Something Asami could make but I have no canon art to prove this to be a real factual statement

...

...

man tail spin had some interesting world building.

...

...

Reminder that Asami was completely superfluous after season 2, and she should have been dropped after season 1 in the first place

I loved the "Eurêka" from "Pythegore et Cie"
It was a vehicle in which you could live.
Perfect nomad life.

Sorry, I have to better picture.

The Turbot from "Spirou"
They actually made a working one!

This nigga gets it

STANDBY FOR ACTION

Always liked thunderbirds more, especially thunderbird 2

To the moon!

Les petits hommes and Spirou have some of my favourite civilian VTOLs.

...

She's a good planefu.

...

Oh yes, the Zorglub Mobile is way cool.

>split boom tail
>H-configuration rudders
>big lazy radial engines
>big roomy fuselage
>seaplane
>red and gold paintjob.

Yeah, that's one fucking cool plane 10/10, would fly.

TB2 always bugged me. TB1 at least had the excuse of a vertical takeoff, a light load and enough speed to basically fly by sheer virtue of going fast enough to exploit the curvature of the earth, but there's no way on god's green earth that thunderbird 2 should fly.

I don't care what kind of sci-fi stuff you throw at it, those tiny, stubby little wings cannot possibly create enough lift to support something that probably weighs twice as much as a fully laden C5.

all the others hold up a lot better, but thunderbird 2 should just drop into the fucking ocean the moment it leaves the runway.

I enjoyed the designs in this show, pity it flew under the radar.

I had A LOT of toys of it as a kid.

...

...

There's more evidence to the contrary.
Pic related was neither cool not functional.

...

...

>I just need an angle
Too bad your car can't take curves for shit.

Guy built an all-terrain crazy capture claw deathtrap on wheels for his illegal activities. Is there any poacher, real or fictional, more dedicated?

while I view this as the inferior Rescuers movie, I will never argue that Madame Medusa had a cooler ride, because that thing belongs in a Mad Max movie.

What the fuck is that?

I'm good, thanks.

That's something I like about the rebooted TB2: they made its VTOL engines way fucking bigger than the tiny spurts of the original, so it makes a bit more sense when hovering.
Horizontal flight is still firmly in suspension-of-disbelief land though.

It's Asami's idea of a manned aerial assault vehicle. Shaped like a parakeet for some reason.

idk, I alwas thought Medusa's proto jet ski was pretty cool.

Those. They're shit.

Hummingbird, which basically have the most impossible to replicate way of flying.

>we'll take the animated series batmobile
>and ruin it

serious they already have planes, was that HARD to use planes and drop some bombs?

Or, had it not been a Nick cartoon, those planes would've had machineguns probably, or even rockets, to shoot at the giant fucking eyeholes on the giant retarded megatronbot.

>that body to wing ratio
Christ that triggers my autism.

Why does he look like the most Australian shitposter in existence?

No no user, bandits have planes, armies apparently don't.

>while I view this as the inferior Rescuers movie
I honestly put them as equals. Down Under is probably a bit more fun tho.

I hope that was a pun.

...

>Fusion-powered turbine
>top speed of 5,000mph
>AKA over Mach fucking 6
Those wings are clearly ailerons, like on pic related, meant for maneuvering, not lift. Also, TB2 flies much much faster that any missile we have today.

At some point, around mach 2 or 3, lift just isn't an issue. It's like saying no missile or rocket can fly horizontally because they're cylindrical.
TB2 just has too much horsepower behind it to give two shits about gravity until it decelerates to its stall speed, then it's VTOL jets take over.

Hitting Mach 2 means just about any need for lift can get fucked.

cadillac that turns into a camper

the only downside is that it doesn't have wheels.

...

>Huge glass window
>All those things sticking out from the hull
It's cool, but that's one shitty submarine.

The new Thunderbird is pretty neat.
youtube.com/watch?v=OwL0cqxuHdM

not to mention it's steam powered.

Posting best racer.

That brings up something I have never thought about. How do diesel subs deal with the exhaust?

Also that's a really weird helmet, like they couldn't decide on wether to pick the german or the british one.

Seems awfully small for living in.

Hi.

>no bootleg VW badge
Opportunity wasted.

...

Got an animated one?

That made me think of this...
youtube.com/watch?v=ZcEXydy8zGM

What's this from? It looks familiar.

I think the show was called skyhawks or something

...

>How do diesel subs deal with the exhaust?

They don't, conventionally powered submarines use a diesel-electric drive system where the diesel engines both propel the sub and charge massive battery banks while the sub is on the surface (or just beneath the surface if the sub has a snorkel) and the batteries power electric motors that drive the sub at depth.

A-HEM

I like to think that Asami designed those things purely to whip out her engineering-dick in front of Kuvira and her army. Because getting those things to work is technically a triumph but they are so impractical and un-necessary that you would only ever actually build them just to prove that you could.

>batteries
Oh right, I forgot those were onboard.

Coming through.

I find it very amusing how both US and Japanese animators made completely unrelated dieselpunk cartoons with seaplanes and sky pirates starring an old pilot and a young perky sidekick within like a year of each other.

>Dieselpunk
Has that word lost all meaning and is now just used for anything set in the interwar time?

a challenger appears

Porco Rosso is realistic, but the sky pirates' planes are dieselpunk as fuck.

To an extent anyways, some are mashups of dorniers and stuff.

Shame Porco didn't get an actual S21 though, or that noone was flying an MC72 with guns.

I will never understand egg-planes ... but I-16s are qt. They're GeeBees with guns.

>I find it very amusing how both US and Japanese animators made completely unrelated dieselpunk cartoons

Even in the US, artists generally tend to be aware of what's going on outside of the Anglo bubble, user. It's why some stuff from french scifi comics ended up being worked into Star Wars.

Talespin came first though

Reminds me of Kukuburi's piloted whale.

Pic related is another piloted creature.

Xavier's gold hoverchair

Man, the animated version of Arzach was such a colossal disappointment.

Skyland. It's very disappointing.

>body to wing ratio
wing?
pic related was a real thing

Your move

Avrocar was terrible. Make way for a superior flying machine.

that doesn't really count, helicopters and hovercraft don't have wings either

It's an abstract kind of vehicle.

youtube.com/watch?v=_GLLY_PieCU&t=3m27s

best steam punk vehicle coming through

Of course there's wing-less designs, but the thing from LoK up there just looks horrible and has really tiny wings.

The rotors on a helicopter are wings. Then again so are propellers.

Is mach 5 still cool?

gee karnage, how come your mom lets you have SIX machineguns?

>he says posting something other than the steam plane
youtube.com/watch?v=nw6NFmcnW-8

>no one mentions best vehicle
Sup Forums I am disappoint

Lightning?

What planes were the pirates' planes based on anyway? I remember it was some kind of inter-war italian seaplane, but I don't remember the name.

HRRN

The Spruce Moose

...

Cruise's best ride.

To be fair Kuvira's impractical machinery dick was pretty big too.

Fuck me I forgot how gorgeous this movie is.

...

that's way more Sup Forums, but excellent taste all the same, user

Yes it is

Beautiful.
I, however have a softspot for the XLII, even if it is the moon-moon of the armors
