everyone is an anti Union cuck and the culture of fuck you got mine rules supreme

Yes Mcdonalds workers need to get paid 20,160 dollars an hour.

>uhh in reality they are poor!!!11!
what level of cuckoldry is this

Rich people don't have to give back to society clearly their success had nothing to do with america I'm sure they would have been just as successful in somalia or ethiopia.

but it doesn't mean they worked for it and deserve their pay, and Sup Forumscucks imply they do

>Be a low skill worker
>Demand a raise or threaten to quit your job
>Either of two things will happen
>Employer agrees and you are paid more
>Employer disagrees and you quit your job

>Employer can easily employ someone else
>Low skilled Employee has to put in effort to find a new job

You're not special, suck it up and become special

You entitled socialist fucks need to learn that working hard means teaching yourself skills in the world. You can't just demand hand outs because you're too retarded to become somebody

I didn't say they were fucking poor you idiot, I'm saying the comparison isn't the same

Lol..say hi to comunism.
>all people should be equal (poor)

I like that Eat Pray Love reference on the third slide, that was a nice touch by him

why is it that underage libertarian economists get butthurt so easily?

That's a dumb meme. The 1%'s income is basically all investment capital. Do you know what happens when you deprive an economy of investments?

>fewer jobs
>less goods and services
>lower wages and worse benefits
>higher cost of living

Eating the rich is about as useful as lowering the cost of production by imperial decree. It's great for the first few hours, but what happens in the days, months and years afterward when businesses don't have capital to restock their shelves?

>See: Cuba, Soviet era Russia, modern Venezuela

>suck it up and become special
What did any of these billionaires do other than fall out of the right vagina? They didn't claw their way up like Rockefeller or Carnegie.

What a meme.
I want the 1% to be less rich so that people can spend more money on my products.
If the populace has more money, then it means the economy is better.

It's not about hand outs and socialism in the slightest. American capitalism is broken.

...

pls stop

>Double min wage
>Price for gallon of milk doubles to accommodate increased overhead as does the price for everything including everything exported weakening position in the international market with increased price for the exact same products, economy as a whole takes a hit and people lose jobs
>CEO guy gives himself a raise

The biggest tell to how ignorant people who want super high minimum wages are. Is that if they actually knew what they were doing they'd have savings. And if they had savings they would want to stay the fuck away from a minimum wage increase.

>let me point to all those failures of socialism while neglecting to mention capitalism results in just as much poverty in countries outside of Western Europe the anglosphere and their satellites
kek

>I'm ok with stagnating because I'm a fucking loser and I rationalize it by believing that it doesn't matter because someone has to do the shitty job

Take a good look, these are the burger flippers who have been working at McDonald's for a decade and go on strike to demand higher pay.

>sometimes capitalism doesn't work
>therefore it's okay that socialism never works

Will teenage libertarians ever learn their increased minimum wage drives up prices meme is a lie?

Only because I'm tired and want to go to bed

> Society tells you to get a degree
> You get the degree but quickly find out its worthless
> Unemployed, society tells you pick up a trade and get a certification
> You do, but find out you're in an oversaturated market. There's too many programmers in the world, who have more programming language knowledge, more IT skills than , and the trend is towards foreign human resources and outsourcing to freelance, and gig economy where you make a pittance with no job security
> Well shit! Now what? You do it again, you try learning a new skill, and by the time you have your certification, degree, skill, etc, you're told by society and the market that your services aren't needed.

Now you have all those tuition debts to pay. Your only marketable skills are everyman skills such as lifting objects, conning people to a sale, or digging the earth for potatoes. All of which make you pathetic money. Money you cannot hope to live on comfortably, nevermind sometimes living at all!

Look I know you hate the socialism and anything to do with the Soviet union, but when the man doesnt speak out for you, or the markt doesnt speak for you, and society won't, who the fuck will?

Cuba is better off than the majority of its Caribbean neighbors, just sayin'

The whole capitalism guarantees untold wealth and splendor and socialism guarantees people starving in the streets is a huge meme

> kill all poor and you live in a world without poverty

How will an increase in overhead not drive up prices when profit is the entire goal? Do you think businesses will just take the hit and be happy with it?

>and socialism guarantees people starving in the streets is a huge meme

But that is still happening in Cuba

Capitalism sometimes works
Socialism NEVER works

>daily reminder

There are only two extremes on Sup Forums if you're not a full blown ayn rand worshiping libertarian you must be a commie. All government is evil and all corporations have your best interests in mind and totally won't destroy your country for short term profits.

I work 20 minutes for liter of milk.

>facts ARE facts
Proxy? Or common core?

How many people living in """poverty""" still have internet, cable, cellphones, ipods, etc?

I dont think price would double, 40% increase max.

No one is starving in Cuba cletus. At least not since a small period of time in the early 90s after the USSR collapsed

Why doesn't he bounce back and find work elsewhere? It seems like he needs it, after all.

Doesn't this comic show the importance of jobs, though? Surely we need to secure our borders and deport all illegal immigrants so that we may give those jobs back to citizens.
Maybe we can bring back our manufacturers, too? NAFTA is a failure.

Do that, and you will have wiped out 99% of all labor. No more favtory workers in China, no Africans to make your shoes, no Slavs to make your furniture, and no Mexicans to clean your hotel and make your tires.

Then you, one of the so called rich, will have no production force that feeds your coffers, nd must toil to do the work yourself. The succesful people in that sick world of yours will be the ones that con the lesser folk into slavery or low wage work and profit from their labors. And we'll have the same bullshit again.

this

hell i see LITERAL FUCKING AFRICANS on this board all the time

Are you serious?

The capitalism is built on that majority works for the minority, there are no jobs for the 99 %, because then there will be inflation and then back to square one. Get your head out from the jews and learn something, capitalism is not meant for the majority of the people, its for the top 4 % so they can control you.

>Myth: Increasing the minimum wage is bad for the economy.

>Not true: Since 1938, the federal minimum wage has been increased 22 times. For more than 75 years, real GDP per capita has steadily increased, even when the minimum wage has been raised.

That's the minimum wage being raised to match the increase in cost of living, and it's been done in fairly small amounts each time with a very gradual curve. That kind of thing is fine, but it isn't what people like OP (or more accurately whoever made the image he posted) are talking about. A sudden and drastic increase will increase costs, for the same reason that the gradual increase in costs has caused the gradual increase in minimum wage.

Jesus christ this link is awful

>Myth: Raising the federal minimum wage won't benefit workers in states where the hourly minimum rate is already higher than the federal minimum.

>Not true: While 29 states and the District of Columbia currently have a minimum wage higher than the federal minimum, increasing the federal minimum wage will boost the earnings for nearly 38 million low-wage workers nationwide. That includes workers in those states already earning above the current federal minimum. Raising the federal minimum wage is an important part of strengthening the economy. A raise for minimum wage earners will put more money in more families' pockets, which will be spent on goods and services, stimulating economic growth locally and nationally

Didn't actually address the "myth"

Capatalism is a fact indeed.

a sensible post, wow

> Majority works for the minority

> The minority never goes to the Mcdonalds
> The minority never walks on streets
> The minority never takes a shit
> The minority never lives in houses

> Sweden

> CEO Guy

The common economist consensus backs what you said. Raising it is fine, but the amounts bernouts and the like want is way too much.

And still sweden has at least double the salary compared to the minimum in the colonies, they don't "starve"?

If prices for basic staples like bread or milk doubled or tripled, the country in question is at risk for revolution or serious rioting
