That's so at the end of the episode when they zoom in on the dragon getting zombiefied and they show a closeup of the BIG BLUE EYE people can so "ohhh right, hes a zombie now like the bear!" Because if they don't hit the audience over the fucking head with this shit as hard as they can, then right after the dragon opens his blue eye you have a shitload of people saying "WAIT, THE DRAGON STILL ALIVE!?"
Which some of them probably did anyway. All you can do is try to minimize it.

But the wights don't. They die to fire, obsidian, valaryian steel instantly, To normal weapons they can keep getting back up as long as their body is in a condition where it can still move. If you shatter it into pieces it won't be a threat anymore, but simply stabbing them and trying to have them bleed out or die from a vital organ being punctured won't do it.
The Hound smashed one's skull in with the hammer and it got back up.

In earlier seasons they used their blood to light the fire, they showed beric cutting his hands on the blade, but then more recently they just run their hands on the blade even with gloves and it lights or well Beric just seemed to light his just by holding it like a lightsaber.
