First for cold feet.

As normal as things get on this primitive dirtball inhabited by psychotic apes.

hello my fellow irish brothers

what is the best way to keep the death thoughts away

Anime.

>what is the best way to keep the death thoughts away
Escapism. Anime, vidya, and the internet in general do that for me.

>he thinks he knows what cold feet are
>he doesnt have raynauds disease

a lot of hash and find some meaning in your life bossman

>cold feet
>feet are barely covered

DUDE

>Well you book now for later, not for anytime soon
When I say anytime soon I mean for the foreseeable future. Not this year at the very least.

>But that does imply that you will be going in the far future?
I want to visit some historical sites in mainland Europe at some point. The imperial palace in Berlin is due to reopen in 2019, maybe then. It all depends really.

There are much nicer cities with more historical value in Germany than Berlin, but as long as you are enjoying yourself

Anyone have any tips for quitting smoking?

If I did go on holidays I'd like to travel to good few places. Partly because there's many places I'd like to see instead of anywhere in particular and partly because I doubt I'd go on holidays regularly so I might as well get the most of it.
You should trust me enough not to spend two weeks holed up in some overcrowded capital.
And as I said, nothing's set in stone yet. It's still quite likely I'll never leave the country again anyways.

found the general publics reaction and the governments response to the snow cringey and pathetic

What wold you have done differently? Bear in mind there were no deaths from the weather in Ireland and multiple deaths in the UK despite the conditions being similar.

buy proper snow ploughs

shit like this happens all the time everywhere else and the country doesn't shut down

>buy snow ploughs we'll need maybe every 40 years

>shit like this happens all the time everywhere else and the country doesn't shut down
Those other countries don't shut down precisely because they get this sort of weather all the time. We don't, hence we don't have an abundance of equipment to deal with large quantities of snow. I agree that we should have a few more ploughs in reserve, but it will never be cost-effective to be as prepared for snow as other European countries.

All that guinness in your system works as antifreeze

they're not expensive and they come equipped with gritters in the first place, just the ploughs on the gritters we have are shit

Same argument could be made for proposals to buy tanks, aircraft and training more soldiers.

They're arguably too expensive from a cost-benefit point of view. We could do with a few more, but unless heavy snow becomes more commonplace in Ireland, we don't need to rush out a place a bulk order.

Apart from serving more tangible purposes, a military acts as a deterrent. If Ireland buys up a load of snow ploughs, it isn't going to deter the snow from falling.

GLOBAL WARMING

I really wish people would stop saying that and use "Climate Change" instead.

I concur; I just wanted to point out that this may become a common occurrence (the snow I mean).

why didnt you read my post and rushed to disagree with me?

Future anti-snow plan for Ireland:
Knackers and other welfare recipients with shovels and salt

>You should trust me enough not to spend two weeks holed up in some overcrowded capital.
You never know
>It's still quite likely I'll never leave the country again anyways.
Why?
Apart from the usual reasons,it does seem like quite an extreme case unless you plan on dying soon

Got some of that ginger pepsi. It's pretty good, better than normal pepsi.

>You never know
You're right. I plan on spending an entire Summer shitposting on /deutsch/ and comparing terrible pictures I took of the Tiergarten in Berlin to the Bavarian countryside.
>it does seem like quite an extreme case
Not really. I don't see leaving the country as necessary to living a full life. I'm not ruling it out but it's not high on my priorities.
>unless you plan on dying soon
You never know.

>ginger pepsi

Are there any Ireland-exclusive non-alcoholic drinks?
You know like the Scots with their IRN BRU
>You're right. I plan on spending an entire Summer shitposting
Would be a big quality improvement for their threads desu
>but it's not high on my priorities.
Bit surprised to hear that from an ex-expat
Might have to enlighten us more on that
>You never know.
>ginger pepsi
Had to google that because I thought you were making things up
Can't be worse than Coke Vanilla

>Bit surprised to hear that from an ex-expat
I get the feeling you're confusing me for a certain someone.

The dream of being an black market Porn Baron will soon become a reality, boys. A hard border with the North will make it difficult, though:

>I get the feeling you're confusing me for a certain someone.
Sorry, was getting confusing messages here, still my arguments stays the same, you'll have to leave the country one-day if you want to tag along to the /éire/ Ping Pong championships in Italy
But I'm sure "Prinz's Germany diary" will make for a nice greentext and/or OC

>Are there any Ireland-exclusive non-alcoholic drinks?
I think red lemonade is pretty uncommon outside of Ireland.

>red lemonade
Does it have a special taste?
Why is it red?

Johnny Bravo is so fucking based.

>Does it have a special taste?
Yeah, but it's difficult to describe. Very sugary. Common mixer in bars and clubs.
>Why is it red?
No idea.

>the /éire/ Ping Pong championships in Italy
Now this is a new one.
>But I'm sure "Prinz's Germany diary" will make for a nice greentext and/or OC
"Day 3, I was given many scornful looks on the beach for my mistake of going barefoot under my sandals."

>Wearing sandals to begin with
You shouldn't try to rival them on their terrain
Also 90% of German beaches require wellies, not sandals
> but it's difficult to describe.
Would expect it to taste like berries or something?
But yeah,it does seem to be something inherently Irish

>socks
>at the beach
WHAT THE FUCK?

>Would expect it to taste like berries or something?
No, it's not a natural taste. It tastes sort of like Red Bull without the bite.

>You shouldn't try to rival them on their terrain
I'll stay away from the trains as well then.
>90% of German beaches require wellies
I need you to elaborate on this.

>he doesn't know

If it was good enough for the Romans, it's good enough for us.

Seriously though, I don't even own sandals myself, but I'll never understand why socks and sandals freak some people out so much. It's similar to all that faux outrage about pineapple on pizza.

Socks and sandals are fine but why socks at the beach? You're just getting them dirty for no reason, and they'd probably feel weird.. plus you'd be tracking sand around with them.

>I need you to elaborate on this.
The beach is very flat for several kms meaning that the tide has a rather extreme effect

What is Labour Day and why is there a problem with wearing white after it?

>If it was good enough for the Romans, it's good enough for us.
Froggy confirmed accepting of orgies.
>I'll never understand why socks and sandals freak some people out so much
It looks a bit weird and if you were at the beach you would be getting them sandy and soaked.
But I don't really see a problem with it outside of the meme, I still wouldn't do it though.
>It's similar to all that faux outrage about pineapple on pizza
It's basically a pre-internet meme. I guess it's one of those things many people agree on that becomes an easy way to earn social points by deriding those that do it.

Well that's certainly something. Would people really wear wellies to it in the dead of Summer though? I mean there's not much wrong with wading through the water in plain sandals, unless you come to the beach purely for the sand and hate the feeling of water.

It's full of broken shells and it feels more like mud than anything else, the sand doesn't really ever get dry and the tide leaves a lot of shit on the beach itself
Believe you can walk to some German islands from the mainland if the tide is right, but you can easily get stuck when you are on your own

Comes down to personal preference I guess

>What is Labour Day
Day celebrating the achievements and contribution of workers. We don't have it though.

>We don't have it though.
Don't you have a different holiday on the 1st of May?
Why not?

>Don't you have a different holiday on the 1st of May
We have the May Bank Holiday which is the first Monday in May.

That looks and sounds depressing. I shall avoid the coast with the exception of Kiel harbour.

>Day celebrating the achievements and contribution of workers. We don't have it though
When I come to power it shall be celebrated as Poi Day.The wearing white law will be enforced to prevent obvious fluid stains on clothes.
>pic
Why is she crying?

What's it got to do with wearing white though?

>it shall be celebrated as Poi Day.The wearing white law will be enforced to prevent obvious fluid stains on clothes.
Jesus said "Love your neighbour",Poi said "Cuck your neighbour",this shall be the spirit of the day
>We have the May Bank Holiday which is the first Monday in May.
So basically like labour day

>Why is she crying
Don't know desu. Perhaps she is stressed, lost a major battle, listening to bad music or Nonna is dead.

>What's it got to do with wearing white though
I thought it might have something to do with white being associated with the rich bourgeois, which is only a little bit true it would appear.
Looks like it has something to do with rich women's Summer fashion in the 19th century. Wasn't interested enough to continue reading.

>So basically like labour day
Yeah, but celebrating workers is for commies.

>So basically like labour day
Well it's a day off near the start of May, so maybe.
They have in the UK too I'd say, so we probably inherited it from them, but there is also May Day and Bealtaine which are a bit more ancient festivals and celebrations.
>Poi said "Cuck your neighbour"
Lies...

When they say after Labour Day, does that mean until the new year or just for a week or something?

>or Nonna is dead
According to the artist no one died, but it still seems strange. Even weirder is that the map she's looking over is from the American Civil War. Maybe she lost a bet to Kay or something, it wouldn't be out of character for her to cry just from losing.

Socialist Ireland's dead and gone, with Connolly in the grave.

>Lies...
All the proof I need
>When they say after Labour Day,
Depends on the context I guess
What are they talking about?

>the map she's looking over is from the American Civil War
Were you able to make that out from the names of the places?
>it wouldn't be out of character for her to cry just from losing
I should really finish watching the OVAs and movie.

>What are they talking about?
The saying is "Don't wear white after Labour Day" but I'm wondering how long after does that apply for until it's safe to wear white again.

>Were you able to make that out from the names of the places?
Comment on Danbo tipped me off but comparing it to a map here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_Wilderness confirms it.
The names Johnson and Wright are dead giveaways.

>I should really finish watching the OVAs and movie.
Poi I'm very ashamed of you. First part of Das Finale is out within the month and you'll be left behind.

>double (You)
I won't complain.
>you'll be left behind
>very ashamed of you
I know desu, I know. Was looking forward to doing the GuPsort as well, but I can't do that until I've completed everything.

>The saying is "Don't wear white after Labour Day" but I'm wondering how long after does that apply for until it's safe to wear white again.
1 Week seems like a reasonable period of time, going to order a white/gold adidas tracksuit for the occasion to show my support for the bourgeoisie
Also,no shame in not having watched the OVAs

>>W
>I won't complain.
My mistake, shall rectify this here.

>no shame in not having watched the OVAs
But you miss pasta girls.

Are there any drinking establishments in Dublin in which I could perhaps see provocatively dressed women, such as women wearing bunny outfits, or wearing little more than lingerie?

>expecting advice on /éire/ about engaging in normalfaggotry in Dublin
It's like you have no interest in getting an answer to that question.

If I was a normalfag I wouldn't want to do such things on my own and I'd have friends to ask about that sort of thing.

>eat
>have to shit immediately afterwards
Like clockwork. This can't be normal.

Troubles 2.0 when?

I was never that serious of a smoker, but I know someone who quit by replacing cigs with coffee. He realised smokes are essentially a comforting distraction that gives you an excuse to take regular breaks throughout the day. Just find a less harmful substitute is my advice

>have one thing to do all day
>don't do it

Hoping there's another weather event tomorrow. Some sort of monsoon-like rain would be nice.

Don't get greedy. There is supposed to be flooding in some places from all the snow melting though.

Canny be fucked going back to work tomoz

Translation?

Take a sick day, or say your car is busted from the snow.

Is cuma liom faoi dhul ag obair amárach

Snow had melted considerably and the buses are running. Think I'll save my sick days for later on when I'd appreciate them more which isn't now after what was essentially a 5 day weekend

Canny = Cannae referring to the famous battle of the Punic Wars. user is saying that the feelings of the thousands of Romans slaughtered on that day do not compare to his sense of dread regarding returning to his place of employment tomorrow.

Managed to get through a good chunk of that ten litres of milk surprisingly. Only a litre or two left.

>which isn't now after what was essentially a 5 day weekend
Likely a wise move. Kind of getting tired of being locked up inside personally, especially when there is little food left in the house.
Still a lot of snow where I am.

>Managed to get through a good chunk of that ten litres of milk surprisingly.
Why did you have 20 litres of milk?

>Kind of getting tired of being locked up inside personally, especially when there is little food left in the house.
I haven't been outside at all for 3 days.

Going to spend St. Paddy's in Cork, are there cute bois there?

>Why did you have 20 litres of milk
We had ten not twenty, and because we thought we'd need it, I presume, and that we might not be able to visit the shop for a while. Seems we were right.
>I haven't been outside at all for 3 days
I haven't left our property since like Wednesday but I was outside Thursday or Friday morning inspecting the snow.
Are you tired of being cooped up inside?

In Ireland, yes. In Cork, no.

>he didn't play in the snow
>he didn't need to buy food and drink only to find the good shops were closed so he settled for over priced Centra

>Are you tired of being cooped up inside?
Not at all. There have been a few instances in my adult life where I didn't go outside for a week or so.

>he didn't need to buy food and drink
My family are much better at heeding the warnings and making preparations than I am, luckily for me.
>play in the snow
Playing what exactly?

>where I didn't go outside for a week or so
Did you not have to venture out for food and such? What did you pass the time doing?

>My family are much better at heeding the warnings and making preparations than I am, luckily for me.
I stocked up initially but the snow lasted longer than I expected. I was lucky my local takeaway was open Friday really

>Playing what exactly?
Snowboarding and throwing snowballs. Considered making an igloo and snowman but never bothered. Snow in that volume is rare, wanted to make use of it

>Did you not have to venture out for food and such?
I do my shopping on a weekly basis ever since I was in college.

>What did you pass the time doing?
Internet mainly. This was back when I didn't even have the motivation to play video games.

>pic
Those are some nice tiddies.

>Snowboarding
Do you own an actual snowboard or is this a fancy term for "slid down a hill on a plank"?

I took the wheels off a skateboard. It functioned the same as a snowboard so it's definitely worthy of more respect than a random plank of wood

Time for leaba, unfortunately. Oíche.

>Snow in that volume is rare, wanted to make use of it
It's true, I hope you enjoyed yourself.

>do my shopping on a weekly basis
I should probably do this but don't. I usually just grab what I need every day or two, and since I don't cook too often I usually don't need to stock up on a huge amount.
>motivation to play video games
I've been going through one of those phases where I sort of lose interest in them. Hopefully it will pass.
>Those are some nice tiddies
I shall forward on your regards.

>I took the wheels off a skateboard
Incredible ingenuity, I approve.

>and since I don't cook too often I usually don't need to stock up on a huge amount.
How do you actually eat when you don't cook most of the time?

>I shall forward on your regards.
Much appreciated.

>How do you actually eat when you don't cook most of the time
Eat out and I'm home for the weekends.
Questioning whether I should actually bother cooking at all, just easier to go in somewhere for the lunch and have a sandwich or something for the supper.
Would still be a useful skill to have of course, and I should probably cook a few nights a week at least.

>Eat out
>multiple nights a week
Ah, so that's where your money goes. Living the Lux life.

>Eat out
Lewd.
>Questioning whether I should actually bother cooking at all
Invest in some fire safety equipment before next time, just in case.

>Time for leaba
I should really go soon, but I'm putting it off.
>Oíche
Codladh sámh.

Are flat-chested women barren and sad?

Barren? No. Sad? Yes, until given the love they deserve.

How can you be sure that they're not barren though? Their chests are.
