Are you satisfied with the current state of Godzilla? Something for almost everyone. There's the empty Hollywood spectacle. The thought provoking masterpiece. And the futuristic interpretation that isn't restrained by the limitations of live-action.

I'm gonna say no because it looks like Annofags have made their way to film.
first post worst post
Which one might you be referring to?
What's the one on the right?
the godzilla anime movie coming out in november
youtube.com
if you overlook the CG anime it looks fantastic
>LegendaryGoji
10/10
>ShinGodzilla
11/10
>That right thing
disgusting/10
> disgusting
It's an aged Godzilla. What's the problem?
...
He killed millions
so did a german fellow we're quite fond of
I don't catch your drift
...
>aged
It's plant Godzilla from the CG Anime
Where are these statues and where can I find more pictures of them?
>There's the empty Hollywood spectacle
>woo hoo!
>let's hear it for empty Hollywood!
>middle looks like Nightmare On Godzilla St
>far right looks like Incredible Hulkzilla
Childhood is thinking Right Godzilla is the best because it's the most complicated design
Angsty Teenage Years are thinking Middle Godzilla is the best because he represents your emo fantasies of growing from a stupid mongoloid weakling who can barely live above the water to a force capable of destroying an entire nation of normies without moving a whole lot. Maturity is realizing that left Godzilla is the best, a being with experience and intelligence yet not lacking physical prowess, who understands that the real threats are not the ones attacking him directly but the (((ones))) that must be hunted down and fought against indeterminable odds, and also who recognizes that his strength may be a threat to the innocent, and thus does his best to avoid damage to them while taking his opponents down with wit and strategy rather than brute force.
Looks like garbage.
I still think the '98 version should've had more of a shot. It looks like Beowulf meets Alien.
It's not Zilla's fault her movie was terrible
3rd one looks a shit.
Why would Godzilla have washboard abs? Does Japan want me to fuck Godzilla?
>her
He is a male
>Why would Godzilla have washboard abs?
Because he's Super Saiyan Godzilla
The one on the right is the new Japanese Godzilla.
I felt bad for Zilla at the end with those final moments in pain knowing that its offspring were all dead
A
hollywood one easily the best of the bunch. try again
>There's the empty Hollywood spectacle
Christ, you people absolutely need to be victims in order to have a reason for existing, don't you.
STOP WITH THE GODDAMN CG SHIT, YOU STUPID FUCKING NIPS REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>that thing on the right
Why did Godzilla merge with Swamp Thing?
>Godzilla is the largest life form ever recorded and possesses unique body tissue integrated with metal-like muscle fibers, which can generate a strong electromagnetic charge, to support his massive weight. The end result of natural selection on Earth, he originated from plant-based life and has gone on to survive 20,000 long years as a super-evolved living organism.
His new origin is alright, but I don't why they had to make him a plant.
Not happy with the 2014 movie. It's basically nothing but MUTO the movie with a fuckton of insipid drama and uninteresting characters with Godzilla being almost reduced to cameo.
Biollante tie in?
>tfw like all three
It's a good time to be a Zillerfag
Humans are always the bad guys. Zilla just wanted to have a sushi party with its kids and the murrican savages murdered them all harder than male chicks.
OP wasn't trash talking the 2014 design, only the quality of the movie. Bearzilla is okay.
Now I want to see a crossover with Swampthing.
Bring Heisei Godzilla back or riots
FUCKING
all but one
He's dead Jim.
Jr.'s not, and he's basically identical to his dad by the end, just not as much of an asshole.
Doesn't change the fact the movie has nothing to offer except visuals. It fails both at having anything meaningful to say and having fun with itself. On the latter point, the film treats everything with the utmost seriousness and keeps the monsters time very limited to its own detriment. After the death of the father the human narrative isn't engaging at all. So what else is there?
>grootzilla
He is literally a tree not just plant looking. A tree.
I love it.
TREE
Thx, Bones.
I AM GROOT
And we couldn't just have Godzilla be big because he's supposed because why...?
They're going all out to be as different as possible to justify the making of Godzilla into an anime, because you're not supposed to make Godzilla into anime in the first place and if they fuck up, they'll have a lot of nip autists on their back.
Left: The most plausable Midde: Retarded Godzilla offspring all grown up Right: Over the top but with some modifications could work
I want to fuck it
He looks less tree-like here, tho. He has claws, tongue, and veins and shit.
>because you're not supposed to make Godzilla into anime in the first place
I mean, I get doing something different, but you don't have to make it so outlandishly absurd by changing what the character is. What's wrong with a traditional Godzilla anime? Why not do a story that has a regular Godzilla in a way that could never be done on film?
>Animeposter has pleb taste
Who would've guessed?
A FUCKING LEAF
You look like garbage
>What's wrong with a traditional Godzilla anime?
Toku enthusiasts will call it pointless. You have to look at it from their perspective. Shin's use of CG and motion capture really flared up their autism at first. They don't like change.
>Why not do a story that has a regular Godzilla in a way that could never be done on film?
After Shin people expect an outlandish design anyways. You won't be seeing classic Godzilla from Toho for a while.
Bara daddy zilla on the left there is the best one :3c
When you zoom in, you find he's made of plants, you zoom out he looks like a giant lizard. They're going to explain why this is in painstaking detail in the movie and I'm not sure what over the top science they're going to conjure up.
GODBARA
He's got a neat roar.
youtu.be
This looks like a PS3 game.
To save billions
Leaked image of Rodan
AAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Why are we still here, just to suffer.
Because you bury toku if you do that. If the anime godzilla is flying around shooting lasers like it's a Gundam anime then the live action cannot compare to that. They simply cannot make a suit move that way and are forced to go full CGI if they wish to compete. By going CGI you lose the weight of the suit, you lose the model building aspect of toku and you lose any sort of reality to it. At that point why the fuck aren't you just going full animation any way?
Modern classical style music doesn't add dub step sound effects to it because it would ruin what is there. Same applies to toku movies like this, people are looking for something classic, doing it as anime misses the entire point of doing it. I can see hundreds of giant monster animes, but how many giant monster movies in rubber suits can I see?
I'm extremely happy with the current state of Godzilla. I like how all 3 recent iterations have had their own take on the character and origin.
This looks like fucking shit
