Iowa guy here. Best bet is a college town, but Iowa city is a bunch of wannabe progressive shitheads. Ames is alright, but much smaller than IC.
Des Moines is pretty decent, plenty to do, still small compared to other cities.
Really sad coming back after traveling abroad, so many fine women and very few of them live in Iowa.
