For those anons asking about the EpiPen scandal.
What the party did was make a huge bet that the maker of the EpiPen stock would drop significantly. An option is a financial contact that allows someone the right (not obligation) to buy or sell something at a certain price.
In this case the person was buying the right to sell the stock at 290$, which means they were betting it would go below or close to it. The important thing to realize about options is they are crazy volatile and can make huge swings in very short periods of time. This person turned $1900 into $56,000 in 3 hours.
They basically bet on something catastrophic happening to this stock, and it happened. Normal investors might do this if they want to protect other investments. But also people with insider information can do this and make a killing. The suspiciousness of the timing leads one to conclude its insider trading and HRC is involved.
