Sure, some aspects of our modern culture promote excessive consumerism and I tend to think that people should look at the bigger picture. But the attacks by the cultural marxists are not on consumerism and hedonism, but rationalsim, honour and even some of the freedoms actually worthwhile in the west. Cultural Marxism hits the wrong targets. It seeks entrench pluralism and cultural relativism in the west because it's goals are internationalist. (((They))) know fine well that a solid case can be made for socialism (in one country) and it would find reasonable support. They are absolutely committed to internationalism over nationalism. The idea that some aspects of western culture are objectively superior doesn't sit well with them.
Ultimately I don't think we should throw away our admitted advantages and benefits in an attempt to rapidly develop and integrate the third world because I don't have any faith that once on our level they won't decide they actually prefer the old system, just with roles reversed. I don't believe in the innate goodness of all people and I think destroying our cultural ties to each other leaves us a small, weak group in the face of much stronger identities who won't hesitate to use these identities to oppress future westerners.

The only people who discredit culture are those who have not felt the deep pride associated with living up to it. To an outsider who has never felt these things, it seems pointless but when you have a true appreciation for tradition, it take priority over everything else.

Culture and counter-culture is the natural way of progress. Once culture gets oversaturated by pretention and dumbasses, counter culture takes hold. Rinse and repeat.

The constitution and American law comes mostly off of English common law, going back to the Magna Carta days. This is, so to speak, Anglo law and it is part of Anglo culture. It is what has made this country so great in the first place.
Culture is much deeper than just food and dance and dresses. It's about belief systems, societal values, what this specific group of people deem to be the most important thing in life is (some cultures may consider happiness as the ultimate goal in life, others may consider individual successs, others may place community, etc.)
Just as a Muslim wants to preserve his Islamic culture, we want to preserve ours. we believe it is the best way to live life, and whoever does not agree can simply look for another worldview or culture of their choosing.

It's impossible to not be patriotic. The people who explicitly reject love for their country worship globalism, which is a nation in itself. If they all eat the same food, watch the same shows, read the same books, attend the same universities, work in the same multinationals - how are they not part of a culture? It's just a distributed nation.
To expand on my point, do indeed look at the Jews (no, not (((Those Jews))) ). there is a sense of community and belonging, this feeling of "we are here for you because you're one of us". Because you know Jewish culture (being Jewish yourself), you know what to trust your fellow men with, you know that they have your back (if they live up to their values, that is. And this is achieved through social stigma and shaming). A Jew cannot guarantee the same with other groups, specially Arabs/Muslims and, in the past, Christians. Jews want to preserve their identity because for the longest time they have been persecuted. They know not to trust anyone outside their tribe, they know that the values they hold are sacred to them.
I want to apply this universally. Americans should be proud of their culture, it is after all what got them here in the first place. If you cannot understand this concept, I suggest you do some travelling, then you'll see why cultural/national preservation is important.

The communism that people think of has already dissolved into our infrastructure. It's hard to feel the effects of communism unless u work for the government.
All of America is liberal and have been since they broke away from England. They have never been conservative in the traditional sense (conservationism being a reactionary movement against enlightenment thought)
They aren't communist, but don't think that means being liberal is a good thing.
