BEST: A Serious Man

BEST: A Serious Man
WORST: Intolerable Cruelty
FAVORITE: Barton Fink
OVERRATED: Inside Llewyn Davis
UNDERRATED: The Man Who Wasn't There

>DUDE THEIR LEAST POPULAR ONE IS THEIR BEST LMAO
good meme

>No Country for Old Men not even on the list
okay

what? no country for old men is overrated, a serious man is overrated by hipsters who dickride it because it isnt mainstream but still a good film, and llewyn davis is their best film and accurately rated

>llewyn davis is their best film and accurately rated
What a waste of trips

>BEST: A Serious Man
I agree with this.

>implying it isnt

O Brother Where Art Thou is the best one though

>their least popular

But that's Ladykillers, everyone hates it. I thought it was okay

>BEST: A Serious Man
I agree, except maybe for NCFOM
Underrated could be Millar's Crossing

I also liked A Serious Man.

BEST: O Brother
WORST: Ladykillers
FAVORITE: Fargo
OVERRATED: The Big Lebowski
UNDERRATED: Barton Fink

That's just like, your opinion, man

It is pretty overrated. That being said, it's still a very good movie.

>BEST: The Big Lebowski
>WORST:Burn after Reading
>FAVORITE: Barton Fink
>OVERRATED: Fargo
>UNDERRATED:No Country for old men

>Best Picture winner
>underrated

You can pick almost any film from their filmography and someone will think that is their absolute best, while with most other directors people argue about two or three films max as being their best work.
How the fuck do they do it?

By being consistently good

by being jewish

>WORST: Intolerable Cruelty

Fuck, what a pleb

Hail Caesar is miles worse than any other Coen movie I've seen.

Intolerable Cruelty is Romance Comedy KINO. If you weren't such a fucking virgin autist you'd have been able to appreciate the movie.

good writing, good actors, original ideas, and an original directive style.

BEST: Barton Fink
WORST: Intolerable Cruelty
FAVORITE: O Brother where are though
OVERRATED: True Grit
UNDERRATED: Ladykillers

BEST: No Country For Old Men
WORST: Hail Caesar
FAVORITE: Inside Llewyn Davis
OVERRATED: Barton Fink
UNDERRATED: A Serious Man

>Generally considered the last great Oscar movie
>Underrated

BEST: In the mood for love
WORST: My blueberry nights
FAVORITE: Fallen Angels
OVERRATED: Chungking Express
UNDERRATED: The Master

OP's a fag

Here's the definitive rankings

>BEST: The Big Lebowski
>WORST: Hail Caesar
>FAVORITE: Intolerable Cruelty
>OVERRATED: No Country for Old Men (still really good though)
>UNDERRATED: Burn After Reading

>Oscar winner
>has to be necessarily famous
cool meme, but this movie isn't all that known outside the US,just like the 2004 oscar winner Crash.

both fallen angels and chungking express have abysmal second halves

Worst has got to be Hail Caesar, didn't even feel like a movie

this

>ctrl-f "fargo"
>only 2 hits

sage sage sage sage sage

That's because Crash, like every oscar winner since NCFOM, was absolute shite pushed by politics instead of filmmaking

BEST: Fargo
WORST: Burn After Reading
FAVORITE: The Man Who Wasn't There
OVERRATED: The Big Lebowski
UNDERRATED: Blood Simple

I'm afraid of watching it again, it was very good but also terribly depressing

Not a single one of you put Miller's Crossing on your list in any spot.

I'm leaving and never coming back.

BEST: No Country for Old Men
WORST: Blood Simple, still an 8/10
FAVORITE: Big Lebowski/Inside Llewyn Davis
OVERRATED: Fargo
UNDERRATED: Hail Caesar!

>a serious man is overrated by hipsters who dickride it because it isnt mainstream
they dickride it because it's a legitimate surrealist black comedy masterpiece

they're literally the best living directors. It's unquestionable at this point. And yeah I know Godard is still alive but he's a communist hack

I have a theory that every Cohen/Clooney collab results in a mediocre at best movie.
People always try to push O' Brother but it's just a tryhard meme with two good songs

Hail Caesar fucking rules. It's an incredibly funny film about the merits of goodness, kindness, and righteousness while being spiritually and politically honest.

Bertolucci motherfucker

O'Brother is definitely great but also definitely overrated. I would put it as my #1 overrated but I think that goes to Fargo as stated here
