>Despite warnings from the FBI, CIA and NSA that phones from Chinese companies such as Huawei may be used to spy on them, citizens across Europe continue to buy the devices, lured inexplicably by their affordable prices and increasingly premium specs and build quality.
>Huawei has said shipments to Europe grew more than 50 percent in the first half of 2017. In two major smartphone markets – Italy and Spain – Huawei now reportedly ships more phones than Samsung or Apple.
How about the FBI, CIA and NSA follow their own advice and stay the fuck away from my things
Josiah Cook
>please buy our spyware so the chinks cant spy on you lol
Gavin Price

John Bailey
it's funny because cia and nsa literally uses apple phones to spy on people
and eu knew the difference
Matthew Butler
the warnings were for US citizens, why would europoors feel obligated to listen
Nicholas Morris
t. Marcos Xiang Lopez Wong
Asher Ortiz
"despite warnings" no one said obligation
Christian Butler
it's not like they can't spy on chinese phones
Jace Turner

Odd how Europe has never developed any smart phone of their own.

Europeans have always been traitors anyway. Back in the day, West Germany was the primary lender of money to the Soviet Union and during the Berlin Wall crisis in 1961, they continued to sell high grade steel plumbing to Moscow for some months afterwards until pressured by the US to stop. A lot of them also actively did business with North Vietnam during the height of the Vietnam War.
You can see it more recently in European cunts throwing a bitchfit at the sanctions imposed on Russia after the Ukraine debacle in 2014. "Butbutbut we need to sell our crap to Russia fuck you Amerifats."
Tyler Roberts
More spies are lurking in S/W than H/W.
Samuel Clark
what the hell would they have to do with a random shitskin spic in mexico unless you are a cartel member?
Nolan Ortiz
Mexicans think they are important enough to be spies on.
Bentley Cox
There is already a thread for this on Sup Forums And the consensus is if alphabet agencies tell you to no use something, then use it because they don't have power over that something.
Liam Jackson
Like most Chinese "companies", Xiaomi is a front for the CCP/PLA so anything you buy from them is going to fund their organ-harvesting dictatorship of a government.
Aaron Adams
We're ignoring them too. Huawei is giving us 29 gbps mobile data in 2020.
Lincoln Bennett
"Some call me an idealist. Well, that's how I know I'm American. America is the only idealistic country in the world."
How? Samsung has nothing that can compare to Huawei's Honor 7x.
Michael Wright
oh yeah because usa is so much better
i am glad to give money to the chinese, this way it doesn't go into the pocket of the french government which is a judeo-bolshevik mafia that fills the country with niggers, i try to give them as little money as possible

Friendly reminder that *ANY* device with an American processor and/or OS is literally spyware for the Amerifats.
Josiah Rodriguez
Xiaomi has nothing to do with them which is why no security agency warned anyone against Xiaomi. What did you buy?
Juan Nguyen
I honestly don’t give a shit if the Chinese spy on me. Not like they can do shit with it anyway. Being spied on by the country I live in is a bigger concern.
Reminder that any Canadian flags seen in a thread pertaining to China should be hidden and ignored on sight.
Jacob Torres
>a fucking notch >copying a design defect chinks are fucking shameless
Thomas Perry
the same way you guys collected vast amounts of meta data on your own citizens. everyone not american has probably had their communications intercepted by your intelligence agencies.
Nicholas Bennett
>Waah waah why aren't you buying our insanely overpriced LNG?
Luis Lee
Neat, it's the Russian diaspora whose parents own a restaurant. Haven't seen him in a while.
Gavin Murphy
Why don’t yuros make their own smart phone?
Benjamin Jackson
The US government has reason to suspect that chinkphones are a backdoor route for China to perform hacking/cyber warfare in the event of a military conflict. While we can't stop shitholes like Romania from buying them, we sure can block them from sale in the US, which also deprives them of the world's largest consumer market.
Josiah Jones
The Volgaturd? Nah hate him too. That being said I'm not an Atlanticist who thinks we should jeapordise our economy just to boost yours
Jayden Foster
is that a museum item? i am sure there must be a museum of euro technologies. that's how we would learn about them.
Luke Ross
>being this fucking clueless and stupid
Jaxson Wilson
>ikimobile
this phone only comes with Greek keyboard
Jonathan Cooper
Are we all going to pretend the PRISM leaks didn't happen? The American government should be internationally slammed every time it talks about spying with such complete lack of self awareness.
Julian Williams
I'm not an expert but from my courses, the idea is that a country can only possibly invest in so many different sectors at once, so it focuses on a few different things that the country is good at, for historical or geographic reasons.
It is called "specialisztion of industry". Here for example we do engine parts, aeronautics, luxury products, food and pharmaceuticals.
Henry Rivera
Any mobile phone in any country is the best spying tool there is. We fell for it ourselves.
Luke Walker
It is not the government's spying that is alarming, it is corporations. Apple, Google, Facebook etc.
Nathaniel Cruz
>How about the FBI, CIA and NSA follow their own advice and stay the fuck away from my things They don't care about you. I hate to break it to you. Even what the NSA was doing was basically just data mining.
Charles Nelson
That sounds more like stupidity than specialization. The 4 most valuable countries in the world are all Tech companies (Google, Apple, Amazon, Microsoft).
Nolan Fisher
>please buy our spyware so the chinks cant spy on you >lol
I'm literally posting from a xiaomi chinkphone it's cheap and good quality, and It just werks. Amerisharts can get nuked, read that NSA niggers

>if you don't buy a Chinese phone that means you HAVE to buy an American one this board's become so frothing at the mouth retarded that it's unbelievable
>NSA, FBI, and fucking CIA saying this That's fucking rich. Regardless, it's hilarious how yuropoors keep bragging about the fall of America and the rise of China, and not intending to ever suck China's economic dick, and already they're making room for both cocks.
Ayden King
edgy anti-americanism. how reddit can you get
Leo Wright
Shall be buying a Chinese or Korean phone next time. I dislike China but it's better than sponsoring the economy of a group of terrorists pretending to be a state
Daniel Lewis
irony. Only we are allowed to spy on you! FPBP
Bentley Roberts
Same
In 2012 the US government claimed that Huawei had a backdoor for Chinese spies, and so Huawei gave out their source code to the NSA and many independent western companies for free.
None found a backdoor. And the US government shut up about it until this year. Now they claim the same shit without presenting any evidence.
Thomas Stewart
Tech is a new thing and went above expectations of economists, yes, that is why there is now investment to get a tech sector, something we've been lagging behind on somewhat. Mostly it seems to be the creation of schools for codemonkeys, not electronics factories. For example China did not just decide to start making phones for no reasons, there was a concerted effort to invest into electronic industry for reasons x and y.
There is still absolutely nothing wrong with the idea that there should be some sectors of investment that are a priority, tech is one but making phones is not the order of the day here. Maybe in some other EU country it is. We have one phone company which is Wiko and even they just outsource the creation process from China and focus on software and retail on the domestic market. People think there is no point starting a whole bunch of courses that would actually train people to build phones, build the factories to produce them, import raw materials we probably don't have, and build a whole new industry from the ground up and so on, only to compete with much well-established competitors in a crowded market. And i would agree. It's not like it's possible for every single country to produce phones, and other goods than phones are also valuable.
>>Ironically, the only known hacking we know of that's closely related to Huawei wasn't done by the company or the Chinese government, but by the NSA. In 2012, it was revealed the NSA had made a program called "Shotgiant" that created backdoors into Huawei-made networking equipment in order to monitor communications around the world and find ties between the Chinese company and China's People's Liberation Army.
haha, the irony is fucking comical.
Elijah Stewart
My next phone will be jap :3
Bentley Brooks
I hope none of you unironically buy iPhones or chink shit. I wouldn't be surprised if the chink shit is battery IED prone. Only get shit from China if you're some sort of electronics enthusiast and like building junk out of scrap.
>oh yeah because usa is so much better I don't remember us harvesting Falun Gong members' kidneys for practicing a religion the government doesn't like.
Smartphones are great and all but it will really be nice once china can compete well in processors which is hopefully only a few years out.
