Rebirth has been enjoyable, but not nearly as amazing as Sup Forums hypes it up to be. I still have more Marvel on my pull list than I do Rebirth.

I think it's because lately a lot of DC's comics have been turning out relatively good/decent, while a majority of Marvel's have been subpar or just flat out shit.
Admittedly, this might be semi biased since DC got me back into comics during DCYou, but Marvel has always interested me.

There are more current Marvel titles that I'm reading and enjoying opposed to DC, yeah they are producing cool things, but nothing that I honestly care enough about to pull.

Also, I only maintain a pull list to get the 15% discount on soda and popcorn in the cinema where my lcs is found

DC has a lot better artists most of the time. Sometimes they go back and forth between Marvel and DC but the best ones stay at DC for longer runs. Also, just by coincidence, the books DC puts artists on vs. the ones Marvel put them on emphasis their art better.

Example: Andrea Sorrentino had an awesome art run on Green Arrow for DC, his art is covered in lots of shadows and abstract stuff. So the vibrant color of Green Arrow made his art really cool. When he went to Marvel, he had to draw Old Man Logan. His art became boring because he's just drawing an old guy in a wifebeater.

Many reasons

2. Adorable Superdad and Superson
3. They aren't shooting themselves in the foot (at least compared to Marvel's current stuff)

Darwyn Cooke said in one of his most recent panels, that can never work for Marvel because of some of the people in charge that really betrayed him. Darwyn Cooke basically was curating an entire line of comics aimed at a younger audience. He gave them all the ideas, he still owns most of the concept art in his house. Marvel stopped talking to him and created the Marvel Adventures line and never called him back ever again. I believe he wanted to sue but it was too much of a hassle or whatever.

Marvel screwed Darwyn Cooke. Now he's dead. DC is home of New Frontier.

And then Sup Forums is all about the big two and nothing else so if it isn't Marvel, it's DC. I'm just sitting here waiting for the next Orc Stain issue and Mouse Guard book.

Because I grew up with DC characters, and I love them. I like the emphasis on legacy and history. It was fun seeing kid sidekicks grow up to become adult heroes. I overall preferred DCYou to Rebirth, but at least all those good writers stuck around and they're bringing back some lost connections.

Part of it is DC fans being especially vocal right now now that they have something to brag about.

For basically their entire existence, Marvel has dominated DC in sales, and recently they've been destroying them in the movies as well. DC fans have endured a lot of trolling with Snyder's failures, Nu52, DC You's bad sales...

This is the first real big upswing in a long time, so I don't begrudge them going a little wild with it and exaggerating the quality of Rebirth a bit (there's some good stuff, but outside Young Animal it's not really anything special)

Also, yeah, Marvel comics 90% fucking suck right now. I'm to the point where I'm only following Spider-Man (and even then it's just for Doc Ock) and Civil War II (just to bitch about it.) And I'm certainly not paying for either of them.

Until they get their shit together, I'm only in it for the movies.

It's really pretty outstanding how DC keeps innovating and pushing the medium forward into new and interesting ways while providing affordable but hard hitting masterpieces and genre-defining works, meanwhile Marvel is pretty much nothing but SJW shilling meme-garbage.

Because of most Sup Forums doesn't read those comics. If something is good, people will discuss it, it's why Sup Forums has countless Eva threads or Sup Forums still talks about the wire or the sopranos.

This is false on Sup Forums though, the things that are generally good are talked about during a storytime, but otherwise ignored so we can talk about stuff in comics and cartoons thag trigger us.
