How much would you pay for a kojima mgs movie

how much would you pay for a kojima mgs movie

Big Boss and Ocelot have to be canon gay though.

as usual, standard ticket price

0, would pirate a 720p rip 3 years later and watch on second screen while making porn webms and browsing Sup Forums

Like 18.50

That's how much an IMAX screen costs around me I think.

None, if I wanna watch autistic characters talk non stop I'd play the game.

This guy knows

it'd be shit. would rather them wait 10 years for whatever's making movies be so bland to pass

...

I'm pretty sure I payed $60 for MGS4

I'd pay for them to not make it.

Lol I bought it for under a dollar at Gamestop.

I'd be so hyped to see this actually. If it is just based on MGS 3

They already made like five. As they sure as fuck weren't video games.

thats debatealbe

Only because I made it easy on you and included the first and second metal gear solid

Depends on which game it's based on. MGS1 is already a bunch of movies mixed together with the Speed soundtrack so it could work but might be kind of cliche. MGS2 would end up like an X Men movie or something. MGS3 would be great but you'd have to get a great writer and director to pull it off. MGS4 is already a movie. MGSV wouldn't make sense as a standalone movie.

I remember MGS 2 having a lot more cutscene to actual gameplay ratio. MGS 3 was a lot of cutscenes too. So I guess they are both games and movies. Not a hybrid, but just alternates.

*alternating

The problem with 3 is how the gameplay was just, basically, a chore to "earn" the next cutscene.

Do you really believe that MGSV was a movie? My man, one of the criticisms of this game was the LACK of cutscenes

I dropped that game so hard after doing mindless missions with no sense of story or plot.

I can easily weasel out of just about any counter-argument because I said "like" and "they weren't video games."

Peace Walker has the most potential to be a great movie IMO. Comfy 70s setting, great story and characters and it has the least exposure of all the games. Also not really any movies that have done a similar story.

Significantly less than no money.

Sounds like you'll have to amend your statement then :^)

Way more interesting if you played MGS 3 first tho

Depends

If he actually helps write the script, directing and casting then I would pay good money to see it.

But if he has no part in it then you can just expect me to torrent that shit. I wouldn't even buy it if it was in a blu ray bargain bin.

It was already heavily qualified.

I stand by my assertion that the MGS series barely qualifies as video game, and tips to "movie" in 3 cases.

>They already made like five

>tips to "movie" in 3 cases

They could work around it. Make it about a charismatic soldier that wants to start his own nation/military without a border/home for soldiers and write a story around that.

If Kojima was a part of it I'd be ok with a lot of possibilities. If not then its going to be Metal Gear Survive: The Movie

Considering all story in the MGS series happens in cutscenes, you're quibbling, hard.

1 and 5 didnt have as much custcenes as the rest

all my money
kojima would make such terrible decisions... but it's gonna be some unique shit

I paid like fifty bucks for it.

I borrowed it from a friend and he sold his ps4 and forgot he gave it me so I never gave it back

>Also not really any movies that have done a similar story.
Isn't it about making a robot that responds to a nuclear attack because humans are an unreliable deterrent? Because that's literally the premise of WarGames but not as good. The difference being that the computer program from WarGames is replaced by the A.I. of a dead female WW2 special forces soldier in several giant robot bodies.

Why is that guy painting a brick wall on a brick wall? What's the point?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

>this post made by typing "HAHA" and holding ctrl+v

That's only a small part of it. It's more about a guy creating his own private military nation "without borders" as a home for soldiers and his dealings with a Costa Rican rebellion.

I think MGS3 has the most movie potential, but you'd have to cut off a lot of the fat. A lot.
>No more Bee Man
>No more Dracula
>Maybe keep Old Man Sniper and Spaceman Spiff
>Any encounter with these kind of characters would have to be shortened down to brief firefights or something
>No actual 'boss fight' with the Shagohod, but there could be a badass chase scene like in the game
