>mfuckingfw the EU would be the best thing for Europe if it wasn't run by a bunch of fucking socialists >mfw a right wing United federal Europe would damn near outshine the United States >mfw the right wing in Europe want out of the EU and the left wing are the only ones who like it
Why the fuck can't you stupid fucks just get it together?
But enough ragging
Here's my question: Do you think a EU run by people like the UKIP and the National Front ect. would work?
Why doesn't this happen?
Julian Stewart
Well yeah, that would be called the Forth Reich.
Connor Wood
That shit will never work, there's too many different cultures and languages in Europe
Julian Lopez
The EU is liberal you dumb fuck, they are asking the member states to cut in social spending every other month. Liberals in europe claim to be on the right wing of the spectrum.
Leftists are pretty anti EU, but they don't want to dismantle the EU...they want to change it from within to suit their needs.
Thomas Fisher
The EU is a corporate, neoliberal project, that insures low inflation at the cost of high unemployment. What fucking part about the Maastricht criteria is socialist?

>mfw if someone like Nige was incharge of the EU it would be the largest superpower and BTFO of the Middle East
Aiden Gomez
An EU under rule of FN would be the same as it is now, FN got their balls cut off when the women took over.
EU wouldn't exist if ukip ruled it, they are the only party thathas made active steps to dismantle it
Carson Turner
No, the problem is much, much deeper than that. It would have to be fundamentally restructured. Right now it is purposely structured in such a way that you as a citizen have no idea who is in power and who you can hold accountable. For instance, ask yourself:
>how many presidents does the EU have and what are their names >what is the difference between the European commission, the commission of Europe and the commission of the European union? >what procedure is in place to remove a member of the European commission from his position, should that be desired? >how does a bill become a law in the European union? (protip: it has nothing to do with parliament or any of the presidents)
If you answered "how the fuck should I know" to most of the above, congrats. The EU is working as intended. Not a single other """democratic""" institution in the entire fucking world is this complicated and non-transparant. It is not only undemocratic, it is purposely anti-democratic. ALL of that would have to be changed.
An EU more like the United States, with more direct representation that has actual power could very well work. Though I personally would change it so that the house/senate is at all times a mirror of the popular vote instead of the WTA district thing you guys have.
That's never going to happen though. The best realistic alternative is to burn the whole thing to the ground.

The EU will never work in the form of a political union. We are too different both culturally, economically, socially, etc. The ideal scenario would be a common market and a common defense pact (note: not a common army, but national armies cooperating). Get rid of the Euro as well and you have a decent project, too bad it will never happen
