This episode gave me hope that Rick and Morty is not completely dead yet.. It felt like something true to this series' core, probably because it was written by a guy who sticks with the stuff since season 1.

I hope that Roiland doesn't abandon his child completely and lets good people write his show, not some trash tier whores.

I honsetly dont see what people who hate this season are complaining about

hey reddit

dude, lets make an episode about therapy in a cartoon when you can travel through dimensions and do what you want lmao

>look guys my cartoon is still cool
kys

I don't know if Roiland is an alright guy or not, alright at least in terms of not being batshit insane I mean, and it's absolutely Roiland's baby in every conceivable way... But Dan Harmon is main billing co-credited and he is a cancer that ruins everything he touches and he is actually insane.

youtube.com/watch?v=XKvsLLfRpLs

I agree op girls are so dumb and stupid!

Yes? The show was always about juxtapositions of the mundane and fantastical. I just dont get the hate at all.

but the teacher eats poop LMAO!

A lot of Rick's dialogue sounds exactly like how Dan Harmon talks in real life so I'm not sure all the people trying to give Roiland full credit because they don't like Dan is really accurate

the therapy scenes in that episode were far better than anything rick was doing

>hope that Rick and Morty is not completely dead yet

but OP, it was born fucking dead!

This was the worst episode so far. There was nothing funny about it, and it just keeps beating the fact that Jerry's a fucking loser. We fucking get it. His character is so 1-dimensional and so obviously being used as a scapegoat for everything bad in the family's relationship that I was honestly glad we hadn't seen him for several episodes, because I knew Harmond and Roiland weren't going to do anything new with Jerry's character development and just keep pushing him down. And what do you know, I was right.

At the end of the episode I actually checked the video progress bar to make sure it was a full episode, because it felt like 10 minutes of content stretched into 20. I have no idea why anyone who though the last ones were bad thought this one was good, except that "it was made by a man so it must be good".

the writers just need a real meeseeks box.
tell them to improve the show and it will be good again.

youtube.com/watch?v=xE14KwEfR6Q

>literal infinite possibilities
>choose to waste an entire episode on a single unfunny gag with the other half of the season being about how Dan Harmon is really upset about his divorce

>this shit was better then the other shit

barely anyone on Sup Forums has legit opinions on the season, they just force themselves to have them based on who wrote it

They hate women. That's literally it.

Jerry gets shit on in an episode written by a woman? It's shit. What a fucking bitch! A male writer does it? The series is saved.
Rick gets told off by a woman in no uncertain terms as to why he's a shitty person? It's shit. Jerry does it in an episode written by a man? The series is saved.
Morty takes a back seat to Summer for one episode? The show is called Rick and Morty, not Rick and Summer! But we get a Rick and Jerry episode? Hallelujah, the series is saved.

This board is has been overrun by virgins who just want to bitch about women. They know they can't do it on /r/rickandmorty because they'd get downvoted, so they do it here.

I'll give you some complaints:
>Lack of comedy compared to s1 and 2, both in quality and quantity
>Flanderized, unrecognizable characters
>Self insertion characters being smarter than Rick
>Half of an entire episode spent on a pun
>Mary Sue Summer
>Bitch Beth
>Whiny Morty
>Jerry torture porn (female writer angst)

Latest ep was ok, but still lacking in comedy, which is a bit of an issue in this COMEDY SHOW

I can't go to Reddit, because I am not a borderline retard who likes to participate in mental deficient circlejerking. But it seems that you would fit in just right.

>It was written by a man so it's better despite having all the hallmarks of what makes this season suck

It's smack dab in the middle, Vindicators had a more classic Rick and Morty feel and wasn't bogged down by divorce bullshit.

the show has always had light ordinary family drama though

My favorite thing about the last episode was Rick calling Jerry out on weaponizing his victim complex to manipulate people.

It's exactly what every /r9k/ woman-hating incel does. The constant whining about niggers, no gf, family hates me, etc. It's the same performance of "waah, pity me, I am the victim in every confrontation imaginable"

It's not hard to see why self-hating virgins are mad at this show. It satirizes their bullshit impeccably.

First I watch the episode then I check who wrote it. I will always make an assumption based on my experience and I am generally right, for example I feel like the next episode is going to be written by a woman, based on this preview:
youtube.com/watch?v=b-4sXhxAP0U

You know why? Because everytime I feel like something is lacking or outright weird, it's always a work of an amateur. And those women they hired for season 3 are all amateurs.

All of this totally makes sense for the Evil Morty theory. They are simply not the same characters. If that's not the case, and all of this shit doesn't go anywhere, then I can agree with you.

im not one for reading too much into the quality of a comedy show week for week
but what i will say, the extremely graphic cartoon violence definitely went up and its the same dumb trend as in family guy/american dad.
bad writers just think thats enough for a joke

It had better gags but the divorce and muh family feelings stuff is like a bad smell

>My favorite thing about the last episode was Rick calling Jerry out on weaponizing his victim complex to manipulate people.

Which would be nice if it weren't for the fact every time Jerry ever tried to take a stand for himself, his family responded by either browbeating him into submission or, in the case of the season premiere, abandoning him. It's also hilarious coming from a character who's only tolerated by his daughter because of a severe level of emotional manipulation on his part. Jerry gets zero barbs in because nobody's allowed to call out Rick except for self-inserts or Morty, and the line is effectively telling the audience that if they sympathize with Jerry, then you're falling for some kind of trap and Rick's right. It's as if they predicted the reaction to Beth being a terrible parent and preemptively wrote an episode that made Jerry look worse in comparison and making rooting for him a crime.

It's bothersome that this series is trying to become character driven when all the characters are awful people and nobody changes.

clyp.it/z4hsltmr

That's fair enough. But one thing that is stupid is how much we are supposed to care about this divorce- why is so much time spent referencing it? It is literally meaningless. Morty left his real family in another dimension that is basically hell, so why should a fucking divorce get to him this much?

I, love, Morty and I hope Morty loves me.

What is this?

>Realize this:
The spark of the series is dying off. There is no going back.
They'll just keep making these reddit tier episodes just for the retarded fans.

I wonder how those dimensions with Jerry and Beth together work

Justin has already moved onto Solar Opposites.

if the arguments were that the episodes feel off because they're written by new people getting the hang of the show, I'd say it was a good argument. But it's always just bitching about women. I have to agree with in that a lot of it is just women boogyeman. At least on Sup Forums

>Mary Sue Summer
>Flanderized, unrecognizable characters
>Self insertion characters being smarter than Rick
problems that dont exist (a psychiatrist understanding Rick isnt surprising because he isnt complex)

>Bitch Beth
>Whiny Morty
>Jerry torture porn problems that always existed

Because it's the main reason everything is falling apart and characters go crazy, gradually driving Morty to the dark side. And this is not C-137 Morty, so he never left his family.

We spent all of season 1 caring about their relationship. This isnt new for the show at all. The show is practically about Beth and Jerry all along

it's just not funny, nigga

I agree OP

>And this is not C-137 Morty, so he never left his family.
Headcanon

>We spent all of season 1 caring about their relationship.
I didn't. I fucking hated their boring sidestories, worst part of the show.

Ugh I can't stand harmontown anymore. Honestly watch it for Jeff now

I agree with you to an extent. Up until recently Rick has always been depicted as infallible, and Jerry has largely been used as a punching bag by the family. I think each character is purposely depicted with their own exaggerated character flaws (Rick's being his contempt for morality) with Morty serving as the voice of reason.

With that said, the characters are changing. Rick apologized to Beth and admitted that he shouldn't lie to her. Jerry admitted that getting his family back shouldn't be done by trying to gain their pity. Beth is realizing that being a good mother requires sacrifice on her part.

The show has always been extremely self-aware, and I think a lot of what is happening this season reflects that.

Personally, I think the best parts of the show are the meta self-analysis parts, not the wacky adventure parts. That's just me, though

It's just a theory that makes this piece of crap somehow bearable and even slightly interesting. I don't say it's true, but I would be disappointed if it's not.

>kill people for not saying something you want to hear
that sounds pretty facist

where do i watch this shit uncensored?
I found a torrent for the first season that was uncensored, but nothing for the other ones.
I refuse to listen to beep boops because criminally retarded americans believe that some words can be bad.

1 and 5 were the best, the second episode was okay, 3 and 4 were shit.

obviously, the quality has dipped but the rest of the season still should have some good episodes

Completely agree user. I went from liking it to watching it when I'm tired or bored, and the last ep had me, surprisingly, quite entertained.

youtu.be/bZCSFqcCy6M?t=14m6s

Reminder season 3 is an alternate demension showcasing Evil Morty's rise to power

>e1
I liked. Meme's aside the szechuan sauce was legitimately funny.

>e2
>Mad Max
>Rick and Summer
Awful episode and worst this season by far.

>e3
Extremely dumb, but still managed to be funny imo.

>e4
Felt like a good goofy episode from a previous season.

>e5
Not great, but not bad. The edginess of the kid shooting the kid was painful.

How does this make sense if season 3 follows season 2 with escaping the prison, which was after establishing Evil Morty

I agree apart from 3, which was shitty because half of it was set in that Mary Sue psychiatrist's

Infinite timelines, infinite possibilities

The best part were the little people inside the machine imo

They are all in the same point of time, there is no time travelling in Rick and Morty.

This

>watching a cartoon
>wanting depth and character dimension
Pick one nigga

>edginess of the kid shooting the other one was painful

completely agreed. i normally like dark humor but that was
A) predictable
and
B) not funny or neccesary at all

like what purpose did that serve? just to shock you?

So just like in ep1 where the frozen kid shatters

>expecting a show to keep being amazing every episode for years
>being this assmad over a cartoon
Full. Retard.

You're right. I forgot about the B plot in that one.

That fit better in context of the episode and developing the feel of the show. So no, not really.

But the evil nazi incels liked the last episode where Rick criticized Jerry

The Pickle Rick parts of Pickle Rick were infinitely more interesting and engaging than the Family Therapy parts. If the episode was just Pickle Rick fucking around then it would have been a hundred times better.

the therapy is juxtaposed with a sentient pickle disembowling rats, what is your point?

>having no standards
>getting mad at criticism
pleb

>complaining about the kid shooting the other kid
back to Sup Forumsmblr, that was a well-needed joke after all of the "deserved" deaths in the previous episodes in this season. Hopefully there will be more of that so people like you stop watching.

>like what purpose did that serve? just to shock you?
Why do you type like a woman? haha just wondering

dan harmon is so fucking disgusting to look at. imagine working with that mess of a man

You may be right; but that's probably just because most of them are too dumb to understand when they're being made fun of. If a female character had delivered those exact same lines to Jerry, they would most likely be triggered.

No way to know for sure, unless it was that dumb therapist character that hopefully never shows up again.

I agree. It's much worse than anything this season and that's why I cant take complaints about this one seriously

>ignores criticism because it also includes criticism of wymyn
Are you lost? Here a map:
Reddit ------>

I disagree. DUDE GORE LMAO isnt as interesting as exploring character motivvations

Ive seen Mary Sue brought up 3 times this thread and as usual it's a meaninlgess term that nobody understands.

>i need to invent hypothetical situations to make an argument

So...a typical Dan Harmon show going into its 2nd or 3rd season?

Was used twice and you're full of shit because they were self-insert stronk wymyn. The psych was so fucking flagrant too.

Girl on the left looks like a background alien character.

ayyy lmao
I didnt even knew that this episode was written by a guy, just that I liked it more than the rest.

Not really, because when the female therapist called Rick out on using his seemingly infallible intelligence to dodge the responsibilities of being a good father/grandfather (which is completely true btw), the internet incel brigade was outraged by "m-muh self insert" - which avoids the fact that everything she said was right on the money. They just couldn't handle their edgy atheist science god being cast in a negative light by a woman.

So, no, I don't have to invent arguments. Fuck off

PICKLERICKERS IN THE HOUSE TONIGHT!

Not him but I agree. Do you see how many people unironically post the Morty rant in Interdimensional Cable 2 when its just a joke making fun of people who say things like that because they dont have a girlfriend?

No they werent. You people want Rick to be the only smart person in the universe

>if the arguments were that the episodes feel off because they're written by new people getting the hang of the show, I'd say it was a good argument. But it's always just bitching about women.
You know, it could be both. Women generally have problems functioning at the highest levels, which is where R&M S1 kind of sits for animated comedy.

tbwf it isn't that much worse than season one.
And season one was already mediocre. It's just that it was new. Now after a year It's really not that good because people got used it it

Infinite timelines meaning there is more than one Citadel of Rick, some of which are and aren't destroyed.

There isn't a chance for evil Morty to replace C-137 Morty which means he isn't evil morty unless he turns evil than goes back in time, which is dumb.

Season 3 sucks.

Rick and Morty is a smart show, but definitely not the highest levels of comedy. I think it's just that women writers triggered Sup Forums enough for the wool to be taken off their eyes to make them realise the show in general isnt that great, and they blame womyn

>Morty rant in Interdimensional Cable 2 when its just a joke making fun of people who say things like that because they dont have a girlfriend?
ah, another autist who doesn't understand that the insult at the end is just to cover their asses. Harmon himself has ranted like that irl a hundred times, in the same ass-covery style.

>No they werent.
The psych is drawn to look like the actual writer of the episode. You can go back now if you have nothing to contribute.

Season 3 episode ranking: 5>1>4>

...

No, Citadel of Ricks includes Ricks from different dimensions, like how is this not known to you? Where do those all Ricks come from?

Also they kinda fixed this infinite shit with saying that there is a spectrum of Ricks that count as functional Ricks and everything else doesn't matter, so it's not about infinite timelines.

R&M in a nutshell

1, 4, 5, 3, 2

1 isn't even in the same class as the others

Eh, I'd put 1 over 5. Maybe even Vindicators (4) also. 1 was a really, really good episode.

>ah, another autist who doesn't understand that the insult at the end is just to cover their asses.
>i need to invent hypothetical situations to make an argument
That's cool

>The psych is drawn to look like the actual writer of the episode
Right, you just read what a Mary Sue means on tv tropes and applied it to everything because that makes you good at analysis. Good job buddy. What the Psych looks like is irrelevant, because she isnt to be treated like a full character, but a vehicle to bring forth the points being made about their characters. Psych scenes in pretty much everything only serve the purpose of allowing the means for the audience to learn about the characters.

>DUDE I HATE WOMEN LMAO

>the writer of the shitty pickle rick episode says in some interview that the therapists is her character
>problems that dont exist
kys reddit retard.

>someone is smarter than Rick because they understand one aspect of his personality after spending a day with his family
go back to analyzing spongebob episodes

>being this much of an sjw you can't even reason anymore
wew that sucks
