This is sort of a contradiction in topic, because we feel most of our countries are controlled by a political class that manipulates and has no real ties to the people they supposedly represent. Dying for them would be a silly display of loyalty for something you are not a part of. You can die for mercenary reasons, I.e get paid to fight then accidentally die, and not be in the pure moral wrong with yourself, but dying for oligarchs or the current state of our countries is not a martyrs death.

I think most of us would be proud to defend our homelands in an open invasion scenario, but right now it is literally the oligarchs who control our countries that import an invasion and change of our demographics. And we are not allowed to fight it, and things are not bad enough yet that we can inspire a new state or return to volkstaaten across Europe/North America.
