Do you think the wealthy have any practical advice to impart to the lower and middle classes or is the class distinction simply too vast for their experience and knowledge to be valuable to them?
Do you think the wealthy have any practical advice to impart to the lower and middle classes or is the class...
Vegetables are pretty expensive especially organic
the wealthy that grew up dirt poor can have good advice. rich people that born into middle-class or wealthy families don't know shit though
>9 limes
What the fuck? Do these people live on Lemon Drop Martinis
Who the fuck buys 7 limes when they're broke af
Why don't you donate then? Vapid virtue signalling cunt
Little off topic but no, they really aren't. That's a misconception. You are right that organic is more expensive but unless you're some status seeking cunt like Gwyneth there is no reason to buy organic, most of its purported advantages have been debunked.
They don't. They buy one McDonald's meal and a new iPhone.
Maybe instead of buying all that organic shit they should buy frozen and get boxed dinners which can last 2-3 days.
>6 limes
>kale
>cilantro
Exactly what the fuck are you going to make with that shit?
how about the proported advantage that it doesnt taste like shit. whens the last time you had nonorganic berries
Gwenyth Paltrow is an idiot. she can't do what /fit/ does at the grocery store weekly. She needs to read the sticky.
Odd my local grocer has 30 limes for a dollar specials sometimes. Corn is 10 cents an ear right now, no idea how these people could fuck this up so bad.
>mentality of a poor person: the post
the kale, eggs, beans, and rice have 100x the nutrients of frozen dinners from 1/10th of the cost.
Poor people just can't comprehend this, and thus remain poor.
SNAP is supposed to be supplementary, meaning that it's only meant to cover a portion of your food budget. If you only have this much money to spend on food every week, you're either a useless fuck with no job or are terrible at managing money.
And to answer your question, they don't give a damn about us except for when it benefits them.
>1 avocado and 1 tomato vs 19 limes
>parsley
>babies first tortilla
>1 ear of unshucked corn
>kale AND lettuce
This image gets more and more retarded the longer i look at it
How is this bad? Cheap, healthy.
>woman
There's your answer.
I just realised that cilantro is coriander
I always thought it was some kind of mexican food dirt
You don't need to buy frozen dinners to eat inexpensively and definitely not to eat well. The same way in you don't need to buy takeout if you're poor.
>the kale, eggs, beans, and rice have 100x the nutrients of frozen dinners from 1/10th of the cost.
Citation?
The only correct thing to say to all of this is, "get a fucking job!"
>whens the last time you had nonorganic berries
About 10 days ago. Blueberries for my oats. A fucking 200g punnet was like 6 bucks. Fuck knows how much organic ones would cost. These were fine too.
>Citation?
They don't need nutrients. They need calories.
yo senpai leave kale alone
>Citation?
Tbqh fit sticky did teach me how to spend next to nothing and cook...
Buy potatoes and milk then
kek
2 lb pasta $1
36 oz sauce $3
1 onion 33¢
a few mushrooms 25¢
1lb chicken $4
6 boxes mac n cheese $2
10 tv dinners $10
6 apples $2
tldr gwenyth paltrow get on your fucking knees
Sure. Stop wasting fucking money on pets, iphones, booze, takeout/restaurants, the list goes on and on. But if people acted on that they wouldn't stay poor for long in a place like the US.
>doesn't mention nutrients
>not 1/10th of the cost
I was being facetious anyway, but fuck you.
kill kangaroos and eat them
also shoot any wild gorillas you see breathing gasline
>the wealthy that grew up dirt poor can have good advice.
I think they can but it is also becomes disproportionately less valuable to those in situations similar to their origins with each passing year in wealth. Things simply change too rapidly.
Same way boomers giving advice on how to buy a home and get a job is virtually useless to many people half their age.
>people don't buy rice bags and some other ingrediants to make some easy ass cheap food and occasional chicken when you feel like going fancy
These fuckers don't know how to live in poverty.
I was kicked out by my parents when I was 19 and had to survive on a measel 1000$ a month in fucking sweden.
They're fucking wasting their money on shitty food like that. Fucking retards.
I fucking bet that shit is "ORGANIC" Aswell. Disgusting.
>inb4 muh families
Maybe they shouldn't pop out 5 kids when they can barely sustain themselves
get a fucking 20lb bag of rice for $12. That shit will last forever and fill you the fuck up. 2 cups of rice will make you 3 large meals. probably 6 meals for kids.
Not only is that a lot of food for a week, if you really are in a bad living situation, but that money can be used much more efficiently. Sure, ramen and tuna isn't the best, but that's 1$ for a day's worth of food. That $29 could be good for a month, and I've lived off much less than that.
maybe thats because you are a shitskin, mohammed
That's just shitty shopping. You can get a 10 lb. bag of enriched long grain white rice for 4 fucking dollars alone at Walmart. Paltrow is a typical shit-stirring kike. Stop believing Jewish deceit, OP.
"Dont touch me you filthy casual" is the most advice I'm ever going to give you swine.
My wife is completely hopeless with cooking and we're very poor, any good suggestions on cheap but decent meals?
I tried suggestions on jazzing up ramen but it did nothing for me, I loved the suggestions on jazzing up oatmeal and it was amazing.
Go cash in your food stamps, can't have you forgetting to feed your wives son.
SNAP is food stamps, but its not the only food stamps, SNAP is a federal subsidy like you said, States also have food programs and if you are really poor you can get even more free money.
garlic mashed potatoes
bag frozen veggies in a pan with olive oil and salt
can never go wrong
Fit sticky literally fucking saved my life. Fuck yes.
Should have gone to Aldi and gotten that for about 5 dollars
vegetables, beans, rice and the right spices will get you a lot of fucking places if you do it right. Learn to cook yourself you dumb nigger if your wife too stupid. There's a lot of different veggies out there that are all cheap as fuck, especially during the summer.
onions are fucking delicious if you saute them with garlic, throw in some dark green veggie, make rice/beans/both + spices. Vinegar, oil, soy sauce, hot sauce. All of this shit is super cheap especially when you go to the right places
I make a shitload of money now and I still eat this way because it's better for you, cheap and easy.
This. What people don't understand is that frozen produce are often more nutritious and fresh than "fresh" produce.
When they freeze fruits and veggies, it stops the decomposition process and the incremental loss of nutrients, whereas "fresh" fruits and veggies are continually rotting little by little and are losing their nutrients as it happens.
And your so-called "fresh" produce have been rotting for days in grocery stores. Then factor in the time it takes to get said produce from the source to the grocery stores. Then factor in the time it will take before it's prepared as food - anything that's not freezing will only slightly slow the process of decomposition. Then factor in the cooking (if you will be cooking it), which destroys some of the nutrients.
With frozen produce, it could last for weeks in your freezer with very little decomposition and loss of nutrients.
If you can't (for some reason) find frozen produce, go canned. It's not as fresh and as nutritious (it may also not be as "organic" because of preservation methods/additives, if there are any), but it's still better than "fresh" produce by a long shot.
And it's significantly cheaper than fresh produce, regardless if it's not organic or it's "Whole Foods" organic hipster-bullshit.
There, I just saved some of the stupid liberals in Sup Forums some money. Maybe they could afford that iPhone now without demanding $15/hr. Better yet, STOP BUYING FUCKING IPHONES you libshits. Save your money, like you're supposed to.
Agreed
Aldi is based as fuck. They really need self service checkouts though. The lines are a joke.
Remove two of those conveyor belts that are never manned, even when it's busy, and replace it with a bay of self service checkouts and force one of those lazy fucks wandering around doing nothing to oversee. Would be so much better.
The process of canning and freezing food usually destroys vitamins and nutrients depending on how they do it. Like with canning pasteurization destroys vitamin c
Frozen produce is fine but those boxed frozen meals are cancerously shit. Disgusting, no nutrients and for the most part overpriced.
Fuck off fat fuck.
aldis is the bomb yo
i disagree i find that canned things are pretty dead and degraded when you open them not giving you the same benefits as a fresh vegetable would
and a lot of times frozen veggies have been BLANCHED so theyre not truly raw
and most people microwave their frozen veggies so additionally theyre not raw
fresh is the best ... just gotta do some good shopping and get only the freshest
and organic is not a meme you simply dont know what it means
go to whole foods and look at the veggies and they will shine bright gleaming green colors and then go to walmart produce section the shit is brown and half dead and smells like shit
organic means no pesticides no synthetic fertilizer and just higher production value on a smaller scale higher quality due to USDA standards that need to be met
Truth. I hate waiting in line while some guy is basically jerking off in the forklift blocking the pasta. Best time to go is right before school lets out, no single moms to clog the lines like any other time of the day
Plus if your food is decomposing maybe you should have eaten the damn stuff earlier.
Eat the shit that decays first rather than eating a bunch of potatoes and rice on day one that will last like a fucking year without decaying.
You can buy TV dinners for 2$ or so a pop and can easily survive eating 1-2 a day. If retards want more food then get a fucking job.
try mixing kraft mac & cheese with chili, and add a bunch of cheddar
its p good
The best way to get them fresh is by going to a farm and picking them. Or growing your own produce, which is even better.
But if you don't have access to produce that fresh, then frozen is your best bet. Yes, some are blanched, so they're really cooked and flash-frozen. But there are some that are just flash-frozen. You need to find out which ones are still fresh before flash-frozen and which ones aren't. And even if they were partially-cooked, it's still fresher and more nutritious than the stuff you buy in stores, which aren't as fresh as you think. They employ methods to keep the appearance of freshness, even if the nutrition on it is already gone. Take apples for instance. Apples are sprayed with a thin layer of wax to keep it as red as possible - when you take a bite, you see it's brown on the inside from normal decomposition and/or bruising (which accelerates decomposition). It's not true with most apples in most stores, but some stores do buy them like that. I suppose it all depends on who you buy from and where they source their produce. Still, it's best to just not take chances and go frozen, and save money.
looks delicious and cheap. any more fitcipes?
TV dinners is the the jewy cousin of frozen foods. Not only is it almost devoid of good nutrition, it's brimming in additives and preservatives.
Don't buy TV dinners.
>cilantro
Because niggers eat cilantro...
true the best is to just pick it right off the tree but most dont have that option
in order to get frozen vegetables unfrozen you have to apply some sort of heat which is bad which is why i buy fresh
also i feel like it just loses some kind of enzymes or something frozen it doesnt have the same life force or something
frozen spinach is like nasty and fresh spinach is great
you know what i mean... theres something wrong
as far as getting bad apples you just have to be good at selection...... you can get plenty of good apples at the store
if you get a decomposed one , you made a mistake or went to the wrong store
nobody would buy produce if it was always decomposing
How was that? $1000 a month is massive here in the US but what is the cost of living like in Sverige?
Tell me the basics of your financial situation and I can tell you how to get on the road to wealth.
Most poor people can't handle it, though. And it's not their fault, they're bred and raised to be peasants.
The simple answer if you're not an ameriburger is education. Free university is the easiest way to wealth
Reminder that coriander/cilantro is the devils lettuce, and you only like it if you're genetically unpure.

>not maxing out your credit cards on limes
soapy low quality not fresh cilantro
i had a good cilantro the other day and it was night and day with the cheap shit
tasted like butterflys and salsa no soap
cheap walmart cilantro tasted soap definitely
I don't have a ton on my phone unfortunately, but here's this

Damn that meme belongs in a museum
You don't expect me to drink my gin and tonic with proper garnish, do you?
>frozen and get boxed dinners
Do people actually but those things? I tried one couple of years ago and almost puked in my mouth, they are also unhealthy and they don't have any nutrients that you need for your body to function properly. I personally eat a lot of green vegetables and lean meat.
yes goy, eat your soy, its completely healthy and won't raise your estrogen. just look at the chinks!
Put it inside under some LED lights and you have 34,000 calories every 100 days or so.
yes, they worked hard to get where they are, so obviously there experience is valid
you don't deserve "nutrients" until you stop being a lazy fuck
1. That $29 is a supplement, meaning it's supposed to be IN ADDITION to what you make. It's not a substitute for working.
2. If you didn't get the fucking avocado, kale and cilantro you could probably get some chicken or something (each one of those things is like a dollar by itself at Safeway).
3. SEVEN. FUCKING. LIMES. Every time.
>a tbsp of soy sauce
>anywhere close to enough phytoestrogen to fuck with test
You're never gonna make it, brah
>SEVEN. FUCKING. LIMES
1$ at aldis

Tomatoes
Onions
Anaheim peppers
jalapenos
Eggs
bread
sriracha sauce
Cut the onions into slices and the peppers into 1 inch squares, throw them in a pan with oil, cook them until the onions are carmelized and the peppers skin in starting to bubble
Remove them and put them on the side
Cut tomatoes into eighths and season with salt, pepper, and red crushed pepper. Cook them on the pan until they become soft and the skin starts coming off, put them on the side
Cook the eggs sunny side up, lightly salt.
Take the bread, open it up
Put the eggs first, then onions and peppers on top, then the tomatos. Put some hot sauce on it and bam, you have a delicious, healthy, cheap meal.
Who the fuck just eats limes though? They're disgusting
the kale and cilantro is what really bothered me.
>$29 to eat
>literally buys a garnish
he said easy to make
as soon as you get above 3 ingredients your recipe sucks for people like him
limes and lemons have tons of uses you dont eat them you juice them
idiot
you never squeezed a lemon on your food before are you 12
I don't know what the fuck aldis is. The stuff in the pic is from Safeway, where limes are 50 cents each, so that's $3.50 wasted on limes. Avocados are another dollar, cilantro is $0.50-$1 and I don't know how much kale is because I'm not a faggot, but there's at least $5 wasted on garbage. If you're poor you don't need margaritas, you can leave the limes and buy nearly two pounds of boneless chicken, which together with everything else in the pic would feed a family for a week.
Maybe they should learn how to fucking shop properly
>at aldis
Yeah I use limes/lemons for their flavour but that doesn't exactly add nutrients or calories to your food or drinks.
If I had $29 to live off I'm certainly not buying fucking limes
Even if you have zero income (why?) you would still get $44.77 a week (fns.usda.gov
You can easily live off of that
Pic related is what you can get without even shopping around for sales. 18,109 calories, or 2587 calories per person per day. More than enough for anyone.
Chinese quality has dropped so low they don't even spell China properly
none of that stuff is garbage though if youre a healthy person
its actually way more edible than the garbage you guys want people to buy such as RAMEN
hahahahahahahah
maybe she makes lime water to flavor her water
certain things like that are necessary to make ur life comfortable
I'll "make it" by eating something other than gook legume syrup
>flavoring your water
disgusting
Abhorrent, I lived in a small room I hired from a guy for 2 years paying like 200$ a month and I spent the rest of it on my education and food/phone service/bus fare. Not to even talk about tax reductions and all. I spent 2 years getting my shitty wage up to 3k$. Right now I got my own apartment, I got food, , I got a stable job. I got a warm bed and nothing to worry about.
I know something like 30$ a year is like middle class life in america but you need like 60k$ a year to be middle class in sweden or something around there. I'm not very good with conversion but I get like 220k Sek a year before tax reductions and you need like 500 to live a middle class life. here. That should add to around 30k$ and 60k$ I think.
