My brother is in tech and is 31. He makes over $100,000 working for a company that makes machines that hospitals use. His work is in DC but lives in Boston, everything goes on the company card, it's great. I work for a startup in Boston and am currently looking into applying to Nintendo and moving west. I'm 100% qualified too, it's not a bullshit goal.

Millennials who finished college and got a relevant degree will be fine. The truth is many millennials did a bunch of drugs and dropped out, or were lazy and dropped out. That's why they're struggling. That's why so many are servers/bartenders in rich metropolitan areas, it's pretty much the only work that pays enough without needing a degree or skills.

So what will millennials be like when they're 30? Fine. If they did the 2016 equivalent of "walking down to the local factory and shaking the managers hand" (get a bachelors/masters in something relevant like tech) they will be fine. The rest will be like the other forgotten losers of previous generations, only this time they'll be vocal and noticed thanks to the internet.

I don't know, I go for jogs and exercise and generally enjoy life. Being a NEET is just an early retirement but you should have a fallback plan later in life so you can keep it going.
