I'm fed up with news sites banning comments sections. I want to create a place where people can comment on content they find elsewhere, but without having to fear that that website will delete their comments or disable the comments section altogether. I have coding experience and the base functionality should be pretty simple to code, esp since a 'comments' module is readily available for all major web programming languages.
Positions are open for the next 48h, if you want to join, post some way to contact you here.

the media doesn't want any dissenting opinions at all, so comments have to go since the internet knows more than they do
what's wrong with Sup Forums for content?

Ment.com
>Scans news sites and takes user tips in order to find content >every news article/whatever is worth discussing automatically gets a thread creates about it >almost no moderation >anonymous >only one thread per topic >threads only about relevant topics
Caleb Nguyen
Your fucking government has disabled comments in REAL LIFE, worry about that kraut
Jaxson Campbell
already a project being developed.
if you have relevant experience (we're using ruby on rails) then you can get an invite if you want, but don't expect to get to choose the direction of the project just because you had the same idea dozens and dozens of others have had, going back to the mid 2000s
Benjamin Wilson
>just because you had the same idea dozens and dozens of others have had, going back to the mid 2000s funny how everybody's just happy with having the idea then, and nobody developing anything
i agree though, its a very obvious idea and even i had it for many years, but again didnt come to do anything in particular
how many are you?
are you describing an existing project or giving ideas for a new one? ment.com is something unrelated

Just go on reddit :^ )

>people have developed these things continually for decades bro, they just haven't really caught on. wow relly bro???? you think this hasn't crossed my mind?
how come there isn't one that's being used by all the people? there are so many main stream newspapers banning comment sections, and people want to comment. why dont they have a place to go?

Plug-ins already exist for that sort of thing, but too few people use them so it's bit of a moot point

This is why Hillary Clinton bringing up these alt-right sites and what not is not a good idea at all. Think about it, people can't voice their opinions on mainstream media sites. Hillary brings attention to Sup Forums, r/the_donald and Breitbart. Those sites become evermore popular while the ratings of the other sites decrease. In addition, they are red-pilled and more likely to vote Trump or at least not Hillary. It's like she doesn't know that we're playing her.
