We say England instead of United Kingdom, Chinese instead of East Asian and America instead of United States.

Don't be butthurt, my Frisian farmer friend. It's the same as referring to the UK as England. It's the same thing, because we're referring to the only thing that matters. If foreigners come to the Netherlands for any reason, there's a 99.9% chance they'll find it in Holland rather than out of it. Same for England and the UK.
