But there's a give and take. Many countries like that are also very poor, with a powerful mafia presence. Think the countries of the Caucasus, Serbia, etc.
Their poverty wouldn't really bother me, but I'm in the legal field (or will be after law school). My degree is in American law. It's what I know. I know absolutely nothing about the legal systems of these more traditional countries, so if I moved to one, I'd be starting my life over at 26.
