Fun fact,
Dick and Starfire were supposed to get married, but Batman editorial didn't approve. Batman had exploded just 3-4 years earlier thanks to the movies, and combined with declining Titans sales, Batman had started being a bigger priority whereas a decade ago, it was the other way around.
There was also a Nightwing mini planned before Dick and Starfire got married to help set things up. Buuuut the editor, Jonathan Peterson, left to go do shit with Image, which had literally just been founded around this time.
Also issues #81-83 of Mark Waid's run on The Flash refer to Nightwing and Starfire as husband and wife, just to hammer in how fast the rug got pulled out from under them.
