I've heard Nigeria is nice in African standards, which really isn't saying much desu.

I heard Ghana is doing okay

Libya could have gone somewhere if they hadn't gotten Obama'd.

Tunisia or Morocco because they're the most Caucasian.
Half of them are literally descended from black Americans who took over the country in the past.

I'm no expert, but here are some thoughts of mine on some of the better-off countries. Hope this helps.

South Africa has a strong economy, but major social/racial issues which could cause things to go downhill, a la Zimbabwe.

Botswana is very stable and democratic, although AIDS is a serious issue there.

Zambia is very peaceful. They had a white president for a while recently.

Kenya has a bright future I suppose, with a very solid agricultural base for their economy.

Nigeria has a lot of oil and a massive labour force, but the unbelievable levels of corruption over there have screwed up development in the past.

Ghana is stable and democratic, and their economy is growing very rapidly.

Côte d'Ivoire used to have one of the strongest economies in Africa, but the civil war ruined that. They're on the road to recovery now though.

Morocco is generally stable and enjoys a lot of support from western countries.

Tunisia has big problems with jihadis right now, but they have a good chance of becoming a role model for democracy in the Arab world. Definitely one to watch.

The former German colonies are doing quite good. When's the last time you heard of anything bad happening in Namibia or Tanzania?

The problem being is that Nigeria and Ethiopia will be forced into a civil war once they're worth anything because the Guld States won't want Ethiopia to be a regional power that close the the actual gulf, they could fuck things up for the Saudi's, and they would want Nigeria to be an OPEC slave not the leader of it or leave all together.

The Gulf States will send in or support Islamic militants that will seek to grab a lot of the country or straight up overthrow the government if it looks like they won't kneel to the Gulf States.

The monkey wrench is China; if China starts putting factories in Nigeria per se and uses them for making shoes and very basic things like the States did to China in the 1950's then whoever China backs will win. Where the U.S comes in, I don't know. Knowing the States they're probably just back whoever the Saudi's are because otherwise they'll bitch and whine, but the States in all reality won't give a shit and will probably throw some M16's at Boko Haram and call it a day.

Somalia, all the africans leaving for sweden was the best thing for it, the future is very bright.

Surely Ethiopia. It has one of the fastest growth rate in Afrika. And, unlike other relatevely (by african standarts) rich african countries it grows not because of exporting natural resources.
