THIRTEEN

BILLION

EUROSHEKELS

The European banking system thanks the burgers for paying off 0,0001% of the debt.

fuck ireland, all EU countries should have similar taxes for companies and not be allowed to go beyond certain minimum (15% imo)

Does that mean Apple owes 13 billion?

Nice, just saw a headline, but no article

that said tho

You realize this is a means to fuck britian before they brexit?

How?

Apple in Ireland RIP :^) Irish govt. totally BTFO, way, way over what they were hoping for.

Literally how?

Haha lel fucking Jews hating on our tax laws

>Canadian education

Sorry, what?

>EU explicitly stating that EU laws supersede Irish laws

lol

Wtf I love the EU now

Ireland BTFO more like. Seems their 'economic miracle' was illegal.

Fucking island heebs at it again.

EU, TPP, TTIP, TISA, NAFTA, NAU are not really trade treaties but twenty-first century colonialism.

You're tax laws are at the expense of everyone else in Europe mick.

So will all megacorps BTFO from Ireland now that their tax dodging is confirmed illegal in the EU?

What you get for voting remain, Ireland.

>Ireland has favorable tax laws
>companies incorporate there for benefits
>EU says Ireland's laws are un-European and therefore null and void
The EU is a shit sandwich. Does Brussels not see how they're destroying their Union?

Of course they don't, that is why they import more people from the ME and Africa.

EU needs that money to fund all their new migrants' welfare.

>Brexit wins
>we announce that corp tax will be cut to 15% and possibly even lower
>EU cracks down on low corp tax in EU member states

It's like they want corporations to leave the EU

This investigation has been going on for long before Brexit though. The result of Brexit might have influenced the verdict today, but the investigation has been long running though so it also seems like the verdict could just be down to the findings.

If TTiP passes (or whatever its called) Apple gonna BTFO Brussels with trade law that supersedes EU law.

TTIP is looking fucked lad.

>France demands an end to TTIP talks

theguardian.com/business/2016/aug/30/france-demands-end-to-ttip-trade-talks-matthias-fekl

Feels weird when something actually goes our way.

probably. depends what EU wants from USA. if they were to go after other corporations HQ'ing in Ireland like ebay, paypal, bigpharma, then Irelands economy is done. the uncertainty over inward investment is already highly damaging. if EU just wants leverage in TTIP negotiations (or something) they may turn a blind eye.

could be significant as a turning point for the Irish establishments view of the EU though.

A lot of decisions suddenly being made against Apple

I wonder if it has something to do with them deciding to stand up for security and privacy on their phones while telling the FBI/NSA/CIA to go fuck themselves?

Because I'm betting that's exactly what it is.

Well you shouldn't have based your economy on micking other Euros m8.

Funny how it's obvious you have never started a company

You realise that this will literally help Britain? A large amount of the companies now registered in Ireland because of lower taxes are British companies, if Ireland start demanding a lot of tax they well re-register as British lol.

>Canadian education

could it be anymore obvious you don't have a fucking clue whats going on?

or maybe that they have a quarter of a trillion dollars sitting in an offshore bank account and don't pay taxes

The jews have declared war on the Emerald Empire?

this
We are talking about jewery on a national scale mate.
Bulgaria has a 10 % flat tax for workers/companies aswel. This jewishness needs to end

You realise this is the EU not America right? America is against this because they want the money that should be paid in European taxes to go straight to America instead

Obongo has publicly opposed this

So Bulgarians are the jews of the east?

yep, the big tax revenues come from VAT and social and healthcare taxes which are only imposed on workers and consumers obviously.
If you take 1000 euros a month you pay social+healthcare for about 22-23 % and then 10 % flat after this leaving you at about 700 euros while corporations just pay the 10 %.
On the flip side our judicial system is crap and nobody wants to invest knowing they can not rely on it to enforce deals etc.
>GAS US

twitter.com/BBCWorld/status/770574472399220736 holy shit

>Feels weird when something actually goes our way.
Wierd? God Emperor, Tay AI, Carl the Cuck/Aids Skrillex, syrian bombing guidance, Yeb, Robio, Cruz' rat sex, Cant Barage the Farage, Brexit, reBrexit petition scam dox, FBIanon and CFG, Assange and (((tribalist symbol))), Pepeeee.

For how much money they have, they're probably not paying as much in taxes as they should or what people think.

Reminder that the "Hibernian conspiracy" meme is from /leftypol/ on you-know-which chan.

and when you leave the EU you can set whatever tax rates on corporations you want and undercut the rest of Europe to your hearts' content

I think it was here before left/pol/ was even a thing. They just like it.

apple are jews who sit on the $200+ billion of money they sit on and probably haven't even paid any tax on most of it

They are already doing it, lel. We have a race to the bottom corporate tax-wise.

True. How can this be fixed? Should it?

It should, since the lost tax revenues are burdened either on incomes, or on fiscal debt.

An EU-wide corporate tax. I doubt the Irish would like it.

If this happened it would be one of the things worth keeping from the EU. But what about outside Europe?

The state aid rules were in the treaty of rome (1958), this isn't something new

They knew about it when they joined and when they started aggressively cutting tax

EU law is supreme in EU member states, Ireland knows this

If Ireland doesn't want EU law to be supreme then the answer is simple - leave the EU

>the answer is simple - leave the EU
>simple

In return for Lisbon 2, Ireland was given a guarantee by the EU not to interfere in Irish tax affairs. Irish voters trusted it.

But if we left who would supply the EU with potatoes?

I wish our government would pursue tax evading corporations like Apple..

Mother fuckers made billions and only paid tax on 150 mill.

parents over 40?

If we all leave it will be simple :^)

We need to borrow your Miguel de Farage

Well fuck my stocks

That's a hot potato.

>ships under Nigeria flag
>Apple under Nigeria flag

Not possible, international companies need to have their headquarters inside the EU. Negroes like Google or Apple routinely choose Ireland, as it has the lowest corporate tax rate*, lax banking regulations and carious licensing loopholes.

*after Bulgaria, afaik. But who wants to reside in Bulgaria voluntarily?

They picked Ireland because it's closer to the US and it's cheaper to move stuff there.

That also, but the emergence of China demonstrates that geographical lengths are now less of an issue. Especially if you're selling weightless goods, like Google does.

A unified EU tax code is inevitable. It'll be coming in the next treaty.

Fucking EU trying to tell us how to run our country. Apple dindu nuffin

IREXIT

more like EU taxpayers BTFO when they go to buy their next gadget
