Vietnam is poor but has a good future so its not too sad things have already improved a lot in just the last 10-20 years biggest problem is north-south autistic rivalry
just because a lot of rural people otherwise things like property is very strictly controlled which prevents shantytowns and other shit resulting from rapid over-urbanization that and currency control means even poor people here are not so desperate as local goods are kept cheap and affordable, only imports are expensive (aka luxuries)
