I can't speak for Finland. I don't know enough about that countries history, ancient or modern. But the US, Canada, and Australia are all relatively new countries. They do indeed have culture of their own. That culture simply isn't ancient. Sorry we missed the Renaissance. However, the US was conceived in the ideas of the Enlightenment. There's indeed culture. It's all new however.

Tbh, it felt really comfortable being in Europe for the first time. You could feel the heritage, the connection, and the culture all around you. But then I came home and had to realize that none of it belonged to me.

Yes, it is incredibly depressing. I have heavy German and Hungarian ancestry but haven't ever had the chance to visit.
