I'll be honest: I'm kind of hyped for this to come in a few hours. I wasn't much, but I feel like the writer may do a nice work with the characters. And the preview wasn't bad either.

>I’m writing it as these two particular characters – and others to join later on – are all at a crossroads in their respective lives. Something has happened in their lives, and now they have to find themselves. It’s an existential journey of redemption. That’s part of what I like in Clint and Red Wolf’s relationships – they’re helping each other through this.
>(...)
>I want to play with this notion of getting to know characters within the context of the story in ways that wouldn’t work with two people sitting around talking. It’s also me experimenting with narratives styles in my work.

Seems like the right approach for a team book, actually. Building the team relationships and dynamics while giving action and story, not just either one or the other.

Cool, I'll be sure to download a copy.

Not that I am going to buy it either, mate. But it's nice to read nice stuff, you know.

>-occupy-avengers-is-avengers-unauthorized-grassroots-superhero-team
Now I have flashbacks of Storm and "I don't have mandate to make a team :'(" and Psylocke going all "make a team without their approval!"
Literally ugh.

I respect what he's trying to do, but the book is doomed because that's how he's doing it.

I am going to wait to see with this book. It might to what Erwing and Dungan did which is completely suprise me in a good way.

I am going to be really interested on how they make the Marvel Civies 'sympathetic'.

>But it's nice to read nice stuff, you know.
Yeah that's why I read DC.

You can like things that are not your waifu, user.

I don't read X-Book. They're painful.

He's doing almost the same in the PM&IF book and so far is lasting. Let's think positive: it cannot be more boring than current AN Avengers.

I am actually hyped for the USA Avengers. Not being USA and all that.

The preview that got put up a couple days ago showed promise.

Title is still shit. Occupy fizzled into irrelevance years ago.

Apparently, the name was editorial mandated. It's an awful name, I agree.

I liked Walker's Shaft comics so I might give this a try.

The title put me off it originally and I would never have considered looking at it if it wasn't for the preview that was posted here.

I'm down with the a-team theme, but I wish that they picked a different for this book.

Hopefully Walker won't continue the trend of dragging Clint through the mud that practically every writer, other than Ewing, has been doing for years now.

This is gonna be a great book. I'm trying to tell ya Sup Forums! Clint and some friends traveling the US helping people, righting wrongs,

Actually is anyone using the New Avengers name? because c'mon

>American Eagle came to mind, as did a couple other Native American characters – with a goal to change the stereotype. Editorial came back and brought up the recent Red Wolf book and asked about that character being a good fit.
Motherfuckers, American Eagle is awesome, I would've actually paid for this if he was a part of this comic.

I think this team isn't technically an avengers team. That's why they're not New or Secret, maybe? I don't know.

I'm guessing they don't want to get some people confused this team with the Ewing team. Doubt it's that, but who knows.

I can be sarcastic too, user. Believe it!

Isn't it a couple years too late to use Occupy or is it that enough time has passed they can get away with it?

It's stupid no matter what.

That's what I was getting at, yes.

This. Marvel is finished.

It's a shame that this is saddled with this "occupy avengers" title. I like the premise, like the creative team, glad to see a more serious Hawkeye back, it's really sounding like it'll hit all the right buttons.

But holy shit what a horrible title for a comic in [the current year].

Come on, it's just s silly name. Ignore it.

I'm going to headrename it as Seventh Samurai Avengers or A-Team Avengers or something.

It's gonna be a SJW shitfest so fuck it, fuck Marvel. Not giving it a chance.
End of story.

Okay.

Look, another guy that can forsee tge future, like that Ulysses fellow.

Chill, user. I have no reasom to think it's anything like what you're imagining. Unless my understanding and yours of what SJW is is very, very apart.

Wonder if they're going to address the fact that Clint is a stone cold killer now?

I can see it from the cover and the title. I don't need to read the comic to know that I won't enjoy it.
Trust and faith in Marvel is lost.

>I don't know what marketing small markets with a misleading cover is.

If you at least had read the preview or even the interview in the link, you would have actually learn that is almost a Seven Samurai rip off story. And you may need to know than social awareness isn't the same as social justice fundamentalism.

I know you're not a troll. That's why I'm replying to (You).

Reviews and interviews are just hyping it up, like it's their job to do.
Marvel is very well known to mislead its customers, and when we catch up with their cheating and start complaining, we get "manbabies" responds from them and the aligned media.
The interview could as well be telling me that this will be pure unadulterated superheroes fighting villains like the good old times, I still won't believe them.
I don't trust them anymore, it's as simple as that.

Teaming up with Hal Jordan, lots of fun.

I hate how long its taking to reveal the full team

Taking a whole arc to introduce all of the members has killed better books

No one gives a shit about the occupy movement anymore. The SWJ have moved on to BLM.

Well, if you don't trust either art or interviews, I guess it's fair. I was kind of annoyed by the complaining in the cover and the title alone, to be honest.

I felt the interview really tried to sell the book as an A-Team thing, and I think it's almost honest with it, but I also expect a bit of drama trow in it too, just because they need to if they want to make the characters, who are briken, to grow. They're not going to advertuce that in an Avenger named book, I'm pretty sure of that.

And even that is starting to split as some realise their "leaders" are making bank and living it up while others are becoming more militant.

Apparently we are going to know the whole cast by issue 5.

It's retarded to not tell who the other team members are at this point, yes. Especially when most of them if not all the remaining ones are goint to be C and D listers.

A nigger, a muslim, a young Argentinan and women.

My, how progressive.

I just read the interview anyway because you replied seriously.
So it's a spin-off avengers team fighting corporate greed for the sake of the workers.
Pretty much like saying something like a Unionist Superhero? Heh.
I might not be a fan of American capitalism and the Big Business overall, but I hate Unions even more.
And I really distrusted the Occupy movement too. They were not a friend, just an enemy of an enemy.
He said he was trying to find a good title before coming up with Occupy Avengers but why can't he be honest with himself and call them the Socialist Avengers or the Communist Avengers.
Far-fetched? I think not. Just give it a few issues since you intend to read it, and you'll see, the tenets of socialism will start showing and those of soial justice will be ever present.
And the workers? Oh, you can see from the cover already, they're gonna be a diverse ragtag of people, which is not bad. .But the bad thing is the corporate greed representators are gonna be solely white guys, you just know this. That's discrimination.
And I'm not even American, I'm not even white (according to racists at least) but I know discrimination when I see it, coming from either side.
And in the end of it all, it's one of the same. More identity politics, more pandering, this time the working class. This is not what I read superhero comics for.

Damn, I wish my English was better to reply properly.

I see your point. I can understad your position, but I disagree. Bad and unempathic people exisr everywhere, but corporarion aren't people, and that's why usually the are destructive and impossing. They also have the resources to grt the better out of yhe system, unlike common, street level individuals. And that's why they're evil evel for capitalist bad guys standards, sometimes, at least.

Would be the same with a totalitarian gov, yes. But USA ins't one and you have to tell the story.

I don't think the book is going togo the socialist route tho. But we will see, anyways. Is the good think about time: you only have to wait.

I fucking hate my smartphone.

I HATE IT! FUCK YOU, DUMB PHONE!

Shut up, Scott.

The whole "they're at a crosspoint in their lives" is ridiculous when they've been in their 30s for over 40 years.

>we finna take back dem justices and shieet
t. hawkeye of (very recent) murder

I'm sure we could come up with better ones, but I don't know which would fit this particular premise the best.

So is it out yet?

Hawkeye/Red Wolf: Hard Travelling Heroes

Since the movies came out, Marvel civies became huge fanboys.

Have you not noticed yet?

excellent posts, anons. We need more quality posters like you.

your english is fine, don't worry.

We Are Avengers

Fucking what?
I've got a couple of native friends and they both fucking hated Red Wolf for being the embodiment of the stereotype and acting like natives were a thing of the past.
Here's hoping that American Eagle will show up in USAvengers, though.

I hope that Nighthawk stays a surly, white-guy-hating bastard who kills people.
