>Mahershala Ali
>Jeremy Saulnier

Will be GOAT

>the 'S2 is shit' meme

Maybe all the seasons that have an odd number are kino and the ones with even are shit so the viewer expects less and gets more after a shittier season

>some literally whos
wooaah

The Rust, Marty banter is what made season one so great. Hopefully Nick Pizza can write a script that makes sense again

>star trek movie logic

Is this the comfiest bar in television history?

>Saulnier

confirmed masterpiece

>takes place in the Ozarks

eerie dark comfy kino my babys, im sold

But S2 was better than S1

They really need to bring back McConaughey.

>tfw this is your least favorite life

Season 2 was shit. Episode 7 got my hopes up, and then episode 8 destroyed them.

Why would Ray get into a car that he knows is bugged when he could literally do anything else?

Reminder that series 1 is literally pleb-tier lol-so-deep trash
Series 2 is patrician, plebs can't understand it so it makes them mad

it applies to true detective. Season 1 was pure kino and season 2 was an enormous disappointment. Maybe season 3 will be great again. I want to believe

soo dark and comfy mmmm. nothing like sweet alcoholism/depression mixed with smokey bars

Why don't they return back to S1?

>get 2 well-known actors with great chemistry
>get Fuckunigga to be back behind the camera again

It's not that hard.

>Season 1 was pure kino

One day, this meme will rightfully end.

Can you see Texas up there on your high horse?

season 1 was damn near perfect kino. please leave

>le evil racist whites in place with no blacks
>le brave black policeman with blacked white wife

BRAVO SPAGHETTI

Season 2 of True Detective is the greatest pleb filter man has ever conceived.

>cute girl singing depressing songs
>Modelo Especial
>dark
>cute scarred latina waitress
As comfy as it gets desu

Why can't they just bring back fukushima to direct

Post True Detective's best soundtracks

>being this contrarian

ACROSS THE DUSTY MAY SUN

>Missouri
ugh
Mahershala is a good actor though.
I only hope they can keep 1 director for all the episodes so they can keep the tone consistent like in S1, what killed S2 was the loss of focus between many plots.
That said, S2 was still a better cop show than most of the shit airing on tv right now.

what is this grip style called?

Felt like a fucking parody, like the Blue Note from the Naked Gun movies.

youtube.com/watch?v=Lag-QRdK-6M

Not surprising really

The Repressed Homosexual

tacti-cool

the god warrior hold

>the one where you fly and I don't
I really like the song desu

>Still no season set in Texas about Mexican drug Cartels murders ignored by corrupt politicians

as much as I love McConaughey and Rust, his story was done and the ending was perfect, so i'd rather not.

Who gives a shit about mexicans, we all know they're murderous barbarians who will cut off your skull and make a candle out of it.
Cults, secret societies and conspiracies are where it's at.

WHERE

IS

FUCK

U

NIGGA

NO

FUKUSHIMA

NO

WATCH

what did he mean by this

Too realistic for the Hollyjews

>wife raped, gives birth
>don't know if it's his biological son or not, love him anyway
>kill someone, murder gets to him, ruins his life and marriage
>can't connect with ironically named son Chad
>last message to son isn't sent

Ray... had the hardest life. At least the ending sort of had a hopeful tone, but goddamn.

>Season 3 stars a black man

top lel, Sup Forums is going to hate it

I can't fucking wait, I loved seasons 1 and 2 even though season 2 was Reddit pleb bait masquerading as kino

>/ournig/ Mahershala Ali
>Pizza still in large writing
>no /ouguy/ Cary

I can't believe a black guy is what I'm most excited about.

and he never gets to see his child with rachel mcadams

>literally not having seen Blue Ruin, Green Room or any number of projects starring Mahershala Ali

Don't be proud of yourself for being a complete pleb.

>Oscar winner
>Writer/Director of Blue Ruin
kys

I agree with Rust's story ending, but maybe he could play a new character.

>>last message to son isn't sent
That was a bit too much, it felt like the writers and directors were laughing their asses off behind the camera.
Like, we made this whole grimderp finale, might as well go the full mile.

since pizza apparently got pressured into fucking up season 2, I can't imagine season 3 being any good

Did you tuck your little peepee between your legs today?

>literally who

Here's your (You)

I mean he also didn't need to go into the woods and save them the trouble of hiding his body.

Dammit Ray just sit in a public place or something.

Only Maharajah Ali? Who's the other "detective"? Granted S2 has too many main characters (well mostly just gaycop) but you need at least 2 A-listers for shenanigans.

youtube.com/watch?v=VvKjpGP6P5Y

I'm guessing they'll cast a noteworthy antagonist.

Was Woodrugh the most based faggot in TV history?

They probably thought the problem was too man detectives in season 2

>cute scarred latina waitress
oh fuck forgot about that. Ray never even looked at her twice because his life is so fucked up.

>hey nic, remember how in season 1 everyone liked rust
>we should make every character like rust in season 2, everyone has to be tormented
>okay, that sounds like a good show

>the 'S1 is masterpiece' meme
second half was masterpiece of shit

Serious question, what DO you think it is that made the show good, outside of performance and character? The obvious answer to me is that the continuity of one director was a huuuuge factor, but I also think that the dark/occult preoccupation of the criminal was a significant element. Originally Season 2 was supposed to have something to do with occult subway murders or some shit, and I really like that as a thing, seems a shame they moved away from it.

grantland.com/hollywood-prospectus/true-detective-season-2-what-is-the-secret-occult-history-of-the-u-s-transportation-system/

Season 2 is pure shit.

It was an assault of my senses. PURE SHIT. So fucking terrible in every way.

Kevin Hart, most likely.

no

tho he's bi

He did have impregnation sex with Rachel Adams though.

Season 2 is patrician tier, fuck you op

Well, obviously the occult element was very important, even tho it was pretty much wasted in the end. Another element that made the show good, was balance. Rust's nihlism was balanced out by Marty's average-joe opinions. That was lacking in season 2, with every character trying to out-rust each other in their characterization.

nic pizzohacko directing

holy shit it's like... what the fuck is going on.

get a hold of some fucking fukushima guy again and make it kino like season one. the guy had all the right ideas how to create a world.

the mystery was really, really cool. Occult child sacrifices involving government officials and powerful families? that's some wikileaks shit.

Plus with the 10-hour format and 2 leads you get to develop the main characters really, really well. It's like a really long but good movie.

Ben and Casey Affleck will be in season 3.

>Another element that made the show good, was balance. Rust's nihlism was balanced out by Marty's average-joe opinions.

Good point, but replicating that dynamic could've felt like a retread in a bad way.

You don't have to replicate it, just don't exaggerate it to the point of borderline caricature. In season 2 you had a dirty cop who's wife was raped, a sex addict cop who was molested as a kid and an in-the closet cop who used to do fucked up shit in the military. Not every main character has to have a troubled past.

I hope Saulnier will direct most of the episodes, that man is a very good filmmaker.

It's a bit of a mess tbqh m8

>disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing

why

How many will he BLACK in the name of Islam?

AYO HOL UP

>marsupial ali aka house of cards blacked guy

wow i can't fucking wait

kys

kek

if it doesn't have supernatural elements like the first one its bound to fail

don't forget the satanic overtones of the murders

>s2
>my sister is a camwhore episode
>i like big cocks episode
>casper knew this episode

David's Milch is co-writing I don't think there's anything to worry about

only one episode..

is it true that season 1 was originally going to take place in arkansas?

>Season three will tell the story of a macabre crime in the heart of the Ozarks and a mystery that deepens over decades and plays out in three separate time periods.

Sounds a shitload more like S1. I'm all in.

The mystery, a single great director that can set the right tone and direction for every episode is priceless though.
Also I'm still convinced that there was a conspiration behind the shitcanning of S2, because he was threading into dangerous territory where the perpetrators are still alive.

Los Angeles has some of the worst public mobility systems in the world, you can't show that it's because of a lobby that killed any possibility of decent electric lines which were also ecologic vs. the onwheel shit you have now.

Disliking S2 and calling it shit solely because it's different from S1 is just retarded.
S1
>great leads and characters
>great story
>terrible villain
>meh ending
>hard 8/soft 9 out of 10

S2
>good characters
>2 great leads
>great setting
>convoluted but interesting plot
>slow burn but great middle episodes
>superior ending
>hard 7/10
Any other opinion is contrarian.

He's not bi he had to take viagra just to get it up with his gf

>Will it be a masterpiece like Season 1 or will it be shit like Season 2?

if they listen to plebs who believe SEason 2 was shit, Season 3 will be shit

if they disregard the plebs, it might be actually be good.

Spoiler: season 2 was good, and you are pleb or a memer if you say it was bad

>Why would Ray get into a car that he knows is bugged when he could literally do anything else?

I hate retards who use one single character doing some bad mistake like it was legit criticism. It's not. People are people and they don't always make the correct choice.

>convoluted but interesting plot
That shit was nearly impossible to follow, my man.

Fuck you Gay cop was my favorite of the three even though he was a closet faggot that liked benis in his butt.

Only if you didn't pay attention. It was intentionally vague and hard to follow.

Better than
>green eared spaghetti monster
>dude the governor and his brother billy graham are part of this occult but actually this line of the story goes no where
