Would you rather live in America or China? Assume that you make $50k per year or its equivalent in terms of purchasing power no matter which country you pick.
Would you rather live in America or China...
america
The country that doesn't harvest my kidneys because I disagree with government policy or I practice an unapproved religion like Falun Gong.
USA like how the fuck is it even a question.
If you say China then you are a delusional retard
Both are shit choices but the US is better
>2018
>there are still people who defend Falun Gong, which is basically the Chinese equivalent of Scientology
Fuck China
I'd go with China for a year or two just for curiosity's sake but for the rest of my life, Los Estados obviously
China
China because I can't live in a country without culture
Why? Your salary is the same so its not like you would be poor like everyone else.
Cults need to be stopped.
You're not going to find much of that in modern China. Thanks, Mao.
wtf. no matter how you feeel about america or any other country for that matter, give me one reason you'd prefer china over your own country unless you are a chink.
>pick between a steaming cesspool of shit and the natural habitat of mutts
Shall reluctantly pick China.
Brazil is better than both desu
To be honest, Li Hongzhi is far less of an attention whore than the Dalai Lama. He went into exile after the late 90s crackdown on FG and keeps a low profile. I've never heard of him going around speaking at universities for $30,000 a speech and hanging out with celebrities.
over my own?
yerro fever
the dalai lama also doesn't believe he could fly through meditation and encourage his followers to jump to their death
It's fine as long as I can visit Xi'an.
you'd unironically move to china? doubt that.
t. chang living in little shanghai, au
Bunch of ugly eyesore buildings? Don't know why you'd bother.
The CCP is paranoid about religious movements like these because of past ones in Chinese history like the White Lotus Society that caused civil wars and killed millions.
>50k
Is 50k a normal low tier job for the coast cities in america? How much is a normal salary there?
$50k is not good but not poverty either. Median entry-level salary of an engineer (not computers) is around $65-70k. $50k is more like a clerk's salary.
depends on the area, living expenses are almost double in bigger cities, so 50k there is like 30k for me in a rural area in less taxed state.
>engineer (not computers)
is that supposed to mean computer engineers take more? Also thank you. Honestly thought clerk job was paid more there.
less
I thought computer engineers were cool people who made employers wet.
Yeah, i am sorry i meant to write big coast cities.
>China internet usage
>10%
Holy shit, for real? Are these statistics from 20 years ago?
Everyone in China has a smartphone and even villages are getting Ali, Taobao and Wechat. Fucking misleading as fuck.
I guess it makes some sense because the leader in that picture was from the previous administration.
FLG is Chinese scientology.
>Chinese culture, that has existed for thousands of years, does not exist anymore after Mao
Not this meme again.
Those look nice actually.
It's not paranoia if it's justified. Last time Chr*stianity went unchecked, millions of people died because of some dude who thought he was Jesus' brother.
USA and it's not even close
>Are these statistics from 20 years ago?
>Obama
Best way of responding to this troll.
The guy just really likes China. What the fuck.
not him, but you are correct, software engineers make a lot more money than any other kind of engineers
That doesn't change the fact that statistic is sorely wrong. Chinese internet usage of 10% might be true like in 2005. But in 2017, it's around 50%, largely thanks to mobile usage.
techcrunch.com
>As of December, 2016, China had 731 million internet users. That figure represents 53.2 percent of China’s population, meaning that it is almost on par with the population of Europe: 743 million people. But, perhaps more impressively, 95 percent of internet users are on mobile; that’s 695 million in total. That means that, for the first time, half of China’s 1.4 billion population use the internet on a mobile device.
No. He REALLY likes china. So much he gets ass blasted when you say something negative about it.
>mfw my posts upset someone so much they can't bear to look at them or they will get very upset
China has a more restricted internet access. They probably don't browse the same thing we do.
>using reddit pepes to fit in.
You aren't fooling anyone shill.
China's Internet is its own world and not really anything like the Internet as we know it.
Well yeah it is restricted, but all of the same functions can be done on the Chinese Internet, social media, entertainment, research, etc.
It's not like Windows 95 AOL Internet.
Are you the one who thinks I work in an embassy?
China (Taiwan) of course
Taipei is one of my dream locations next to Tokyo, Hong Kong and Bangkok
六四事件
I love their paid 50 cent army on Sup Forums and Sup Forums.
Don't forget reddit.
$50k salary sounds pretty lower class to me, is that a middle class salary in America?
growing economy --> more chances to make it big
curiosity
no more problems getting quality girls
you get to live a rock star life on easy mode
Why spend money on posts on an obscure anime board with a thousand users at best. Russians do it on the big social networks, like Facebook and Twitter.
Please visit china so you can cure yourself of your fever.
Fucking Paris Syndrome 2.0
>say something nice about China
>you are paid shill, tiananmen shooting! cultural revolution!
Its average.
Sup Forums is a real political force..
there is a range really. and it highly depends on the state. it is a big country. in some places it is solid middle class but i'd say in most place it is lower middle class
define easy mode, curious if that's true. swimming in pussy?
It's an entry-level salary for a job that will make you middle class eventually. A teacher will make less than that to start with, but will end up with $75-$80k eventually. You can live pretty well on that in most places in America. Where I grew up, a half acre house costs $125k or so.
America 1000x over. And I'm a pretty big chinaboo. Here at least you can own a stand alone home pretty quickly and there is minimal pollution.
Then why does the CCP pretend that Tiananmen and the Cultural Revolution never happened? Why do they airbrush them from history?
I know a German girl who lived in Shanghai for a year and am good friends with Chinese people. I was never there though. What are you referring to?
It was justified most of them were liberals.
>china iz da greetest in da worl guys
China, ether Taiwan or Hong Kong idk about Macau on 50k ppp.
Lol, do you really believe in the whole meme magic thing? Pepe didn't get Trump elected.
I won't name names, but the real culprit's name rhymes with poutine.
No one in China pretends Cultural Revolution didn't happen, and the universal verdict is that it was horrible failure. It's impossible to deny it happened because literally everyone alive back then experienced it.
6-4 is much more taboo to discuss, but it's easier to cover up because it was a local event that didn't cover the whole country.
Either way, it isn't pleasant to open old wounds; and neither of these events detracts from the great progress made in the past forty years.
HK housing is too expensive, and it's crowded.
USA, I love china but there's no way I could learn the language or even blend in or anything. Plus there are yanks that like micks and with freedom of speech I could say anything about anyone or anything the government does and not get chopped up for being anti communist or whatever.
^This.

This is what happens to people who get on the party's bad side.
USA is no contest. If you want to visit china without leaving the states you can just go to California or Canada.
According to my mother, who was a student protesting in Tianamen during 6-4, the army just sat next to the square and yelled at the students to leave until they did.
Its nothing but propaganda
>Wikileaks: no bloodshed inside Tiananmen Square, cables claim
>Secret cables from the United States embassy in Beijing have shown there was no bloodshed inside Tiananmen Square when China put down student pro-democracy demonstrations 22 years ago.
Most of the soldiers in Beijing refused to fire on the protesters so they had to bring in army units from an outside region.
lol
Isn't 50k/yr USD in China Upper Middle/high class?
ha ha ha here comes the amerifat talking shit about an army that BTFO his country in korea
Last I checked, we held them to the 38th parallel until the end of the war and killed almost 800,000 of them, a good 3x the amount of casualties we lost.
America's goal was to conquer all of Korea and they failed big league against a barely trained army.
And also
>muh kills, muh KDR
Wars aren't about numbers, they are about objectives and achieving them.
>Qing military
Qing were shit and it's a good job they're gone. ROC was a weak, American puppet.
PRC is considerably better.
USA because at least I won't get grinded up getting off an escalator.
my girlfriend is from china and both of my parents are dead so china
Shenzhen
t. gook in america
>America's goal was to conquer all of Korea and they failed big league against a barely trained army.
The goal of the war was to save South Korea, which was accomplished, also the CPV were experienced veterans of the Chinese civil war, they were far from green soldiers, while the US Army in 1950 wasn't the same guys who fought on Iwo Jima, it was new kids who were like 12-13 years old back during WWII.
>The goal of the war was to save South Korea
Which is why MacArthur led American troops all the way up to the Yalu river...
And no excuses. America was the premier superpower of the world and Koreans and Chinese were poor boys from villages. China as a modern nation-state has just been founded the year before.
Asymmetric warfare ftw.
MacArthur was a dumbass with a god complex and he disobeyed orders from Washington to not go near the Yalu.
Damn, what's with all the commie Xitler shillbots in here?
>cannot argue
>my opponent is a shill!
Trump voter-level debate skills.
It's mostly one shill who spams pics of old artwork and buildings. His posts are comically easy to recognize.
I'm not exactly evading recognition. I like to post my photos.
>inb4 the typical all this stuff only exists in museum diatribe
China is a rich North Korea.
I lived in America and moved here
I don't know. In China I can be a king. But in US it's more interesting. Maybe.
Being pretty well off in a corrupt shithole country could be fun
he's Sup Forumss resident banana, you can recognize his posts instantly in every thread remotely about China or Asia.
he is massively butthurt, jerking his tiny peepee to Chinese propaganda and he can't even speak mandarin let alone read any Hanzi beyond the few that pop up in his shemale Doujins
