this show is better than rick and morty
This show is better than rick and morty
duh
its maybe the best animated comedy show ever made.
?
it is actually, i've rewatched it so many times. so comfy
Remember the episode Bender becomes a tranny in order to compete in the Olympics? Would have gotten the show thrown off the air if it were made now.
Futurama is like Friends. Rick and Morty is like Seinfeld.
jesus fucking christ
definitely
john cleese was right
>Rick and Morty is like Seinfeld
Lol nah
>make a million unfunny and emotional episodes to destroy your reputation completely
Yeah, no
Nothing was made after The Devils Hands episode.
I'm referring to the "movies" that they sometimes part out into multi-part episodes as well
>implying jurassic bark isn't a 10/10 episode
Nothing was made. After. The Devils Hands episode.
Jesus Christ. I don't care if you don't wanna talk about it, but I've never noticed that literally every bad episode came that one.
What the hell happened? How were there so many bad episodes?
The same thing that happened to the simpsons. The show ran for so long/was revived at such a distant time in the future that fans who grew up watching it became writers on that very show. That's always a recipe for turning the formerly 3 dimensional characters into catchphrased caricatures thrown into wacky or 'topical' episode plots because all the actual storytelling was already settled.
is it the 'tism?
i agree with u desusenpai
but the movie 2 was decent i guess.
boring. dropped it somewhere in the middle
There's only ONE show better than Rick & Morty and it's Xavier Renegade Angel.
What season should I watch?
Not 1st tho.
I think Futurama (almost?) never reached the heights of golden era Simpsons, but definitely never came even close to zombie simpsons leves. It's somewhere in between beeing consistently good imo.
the very last futurama episode was pretty good though
That episode where the bureaucrat Hermes get tricked into going to prison ends up putting all the work on one Australian guy already there for who knows how long?
I HAVE NO OPINIONS ONE WAY OR THE OTHER
>Mr. Mayor, if you wanna see the real vampire, look in the mirror!
>I can't! I'm a vampire!
God this show was fucking gold, only plebs disagree
the movie season
all before they started doing the movies
I think I got whiplash
>not liking both
>What's your name, son?
>Most people call me orange Joe. But my friends call me fry.
>From now on this day will be known as Fryday!
>Care to say a few words?
>Uh... Heroes don't do drugs! Except Drugman, I guess.
reboot futurama was so bad it retroactively ruined the original series
how could there be? that was the series finale. ahh what glorious 72 episodes those were
>What's the mission?
>Collecting honey. Ordinary honey.
>That doesn't sound so dangerous.
>This is no ordinary honey!
Rick and Morty is like cancer
Futurama is my all-time favorite show, I've probably seen the first 4 seasons more times than I'd care to count.
Everybody's talking at me
I don't hear a word they're saying
Only the echoes of my mind
No shit
;__;
She's built like a steakhouse, but she handles like a bistro
>I love you Philip
>and I always will
Philip Fry
The Original Chuck
-.-
Here lies Philip Sneed Fry
Named for his Feed
To carry on his Seed.
>You can't just sit here in the dark listening to classical music
>I could if you hadn't turned on the lights and shut off the stereo
as a guy who had a brother who constantly faught him as a kid but grew into best friends, this episode hits so fucking hard
You can't have whiplash, you don't have a neck
That's not Venture Brothers.
Ass whiplash!
This show missed a lot more than it hit, in my opinion.
Got tired of the constant attempts to recreate Luck of the Fryrish and smashing Fry and Leela together because they're the main characters and therefore have to be endgame.
Why not, both are overrated.
>implying Reddit Brothers is better than anything
ROBOT HOUSE
game of tones hit pretty hard though
Most of that shit happened in the non-canon Comedy Central seasons that nobody likes.
>Reddit Brothers
>liking Futurama
Kindly fuck back off to facebook or wherever it is you retard are coming from
...
I come from Sup Forums, buddy boy.
Maybe you're the one who doesn't belong.
>fine dine is better than taco bell
No shit, kid. But that doesn't mean I hate taco bell. I can't compare them.
>coming from Sup Forums and calling Venture Bros reddit
Then you're a person with shit taste and probably a dumb child
rick is literally supposed to be doc from back to the future
fucking fb humor.
You all overestimate how sensitive television is or has been. Twitter isn't real life.
Quit being so triggered.
Maybe tumblr or reddit will treat you better and accept your shitty opinions instead.
>I come from Sup Forums, buddy boy.
I cringed hard. Kill yourself
Game of Tones was easily the worst example of what I'm talking about. Fry gets to spend time with his entire family again but the only person he has any attachment to is his mother. Not because of their pre-existing relationship, but because Yancy and Fry's dad already had their feels episodes. We learn nothing about her character in this episode. They actually had to downplay her fanaticism with sports to make her sympathetic, and that's her only character trait.
Not to mention the sheer stupidity of using space magic to pull a Days of Future Past to Fry's mother mentally to tie up any loose ends with the family so we don't have to worry about it come the series finally.
Lol.
Got anymore meme buzzwords that will make you look like you fit in?
Is this where contrarianism has brought us? Sup Forums turning on Futurama?
Just stating the fact that The late Philip J Fry is better than most of the old and new episodes famalan
>fit in
Only some new redditor would instigate such accusations.
You have to go back.
Are you literally twelve? God damn
prime futurama is to R&M as prime simpsons is to family guy
>fucking fb humor.
That's the joke, kiddo.
>Being that reddit and proud
Pathetic
I rest my case. You're a pathetic newfag and your taste is shit.
>inb4 more buzzwords and meme insults
Aussies deserve it.
Nobody actually cares about Reddit, newfriend.
facts
fair enough, but its mainly the premise of fry visiting his mum in her dreams that hit pretty hard for me
The two aren't even comparable.
Family Guy gas always been trash
>memba' when heeheeheehee Meg a dum! Stewie gay! Quagmire like to sex! SHOWTUNES BA DABA DA DA!
of course no one here would disagree
Why is the kid still named after him though? The time travel clone means Fry never left
>literally autists itt who are disagreeing
>Family Guy gas always been trash
that's my point. bootleg copies.
T.redditor
Don't forget Lars causes the whole premise to stop making sense
...
You've never seen Demolition Man?
>most famous person on earth
>epitaph is barely about him
>it's instead about relative he never knew
Don't remember this at all but that's really funny.
I will always love this one:
Fry: Why did you eat a calculator?
Hermes: To gain its power.
Paraphrased but I cried from laughing.
Fry "died" in the explosion caused by Bender in the pasta...it still could Make sense
Nah, don't be a faggot like that. Retroactively destroying stuff is almost impossible, unless you force yourself to do such mental gymnastics.
The Devils Hand was originally the last episode after it got canceled. Episodes after that are revival episodes
Of course, you are very observant. Woah, how will I ever recover?
But the kid was already born and told bender about Uncle Fry
Good but it was obviously trying to hit your feels again. It's a bit tiresome to be melodramatic all the time.
Only the ending.
Good one. That's actually a great movie. Nonsensical, but great.
You can like both. And I do.
Even though Venture Brothers hasn't made a new episode since 1975.
>he actually doesn't get it.
You shitpost but you shitpost correctly.
Never seen a show flanderize before even existing.
This.
The original feels episodes were always backed by everything we already knew about the characters, like how Leela never knew her parents, or Fry missing his home/always wanting to be an astronaut.
That's why the payoff would always hit home so well.
I just finished bojack. I am kinda depressed now too. Really good show. That episode where they are under water was just wonderful. What do you guys think about bojack?
