Either the Great Outdoor Fight, or when they try to rescue Philippe who had run away to retrieve the old couch they threw out.

Subway Wars

But as far as single strips go, this has to be my favorite.

I really like the Phillipe gets kidnapped by Nice Pete. People mentioned better ones already but I like that as a nice, tone one. RB imagining the fucked up tetris puzzles as he panics is great.

Great Outdoor Fight is quintessential Achewood arc.

Other arcs have better moments but viewed as a whole, GOF is supreme.

I loved the strips surrounding Beef's wedding. Especially when Ramses gets involved and meets Molly's dad

GOF is the moment when I realize that Onstad is a truly singular talent.

is he even doing Achewood anymore?
has he moved on?
did depression kill his creativity?

When Ray dies maybe

>"I was that puppy Ray. You flicked a booger at me. I ate it, in my innocence."

Or perhaps the wedding. It was such a great exhibition of everyone's character. Especially Teodor fucking things up as usual with no redemption.

It's been back on regular schedule for the better part of the year now.

"Ray gets kinda high"

Way too hard to decide. Other than GOF..

>Ray's toilet party
>Badass Games
>Phillippe and the couch
>Lonis Edison

i've always had a soft spot for the road trip one

Cartilage head arc:

I really like the Great Outdoor Fight but I know people think that's when it jumped the shark.

What can I say, man, I love that shounen tournament arc crap

I like the one where they find the guy who invented comic sans.

Arc: yeah gof but I always have a soft spot for the Badass Games.
Single strip: Lyle has to register as an asshole.

Updating once weekly now. He's staying away from stories longer than two-parters right now, which is probably best.

GoF is a given.

Phillippe gets enough money to go home, and is horribly depressed.

Nice Pete kidnaps Teodor for high school shenanigans haha no nevermind that arc is shit.

The Great Outdoor Fight, with honourable mentions to Todd's North Korean Text Adventure, Nice Pete's band and murder attempt, anything Cartilege Head related and Ray's attempts to out-kitsch the Mexican family across the street to try and stop them from putting up a big Christmas display.

This. Achewood has some great arcs, but over-reaching plot points can drain a man. Remember Molly and Roast Beef's wedding? Remember Wales?

Exactly.

I hated it when it was going on, but doing an archival reading kind of sold me on it. It goes to a few really dark places and the whole thing is kind of swept under the rug and forgotten about in the end, but it was an interesting experiment, even if ones of the bullet points we have to walk away from it with is "Nice Pete once kicked Teodor's ass so badly that he blew an old man in a traumatized, near-death delierium."

My favorite arc is definitely the time Todd becomes a male escort and then pisses on an enchanted rope that transports him to North Korea where he hangs out with Kim Jong Il for like a week. Both premises were so absurd, and then Todd tries his hardest to save the translator the DPRK provided him, which was oddly sweet coming from him.

Anything involving mexican magical realism. My fav single strip has to be the gang trying to record subversive kool-aid American Idol gay porn but they can only get a single actor, so they try to solve it using Photoshop.

Man every time theres a topic like this Im reminded of how much I love this comic. Off to binge read the entire archive again.
