Which film has the greatest orchestral soundtrack of all time?
I can't decide between Lawrence of Arabia, and The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly.

You just say that because you like the movie. Nothing in film history is as iconic as the imperial march
This is just straight up reddit
I actually liked what Ennio Morricone did for Once Upon a Time in the West a little better
Anyway I think Howard Shore at least deserves a mention for LOTR
Superior David Lean/Maurice Jarre theme coming through:
can't disagree. 1st few notes and everyone knows it is SW
imo the good, bad and ugly is even better. it is like iconic western sounds
this channel is goat btw. westerns have the best scores.

>I watched baby's first Sup Forums rec and now want to let everybody know to get good patrician points
Many movies have great themes. If you go for greatest you need to establish some objective criteria like popularity iconicness etc in which all star wars wins
Get fucked.
The reason Lawrence's music is so incredible is that it evokes the themes within the sound. The colonial British styles are mixed with the Arabian influence to create something iconic.
The music from Lawrence of Arabia has become synonymous with desert scenes.
>Star Wars better than Lawrence of Arabia
John Williams just ripped off Holst for that entire soundtrack
what about that one time gandalf fought the balrog?
