The Japanese were formed when the Jomon (ancestors to contemporary Ainu) started merging with the newly-arriving Yayoi (Korean/native Taiwanese-like people) in Honshu. The proto-Greek speakers have nothing to do with Indo-Iranians. They arrived to the Balkans from the Pontic Steppes and developed there for a while before merging with the previous Neolithic populations of Greece, which included mainly Levantine and Anatolian groups.
Some of those Neolithic populations gradually migrated to Japan around that time, likely because of pressure form the proto-Greek speakers.
