They behaved heroically, defeating the first Austrian offensive and then managing to avoid encriclement by trekking hundreds of kilometers through hostile territory in winter to join the allied forced on the Thessaloniki front. Serbia was occupied but the Serbian army was never defeated.

The Yugoslavian deal was done with Croatian politicians that wanted independence from Austria actually, there was a debate for greater Serbia or Yugoslavia to come out post war, Yugoslavia also had these internal divisions, where Croatians got their lands under a united division while Serbs didn't. I don't know why people think it was some cultural genocide

Everyone got btfo, we actually kept our Union in part thanks to the west because they supplied and supported Yugoslavian ressistance, and in 1948 we were the first communist nation to tell Stalin to fuck off. Yugoslavia wasn't even part of the Warsaw pact

We are less primitive, at least in theory. I mean, Slovenes are privately great serbophiles and Slovenian culture is indelibly stamped with Serbian culture and will probably always be. Every Slovene dreams of going around in a wifebeater shirt or tracksuit and with a great big chain at his neck and spewing obscenities at everyone around, and some live this dream. A Slovene also in theory won't jump on anyone that insults his mother. This is only in theory, because we are just as much Serbs as we are Slovenes nowadays due to recent history and immigration.
