just be reasonable, you can pass as an office help or machine manipulator, not astronaut
Harass businesses. Like turn in an application, make sure to see and talk with the manager. Then go in a few days later and ask if they've looked at it. Then call a few days later, and so forth. Doesn't work? Try another.
Also tell all your friends you are looking for work, if they're working and find a job opening at their work, they can put in a good word for you.
I'm in the same boat as you but it isn't hopeless
Get an entry-level position somewhere. A few months later, put out your resume, now using that entry-level position as "experience".
Everyone I know is out of state, does that matter?
