This. As a viewer I didn't feel much emotion because for 7 seasons they've exclusively used Drogon as the dragon of choice for all of the dragon scenes. Felt bad in sort of a meta way as an objective viewer I guess.
It would have had more emotional impact if it was Drogon that was killed though. Probably should have been. It's not like the size of her dragons matters in stopping the night king
