Was Twin Peaks worth 18 hours of your life?

Was Twin Peaks worth 18 hours of your life?

shows what you know, I watched it at 1.5x speed!

Yes. But it should/could have only taken half of that. So much damned filler...

David Lynch's combined filmography adds up to around 18 hours. Twin Peaks was far superior to that 18.

They might have very well been the best 18 hours of my life.

No

Wouldn't he just piss himself if he didn't know what a toilet was?

roughly half of it was good, the rest was pointless filler

It was really bad, but the worst thing about it is the mindless fanbase that licks every piece of shit Lynch poops out because they believe it's
i n t e l e c t u a l

I'm talking about you

Oooooooh, catty *mreowr!*

i n t e l c t u a l s

Absolutely.

>Twin Peaks was far superior to that 18.
I liked Twin Peaks too, but let's not over exaggerate here.

I'm now convinced the episdoses 17/18 synchronicity stuff was not intentionally put there by Frost/Lynch. I think it's spirits trying to communicate through the movie subliminally influencing Lynch's editing. If you piece together all the puzzle pieces you will gain access to the spiritual world and gain full understanding of Twin Peaks, at which point your soul will be annihilated and you will go insane.

It got better in the second half though

Who else /TalksAboutJudy/ here?

Nope.
And anybody saying otherwise is lying to themselves.

>i n t e l e c t u a l
ouch

>bashing a foreigner for misspelling words
Do you speak anything apart from English

Whole thing was worth it just for Part 8 to exist imo.

je suis francais petite salope

Nah I'm /HellGodBabyDamnNo/.

It's 18 hours not spent on Sup Forums so it's okay and I skipped Dougie and other parts when I realized it was just filling the blanks.

Et parlez vous quelque chose hors de la Francois?

Try speaking three and not getting anything wrong, downright impossible

It was definitely worth 36 hours. I'll probably watch it again soon.

>trying to talk shit about people in English on an English speaking board
>pls no bully
Fuck off back to Afghanistan, goatfucker.

Is it really the end. I just hate to think that we've seen the last of Twin Peaks. Was Showtime happy with the ratings I mean they don't have anything else notable besides Ray Donovan and that Masters of Sex show.

Yes. It was much more enjoyable to watch than...gee i don't know, most shows nowadays?

I thought season 2 was the end before. Now i would be happy thinking season 3 is the end. Hell, i'm happy i got to experience Twin Peaks at all.
There are lots of other good shows, but TP is unique in that comfyness it brings.

Its pace was achingly slow, but it makes a lot more sense if you treat it like an 18-hour movie. It was also very refreshing to see a show which doesn't feel like its been circulated amongst test groups for months on end before a final version is published. On top of that, it looked gorgeous.

Dougie arc was pure kino, and I thought that the scenes set in twin peaks were handled brilliantly for the most part, even if so many plotlines weren't resolved (my hope is that they're providing the set up for a new season). My main gripe was the FBI lore dumps. Despite the fact that many of their scenes were very funny it felt like Lynch left so much up to interpretation that Frost felt the need to fill in the blanks so the final dossier would make more sense. There was nothing visually impressive about Tammy, Gordon and Albert sitting in a room with a bunch of computer machinery, my guess is Lynch just didn't give a shit.

People complain about The Roadhouse performances but it was good of lynch to give underrated/less recognised artists so much airtime and promotion. Also if it was filmed as a movie they make more sense as musical interludes where you can process what just happened.

My life ain't worth 18 hours of Twin Peaks

Yeah, FBI plot started out pretty good, but then it came to a screeching halt rather quickly.

Yes. All of it was Kino.

the return is literally the most I have ever enjoyed a TV show

Pacing. The plebian's critique.

Agreed.

No. I don't feel anyone but a die hard Lynch fan could defend the decisions made in S3, and even if you wanted to genuinely discuss some facet you weren't clear on or question a particular moment, you've been "Lynched".
S3 was pretty bad overall, but Lynch fans are the fucking worst.

Why did you watch S3 at all?

Because I liked S1 and S2.

Pourquoi faut-il que le français se comporte comme un bougnoule mental partout où il est ?

(why does the French have to behave like a sandnigger wherever he is)

Source?

Haha, the essential LYNCHED coffee and pie fag

>pointless filler
we are talking about twin peaks here not michael bay flicks

Parce que s'en est un la plupart du temps.

Original Twin Peaks had boring subplots like the mill and Donna being stalked by an ominous soft piano constantly playing in the distance.
S3 has two and a half minutes of a dude sweeping a floor and a British kid with a magic gardening glove.

I enjoyed every episode.

this and that imo

and the guy wipping the floor for 5 minutes

I've already watched it four times so, yes.

and btw. it's by far the best Lynch product, only FWWM compares (and pilot of Twin Peaks E1).

less than a day?
wew lad

>Not watching all 18 episodes at once

Most of the characters and plot lines were entertaining at the time but many of them feel isolated and pointless in retrospect.

The other entries of the series were a whole with all the little parts interacting but Return was more like several different pockets of characters being led to a central collision. But when it actually happens most of the characters at the collision are just there to spectate, and about 95% of the others have been forgotten and left behind in their original pockets, unaffected by the climax.

>un bougnoule mental
kek learn to speak french, faggot

This.

Heu "bougnoule mental" est parfaitement français, en américain on dirait un WIGGER, comme toi donc.

can someone pls give a summary i stopped watching when some kid got run over

kek on est pas au quebec

Ça tombe bien je suis français, pédé.

No. Just continue to watch it.

Je ne te crois pas.

I bet they bring it back again because normies want answers then they'll get lynched even harder as fuck you.

this is the only significant artpiece on tv in at least the last 10 years if not more. people can hate it all they want, it doesn't make it not good just cause you dont like it.

yes but be ready to give up on the medium of television until Lynch's masterpiece is rivaled.

This. It's like my eyes got upgraded.

Twin Peaks already got ruined since Season 2 because of exec meddling anyway.
Cooper never awoke after getting shot.

>BOB gets defeated by an English kid with a magic rubber glove
if someone had told me this back in 1991...

Bob should have been defeated by Bobby.

Acting certainly was. I just finished watching episode 18 and I'm not sure what to think yet. Kyle Maclachlan deserves an Emmy for this show.

...

>It was really bad, but the worst thing about it is the mindless fanbase that licks every piece of shit Lynch poops out because they believe it's
i n t e l e c t u a l
Alright, so why don't you enlighten us all? Eraserhead of all movies got a screening because of Stanley Kubrick. I don't think that happens to every "i n t e l e c t u a l".

>he didn't even read my post beyond the first 5 words
You sure you're not the plebian, friend?

Yes

...

that's the same length as season one of x-files and I watched that in one sitting so

See:

>people actually call it and treat it like an 18 hour movie just because the director said so
>it is quite clearly episodic in nature
>it's not even 18 hours long

T H I S

H

S

yeah the hot broad should have gone in and pulled it out for him

AAAAA AAAAA AAAAAA AAAAAAAAAA

I haven't watched any of it yet and I'm struggling to find the motivation to do so

Have you watched Lynch's movies? If you haven't, start with those.
