This kills the socialist's """muh Scandinavia""" argument

>if some guy colors a country green on a map that must mean they are economically free!

>today colombia reminded me that i live in a shithole
thanks buddy :s

>Mexico
>South Africa
>Uganda
>Phillippines
If your country is yellow you live in a shithole. You only included yellow because you are from a yellow.

are socialists interested in economic freedom?

like the opposite right? - centrally planned economy

phew

B-but Magyarorszag is yellow, therefore not that bad

probably with cringy memes about helicopters.

Exactly. Lefties in Latin America like to use Scandinavia as example of working "socialist countries" even though they are capitalistic as it gets

they are. they are all capitalist countries with relatively efficient welfare systems. in many cases (education, healthcare, etc) they spend less per capita on "free" government stuff than the US.

feels good living in an overtaxed socialist abyss

There’s is no inherent relationship between “economic freedom” and economic success.

For all we know, being rich makes you more “economically free.”

Look at East Asia. South Korea was/is 90% chaebol which basically are semi state owned conglomerates. The exchange rate was fixed until 1995. The prices were all set until the 1980s. Exports are still all subsidized and imports are highly tariffed.
Only 5% of Koreans own/run a business compared to 12% of Chinese and 17% of Americans.

Yet South Korea is highly developed. Japan, Taiwan (Republic of China), and Singapore show the same phenomenon. Heavy state control of the economy with ample intervention.

Why would someone in their right mind want to live in a country with heavy state control?

>colombia thinks its not a shithole
colombia and shithole are synonyms, my black friend

whats dis

you seem buttblasted mutt

about what, exactly? I'm just pointing out a fact
that's why your sluts like Sofia VERGAra are all whoring themselves out in the US?

callate chicano de mierda

Is this HDI by country?

well if she's successful in a comedy series that's good for her, doesn't mean she's whoring herself just managed to get there with talent

FREEDOM

the US is 14%black, Colombia is 10%. It's statistically more likely that you are black and not me

>doesn't mean she's whoring herself just managed to get there with talent

LMAO
yes the annoying accent really paid off

yes, but the remaining 90% of colombia is brown, lmao

Economic freedom is a spook

based leaf boy

post your skin tone, Jamal

Koreans are still working 68-hour-workweeks. Their economy didn't boom till the 90s. This with highly US investment. Chaebols are more like corporate fiefdoms - a few families control most of the industy, yes, and they get huge voice in how the country is run. It is more like the state is semi-owned by the corporations.

Japan likewise, had intensive foreign investment, but living standards have stagnated for several years. Even with negative interest rates the economy isn't being spurred.

Subsidizing production isn't just a thing for those countries you mentioned, it is standard for most powers. US, Russia, China and the EU all run export-oriented agricultural programs.

> Morocco is yellow and Tunisia is orange
This can't be true

The real question is: How does Straya do It?

Averagetugal

Thanks America! You truly have taught us well.

I'm craving for a burger and an AR-15 right about now, God I love Freedom.

South Koreans are richer than you, Joáo

>strong rule of law
>little corruption
>the fact that we steal Chinese millionaires

add in that were one of the most stable countries on earth these things just get to build up over time

chicago bois

>not being free as chile

We don't need it

Why is ecuador red? I've always seen you as a peaceful country. Does your government oppress people there?

Leftist policies when it comes to economy

Meme map implying that economical freedom is necessarily good

Basically this Also 2017 hasn't been the greatest for the country, since Correa left with a hidden debt the country has which discouraged the private investment
