good thread

Capitalism works.

For me, now, a few years.

Says Mexico lol. No words can describe how utterly pathetic your country is

said the modern arts student, speaking english, in the Starbucks inside his private college, while using his apple computer, using his nike sneakers

wtf I hate capitalism now

sharing his ideas world wide thanks to the internet, with a life expectancy twice as it was 150 years ago

>said the economics and history major who has experienced both the highs and lows of unbound capitalism

Why do Americans shit on Mexico?

Do you not realise that America is literally on the same level, but with much more guns?

...

why is your flag sideways peruvian friend?

>Beautiful planet
You know what it's like in nature?
It's a fucking slaughterhouse

When a lion eats a gazelle, it starts at the stomach. Splitting open the stomach and feasting on the guts while the gazelle lays there, twitching, still alive.

When a spider eats a moth, it wraps it up in sticky thread the, still alive, inserts a probiscus and sucks out it's guts. Birds will smash the eggs and kill the children of other birds.

Yeah "beautiful nature" my ass. Humans are the best thing about the planet

Why is your flag a dead Austrian flag?

Is it because you ate a llama and a coke plant?

I agree but pol is full of cucks that would rather suck their manager's cock than fight for a better world.

>unbound capitalism
nice strawmen. Unregulated capitalism is shit. regulated capitalism is great.

>capitalism doesn't work.

Can you name a better method of resource allocation?

Capitalism has pulled more people out of poverty in the last 20yrs than all other paradigms combined.

Its not perfect but its better then your preferred alternative.

Regulated capitalism is just socialism pretending it's anything but.

Says the South American, typing on the internet, a device created by SOCIALIST SCIENTISTS

>Can you name a better method of resource allocation?

How about giving the workers the means of production?

aka giving a handful of politicians the means of production and trust in their good will and ability to best allocate those resources

aka watch how politicians fail to do the above

aka mass starvation all over again

aka but it wasn't real communism

based pepe mujica knows what's up

ITT : stupid counts who've never read Marx

this. Capitalists are hypocrites.

Reading marx is the surest way to become a capitalist

sure bud

Karl Marx would agree with you. Capitalism is better than feudalism and socialism is better than capitalism. It's the future. Get used to it.

Learning how to read is the surest way to read Marx

Socialism is functionally identical to feudalism, you should really not fool yourself into thinking politicians are nicer now than they were 2 centuries ago.

everone but me gotta learn

>Why do Americans shit on Mexico?

In my experience, it's mostly bro-tier banter. While many Americans do genuinely dislike illegals and non-integrated Mexicans living in America, we generally like actual Mexicans living in Mexico.

Especially those of us that have extensively traveled Mexico or are well acquainted with true Mexican culture (minus border towns, northern mex is best, btw) know that they have a beautiful country with a conservative, yet laid back outlook on life. Not to mention some great music and some of the best food on earth.

They have just lost their dignity internationally and cannot regain it without an armed revolution or US/NATO led military intervention in order to destroy their massively corrupted government and extensive criminal organizations.

Then again, America and her banks are making billions off the illicit drug trade, so I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for us to go down south and attempt to save out sister republic.

It's up to the Mexicans for now.

>socialism
aka full blown capitalistic economic model, but with political correctness and wind turbines that cost billions and will account for 4% of world's energy sources by 2050

>How about giving the workers the means of production?

who is going to to pay for the "means of production". They dont just appear out of thin air.

It's nothing in common with feudalism. Wage labour didn't even exist then.

>pay
communism isn't about paying... it's about TAKING and redistributing and hope it all works out in the end

btw I was being sarcastic

You're thinking of social democrats which are useless. Reform does nothing and is leading the planet towards disaster. There are more and better ways than wind power.

Sure it did, it was called serfdom, you worked and the government or some other lord took part of your money for "public services" that's almost always just used to build some castle or some shit.

Also, there were still businesses and merchants and etc etc and they were all still subject to taxes, regulations, whatever.

They took services and goods. Not money. Peasants were tied to the land and your station was determined at birth, nothing like capitalism or socialism.

>one person trading his goods or services for compensation in a private deal doesn't work
fuck off with this, and stop mixing up banking/corporatism with capitalism.

>You work
>In return you receive protection
That's literally a wage. You get something for your work

Corporatism is the natural development of monopoly capitalism and imperialism. They are inextricable. It's funny how people that mock the whole no true Scotsman thing for socialists do the exact same for their capitalist ideology.

> It's the future. Get used to it.
Proofs?

Friendly reminder that communist countries are poor as shit

reason.com/blog/2016/08/12/solar-and-wind-power-wont-work-without-n

I'm fine if we frack more. Fracking is great and liberals hate it for no reason.

>Corporatism is the natural development of monopoly capitalism and imperialism. They are inextricable.
This is incorrect. Allowing corporations and banks to be "people" akin to a private citizen is what does this. And that is fixable.

National Socialism is the only functional socialism.

You are silly, politicians 2 centuries ago were actually good.

Wage labour means being given money, not a service. The demise of feudalism was due to the merchants and bourgeoisie triumphing and establishing wage labour as a method of societal control. The barter economy was surpassed.

Then why weren't there any monopolies in europe or america from the start of the 19th century until the government got involved in the economy 30 years ago?

The average Mexican will never lift a finger.

We're doomed forever. Nothing will ever change, the fact that some international interests benefit from our drug trade just confirms it.

My country will never ever flourish with a government this corrupt and cynical.

I truly believe Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador is the only candidate willing to die to purge our government, but he will never win.

You are being wildly stupid if you think they didn't have paper money in the form of coins or etc until 200 years ago when feudalism ended.

>that is fixable
>who will fix it?
>the same body that recognizes them as people in the first place.

I also fail to see how the CEO of Goldman Sachs influencing the government as an individual is any better than Goldman Sachs influencing the government as a corporation.

>I was being sarcastic

I know...just couldnt resist.

>Yes, the planet got destroyed. But for a beautiful moment in time we created a multicultural utopia.

how can you all be so stupid?

you've spent all day slaving away at work so some rich twat can buy a new boat and now you're spending your free time defending it and attacking those who want a fairer which will benefit you

I'm getting paid for my services, so no.

Because the bourgeoisie which controls the state under capitalism utilised the state for their own ends. That's how class struggle works.

No but it wasn't the main means of exchange until the bourgeois liberal revolutions.

And your solution to bourgeoisie using the state to expand their power and regulating competition away and etc is to... increase the power of the state and the bourgeoisie that control it?

Are you daft? Do you think politicians get less evil when they get more power? I mean hello look at Pay to Play in the USA and every communist regime ever

It does work. Its so big right now and it cant keep up with the population.

You're getting paid just enough to keep you alive and productive

Not increase the power of the state, and certainly remove the bourgeoisie from power. I have no time for the "communist states", I firmly believe in democratic socialism and I admire the likes of Bakunin, not Stalin.

Who cares? It's the easiest way to get money, in any country even socialist or not.

what's the point in living?

The pursuit of happiness :)
