wtf it looks like the eu parliament

it's built under a superlaser though

everything in the brd-gmbh made to look as inoffensive and boring as possible to prevent stirring any feelings of pride

>Keeping the eagle from the nazi era
Wew.

At least they can probably fit all their politicians in at the same time with enough elbow room.

Attached: uk parliament-lower house of commons.jpg (1600x1064, 751K)

I wish my parliament was this small too, instead I have to feed thousands of parasites

>Having thehe EU flag in your national parlament

Disgusting

rate the senate

Attached: senate chamber.jpg (2500x1875, 1.44M)

Though could get rid of the lords and use their chamber.

Attached: House-of-Lords-upper house.jpg (2197x1463, 837K)

the house of commons is probably the worst parliament in any developed country, your MEP's act like children throwing a hissy fit and this picture explains a lot

and the House of Representatives on the other side of the building

Attached: house chamber.jpg (4050x2700, 1.36M)

how 50 people can represent 300 million in your highest govt body is beyond me. Here in the UK 650 people represent about 70 million.

sports-stadion/10

westminster-style parliaments are objectively the most comfy
the confrontational atmosphere is part of what makes it comfy
non-anglos (incl. yanks) wouldn't understand

Attached: MAC44_PUBLIC_POLICY_FORUM_POST.jpg (822x462, 353K)

8/10 pretty good

>not enjoying political banter

German architecture has to go back those glory days.

Yes things can get very heated but all in a civilised manner.

youtube.com/watch?v=qvIUa47x_Oc

the senate is composed of 100 people, not 50, and the house is totaled at 435 members, there are also subsequent houses and senates in each state

Attached: PA congress.jpg (2048x1343, 1.29M)

nice but why are americans obsessed with moquette on the floor?

also rate this

Attached: parlamento.png (478x316, 396K)

All the parliaments, senates and so on are full of bastards, parasitea and criminals whose only purpose is to steal as much money from us ordinary people and and to make plans about how else could they use and exploit us.
For us average people the enemy is not on the other side of the world, the enemy is not some "average Joe" from a different country. Our enemies are occupying our capitals and calling themselves "government". Every single politician is a criminal who deserves a tight rope around his neck.

>italian parliament is shaped like a pizza

quebec has a pretty aesthetic provincial legislature
probably the best one in canada

Attached: members-of-the-national-assembly-sit-during-question-period.jpg (1000x750, 184K)

more like how 2 people can represent a state that has 600k people and another 2 people represent a state that has 40 million people with both having equal voting rights

imagine the smell

bc's is pretty good

Attached: 15721026.jpg (822x563, 310K)

that is in place for the purpose of equality, as in the house the number of representatives is directly proportional to population

the position of those desks and chairs makes the floor look uneven

but where left and right parties sit in those parliaments?

Attached: assembleia da republica.jpg (800x600, 105K)

except that is completely untrue, some hillbilly farmer has 3 times as many "votes" as a chicANO in california

not to even mention how FPTP makes your vote matter absolutely nothing if you vote for the losing candidate

Attached: CUeAHfa.png (567x872, 53K)

why is that eagle so thicc

Can you make up your mind on what you're trying to argue?

Haha, can't yanks fucking count or what?

government to the right of the speaker, opposition to the left
except in newfoundland where it's the opposite because in their original house of assembly the heater was on the left side of the chamber
arranging parties by ideology is for runts

I hate this fucking eagle, it's so ugly. But fortunately they seem to use the old hexagonal one more often again in documents and other things.

West German and East German administrative buildings are equally horrible. The upside of East German ones is that most of them were torn down after the country's failure.

Our federal administrative court is glorious though, same building that housed the imperial court of justice in the Kaiserreich and the Third Reich.

Attached: Bundesverwaltungsgericht-ehemaliges-Reichsgerichtsgebäude-Leipzig-Juni-2016.jpg (2116x1440, 710K)

they should take something like pic related, the entire Bundestagsgebäude is just plain ugly

In you're saying the senate is stupid because all states have an equal number of senators. The whole point of our bicameral legislature is that it was a compromise between the large states, who wanted representation based on population, and the small states, who wanted equal representation because why would they join a union where they have no voice.
In you're arguing about the fact that the House of Representatives is not performing its job of representation based on population which is a pretty common complaint but conservashits don't want to change it.

It's supposed to look modern, plain and neutral in order to avoid any connotations with previous eras.

Some facts:

The seats are removable so after each election they change the seats to reflect the party factions. You can see the aisles delineating the different parties.

The height of the podium is adjustable, even for disabled people wheel chairs, anything in general is accessible for disabled people (our former finance minister took a bullet to the knee and spine)

The wooden flag pole with the German flag is from the former parliament in Bonn.

Above the parliament chamber there is a glass roof and above that there is a mirror ensemble within the class dome that illuminates the chamber with day light. Some symbolism about government transparency going on there.

When you erase tradition and history the result is generic garbage without identity

Looks comfy

I actually like it and the modern german style in general.
It has a nice sterile and clean feeling to it.
Most other parliaments (except the eu one) try to invoke history and tradition.
The german parliament makes me think about the future.

I have to agree it looks nice

>literal soup bowl for some reason on top of the building
>tasteful

Beautiful building imo, these modernist buildings are very calming and nice inside generally.

when did everything go so wrong germany?

Attached: germany.gif (550x372, 871K)

Was this the one done by Le Corbusier?

Oscar Niemeyer
His works are hit or miss. Some are absolutely fantastic, while others just look like vertical slums.

Thanks, a lot like Corbusier though

Attached: capitol-complex.jpg (550x413, 28K)

why did it get fat? what's the point of an eagle that's too fat to fly? is this allegory for modern germany being useless?

Attached: prussia absolutely disgusting.jpg (240x217, 22K)

It has been the same since the HRE, the nazis used it too.

Wasn't the new reichtag designed by foster

Nazi Vampire, they got purged though by their clan-brethren.

That looks cool, although FUCK nazis

He was a very strong influence on Niemeyer. They actually designed the UN Headquarters together.

can't the legislators see up womens' skirts in that building?

it's called fat hen, it's supposed to look like a fat flightless bird who can't threaten anyone, just like modern germany

Why even bother having a congress, isnt Xinpeng dictator for life now?

I recommend anyone visiting america to check the capitol. The tours are free and the they filled the old senate chamber and the dome with beautiful art and statues. Just come in weekdays so you can also see the actual new senate and house of representatives , you'll also see senators doing their stuff

Attached: DSC00491.jpg (1600x1199, 363K)

it's not it's ugly, this is the original one. Also it derived from pic related. The eagle never has been fat.

Very interesting thank you for this

Nah I've watched some of your parliamentary proceedings, it was top comfy.

I went to DC a few years ago. Blew my fucking mind. If there is something Americans can do right, it’s monuments and memorials.

To think, we could have had a turkey as our national symbol.

Attached: wild turk.jpg (2400x1506, 501K)

its not supposed to be a representative democracy, its a federation of states meaning states have a larger say than their individual populations
not that hard to understand
