low taxes doesn't mean complete tax evasion dum-dum, most companies set up their corporate EU headquarters in Ireland because there are low taxes and almost no red tape while still being relatively stable and safe, getting a small tax is a lot better than getting none, you also get the added benefit of the much higher personal income tax from all of the companies workers, stop getting so flustered.

Companies pay the standard eu tax and have other reasons of settling in Ireland other than low taxes. But the point still stands, how can a government develop a real country with a low tax income and bring it to such high standard? Are you as braindead as to think that if you lower corporate tax(which is not what we're doing right btw) all of Chile's economical problems will go away and you will magically become a 1st world country?
