Here's my tip, now fuck off.

>not tipping your mailman
>not tipping your cashier
>not tipping your police officer
>not tipping your ups driver
>not tipping your garbageman

>servers make between 2-3 dollars an hour
No, bullshit. That's their base. If their tips don't make it so they're at least making minimum wage, the company has to pay the difference. All servers make minimum wage, most do better

There are two types of people who don't tip.
Jews and blacks.
Which are you op?

You fucking hooked me leaf. But why is it my problem that waiters don't get paid enough? Why can a supermarket sell lettuce without me needing to tip? Why should I have to tell the waiter beforehand, that wouldn't make him do a good job like he should whether or not I'm tipping?

ill tip if i feel you deserve it by going above the minimum effort of the job.

90+% of the time i dont tip is the result. you earn a tip, its not something your entitled to.

>getting jewed by servers who claim they don't make minimum wage.

I'll tip 10-15% if the service is ok

Nothing if it's anything worse

Fuck waitresses that expect 20- 25% tip

Tip if the service is good.

I tip but I do it begrudgingly... Waiters in other countries don't need tips its a special thing for excellent service. Why is it my fault that some assholejust wants to put up a million fucking Denny's but doesn't want to pay all his employees minimum wage. I think its a fucking scam and they would just make less profit if they raised food prices enough to pay minimum wage to servers

>the company has to pay the difference.
If the company has to pay them anything to make up to minimum wage they are gonna fire them.

sage

Its optional in the UK though. In some places here they add a gratuity to your bill if you have over like 5 people, and you're still expected to tip, because ohh boo hoo I'm a lazy bitch and need to feed my 8 kids even though it took like an hour to get your food.

>live in a sensible country
>deliveryman hands over the pizza i already paid for and leaves immediately
>his boss pays him properly and i dont have to subsidise him

If everyone stopped tipping, how long would it take for companies to start paying them a competitive wage? I'm guessing companies would let the entire industry fail before actually paying their employees.

Honestly this is fine. I tend to tip fairly well but I don't judge anyone for leaving a 10% tip. I also tip male servers better than female servers.

>mfw poorfag that only ate at fast food restaurants and never had anyone to tip

Sounds like a dream...

I pay the pizzaman because he has to climb on the 4th floor

Everyone don't forget to tip your OP for this wonderful post. What is your paypal

Poor people shouldn't eat fast food. It makes you lazy. Eat food that will give you the energy to better yourself

Tipping is for the birds. The Japanese actually frown upon tipping. Their customer service is way much better than Americans. Must admit a lot of Americans are fucking spoiled that want shit handed to them on a silver platter. Most Americans would complain if they were served a steak rather than a hot dog. I'm American myself. Fuck tipping.

The other nice thing about living in a country where tiping isn't customary is that when you do decide to tip the waiter/deliveryman is genuinely thankful.

I tipped my last deliveryman as he delivered my pizza in the pouring rain on a thursday evening and he was legitimately happy to be rewarded for working such a miserable evening.

i'm happy to tip someone 20%, 25%, ive even done 30%, but if thats service is top notch. If service is utter shit, i wont tip.

I tend to tip delivery people but usually just a quid. Nothing if they're late or fail to follow any delivery instructions. The chap from my local curry place gets two quid because I eat there a lot. I tipped an IKEA delivery bloke a fiver the other day because he had to move over a grand of stuff.

Seriously what the fuck is up with Clapistan and tips?

Yea, after that paycheck where the person gets paid the difference.

>you don't over pay we spit in your food
>don't even bother
what an absolute madman whoever defends this bullshit.

And hire new people that eventually will be in the same conditions, you retarded mongoloid

then they can petition the department of labor for wrongful termination, it's still their own fault for voluntarily working such an atrocious job

I tipped a waiter the other night
then I shoved the whole thing in
shit was so cash

>eating at the tasty food jew

that sounds awesome

fuggin greedy mart sharters

>Be American
>Have to tip the fucking nurse at the hospital

I dont do it anyways because I live in a country where servers can actually live from their paychecks. But I love working as a tourist guide for Murican tourists. Allthough dumb as shit most of the time, they are quite generous. I just say at the end of every tour that "Murica chose to not bomb X church out of respect" and that "we got liberated by the US". I get tipped for 30% almost everytime.

>not tipping
Canada pls

Its getting ridiculous. My barista at Starbucks tried to force me to tip her because I asked for coconut milk instead of regular in my latte

I'm a student = don't always have time to cook "food that give you the energy to better yourself"

>at restaurant
>waitress complaining that some people left them a note complimenting the service, but no tip
>I comment that they should be happy someone thought they were a perfect servant
>they tell me they are a server, not a servant
>What the hell is the difference, yo?
>she says that servants have to do everything they are told
>I ask her to bring me ketchup

Would have been less of a kerfuffle if I just called her a bitch to be honest

>creating a new thread because everyone called you an autist in your last one.

>paying someone to not spit in your pizza

In the US at least, most waitstaff make minimum wage with tips being a big part of their actual income. Which is sort of like giving money to working class people as a charity except the Feds tax it because our govt is run by kikes and niggers

>Be surrenderian
>Have to shove brown hairy cocks up the ass

>40%
wow you insensitive fuck, you think I can survive on just 40%? thanks for tipping less than 65% I'm literally going to starve

>rewarding 30 minutes of labour with $400
yeah woo what a good investment

>gratuity guide
>18-22%

fucking hell, i rarely tip over 10% here unless theyre exceptional, and people are still grateful.

stop

Then toss a salad. It doesn't take time either. Every night it takes me under 30 minuets to cook for me and my gf

youtube.com/watch?v=vBTfj2lN6sQ

I'm surprised the Gypsies don't just curse you when you don't tip

This waiters expecting a tip makes me not want to tip at all. I'm actually beginning to feel guilty when I tip over 1-2$ now

Honestly, I tip Dominos 2$ because he actually had to drive somewhere, which is 10,000 times more than a waiter has ever done in his entire career combined.

I, really really think I'm going to start tipping only 1$ at restaurants. But this is how I'll do it - say the total is 55$ , I'll scribble $1.000 as the tip so it looks like I tipped 10$ then in the total there will only be 56$ . So I can make a clean getaway out of the restaurant without any risk of him throwing a little babby fit crying /screaming

In most cases cooking includes going to a grocery store.

Its like 66% boi

Except that I know full well that waiters are entitled pieces of shit who will spit in my food if I tell them I'm not going to pay their ransom.

>gratuity guide

i need to throw up real quick

If anyone I would tip the kitchen staff sweating their fucking nuts off out the back, in some places that requires actual skill far beyond carrying a fucking tray around.

I guess but the local (non Walmart I don't want to start myself) is only like 3 minuets away for me. Closer than a McIndigestion

No they cant faggot, your boss can fire you for you saying to them, hey can you not call the security guard a nigger.
Its called employment at will doctrine. Your boss can fire you for anything.

>Burgerking servers paid shitty, don't get tips
>Fancy restaurant server paid a lot, get tips

I don;t tip, cause I don;t eat AT restaurants, I only carry out. Eating at restaurants requires friends.

>Not tipping the bag holding your food
Monster

I don't use a bag.

>getting divorced
>judge, lawyers, lawyer assistants, secretaries all give me their bill
>give them a tip
>wife tells them I never tip at restaurants
>she tips the court more than me
>lose my kids and 90% of my net worth
>i should have tipped my wife's bf to prevent this from happening
>eh but I have credit cards
>go buy a car on a loan
>tip the bank and tip the dealership
>go out to eat
>card is declined and I can't tip
>waiter calls the police
>police show me their bill and demand their tip
The only tip I'm going to see now are Jamal's 9 inches of gratuity in prison

He asked for a tip? What?

Isnt that extremely rude? What did you do?

>expecting extra money for doing your job

I do tip at restaurants, especially if the waiter/waitress has done an outstanding job but nobody should expect it. I work in IT, I don't get tips when I configure a server.

not part of our culture.
not my job to pay someones salary, fucking jews.

> being a student is so demanding that I don't have time to cook

Might as well just kill yourself now.

In your case maybe. But I study at NSU, which is located in Novosibirsk's sciencefaggy suburb 1.5 hours from the center, in a literal forest. The closest supermarket here is 15-20 mins of walking from my dorm.

>tipping 300 USD of eternal jew dollars
>not grateful for paying your month worths of electricity, entertainment, food, gas, car payment
or other miscellanious items for literally 15 minutes of carrying 2 trays of food at Chile's

what's outstanding? take you in the back and suck your dick?

Not just a student, I'm a freshman. The hardest time for students is the first year.

>2016
>eating out
>not preparing cheaper, healthier, and tastier food at home in the time you'd sit there waiting for someone to come take your order

ISHYGDDT

>If you can't afford to tip... you can't afford to go out and eat
Precisely the reason I don't go to nice places to eat. Give my regards to your boss when he lays you off because he's going out of business.

what happens if you dont tip?

If you can't afford to pay your workers a proper salary you shouldn't be opening a business or offering delivery services.

Absolutely nothing. You're already out of the door by the time the waiter comes to collect the bill. Worst that can happen is they post it on Instagram with some snide comment

We do tip the garbage man, actually.
At Christmas you slip the crew an envelope with some cash based on how much weird heavy bullshit you made them cart that year.

No, that's expected.

>canadian
>wishes he was an american

UPSfag here. I only get Xmas tips from consistent customers. Otherwise I'm lucky if I get a thanks. Praise Kek

>mfw paying debit at the FOOD COURT and a prompt for how much I'd like to tip pops up

I tip the cooks or servers directly. If my food is good, I ask to speak to the chef and give him a tip directly. Same goes with bartenders or servers.

There is a point where I stop tho. If I'm spending a few hundred on a big family night out or birthday ill cap a tip at $20 max. Fuck tipping 15% of a $300 resturant bill

The Tipping Police will come and knock on your door, demanding ransom for the food now in your gut.

I think I tip when I'm drunk.

They would.

This entire tipping is fucking retarded.
When i was last time in US i decided to eat real american burger. I went to some restaurant, dont remember with one. 25 bucks for burger and fries? 8 bucks for beer? Alot, but fuck it, i travelled half globe, i can spend some dimes.
Burger was tasty, ill give that, but fun started when i asked for check.
I did not mentioned that i want to tip waitress, because why should i actually? She literally just taked my order and bringed me my food. Something did not add on receipt.
>10% tip included
Well, fuck it, cultural diffrences or someshit.
But when i was leaving, i overheard waitress bitching about me to her friend that im cheap fucker and she should spit in my food.

WHAT THE FUCK

So i schould tip twice? Should i go to kitchen and tip every fucking mex in there? Fuck, let tip lady who clean the floors. Fuck tip this fucking hobo outside.
You are not paid enough? Change you fucking job dumb bitch.
And don't get me wrong, i do give tips when i think they deserve it. But just doing your fucking job does not count.

My girlfriend is a chef at a high end French restaurant, and what people do is they'll tip the chef's by either buying wine or a 6 pack of beer. They actually prefer it, because they all get drunk once they close

If you plan on returning, tip. If not, don't.

Okay. Name one reason why I should pay more money for my food than the price which is indicated not only on the menu, but also on the bill.

And no, "YOU'RE A JERK IF YOU DON'T" is not a reason. I work for my money. So do the servers. If they want to earn more money, then they should look for a different job or ask for a raise. If the entire restaurant feels this way, then they could just raise the price of their food and use the extra money to pay the waiters.

That's way overpriced. Hell, here in the Midwest, I've never seen a beer for more than $7 and that was at sport stadiums where they charge up the ass because they have a captive audience.

A good burger should be $8-15. Any less and it's probably not good. Anymore and you're getting ripped off. For that price, just buy a steak.

>he gets robbed
>I really don't feel like this is worth it boss

Food is cheaper here because the tip isn't included in the bill. You can choose not to tip, and that's the great thing about the system. If you get a shitty server, they dont deserve to get paid. But in your country, if you get a shitty server, you're fucked.

Cheap bastard.

In your country, the tip is also included in the bill. Servers get paid a monthly salary, do they not? The monthly salary being low is none of the customer's concern.

They'll make a Facebook comment about putting ground glass in your food as punishment and then get fired. The waiter who made the image is the real coward.

They get paid regular wages, so yes, it is extremely rude and selfish of her.

No, servers are greedy bastards. Why do you think they tip shame rather than employer shame about how much money they make?
Because they make more money from tips. I know people who make $200-300 a night for a 6 hour shift, yet still complain when people leave shitty tips because their boss only pays them $2/hour.

They know where the real money is. If we got rid of tipping and required employers to pay it all, food would be a little more expensive but servers would make a fraction of the money they make now

I'd tip above 15% for that.

They get paid $2/hour.
The rest is covered by the tip (if its not, the employer is required to pay the difference, so nobody takes home less than minimum wage)
But the cost of the labor is subtracted from the bill. The only times it's included in the bill are on tables of 8 or more.
