user this is 2017.
A mediocre film like Dunkirk is still far better than the average of Hollywood's products.
It's like the one eyed that rules among the blind.
>It's g-good if you compare it to all this terrible shit!
nice

...
fucking this, couple really strong moments but otherwise mediocre.
dunkirk had so little dialogue, well shot movie but boring af
Affleck was really good, but Michelle Williams really screamed I'M ACTING. But the whole thing tried to hard to make people feel.
I hate Millennials

Guardians of the Galaxy
Nightcrawler
World's Greatest Dad
I don't listen to Sup Forums any more
how old are you?
Above average does not equal mediocre
Fair call on the other two, but if you thought Sup Forums was recommending Guardians then you're the fool
When the first GotG came out Sup Forums did nothing but sing its praises
>ITT: Tasteless plens
Sure, just like how Sup Forums "loved" Drive when it came out
How are any of those "mediocre"?
Yes they are not absolute masterpieces and you certainly don't have to like them, but mediocre?
Mediocre implies something average, and I'm pretty sure you didn't see a film like Dunkirk or Drive in quite some time.
Even Manchester by the Sea handles it's subject in a quite original way, a "mediocre" film with that subject would be filled with over the top crying, fake empathy, a big positive character arc at the end etc.
They are all atleast above average.
Is the pilot dun gliding already?
>dunkirk had so little dialogue
And that's bad because...?
