I was born to protect that smile.

did you cry?
I cried.

What's your single favourite scene from The Return. I liked Mr. Jackpots in the casino

Those photos of Laura and Audrey existed in-universe, right? Why did Audrey claim to not be friends with her?

She looks really good with short hair. I think it even suits her better than long hair.

first for lewd kyle

You should dedicate all of your mental capacity to thinking about Sheryl Lee. Not only does she deserve it, it is also very healthy and good for you

>tfw /tpg/ is running out of sand and so am I

How many more hours of Dark Space Low can I listen to before I kill myself?

Was this the final boss you wanted?

I figure they weren't close friends like Laura and Donna. Plus there was this history between Laura and Ben that wasn't fully known by Audrey, but probably suspected.
too many to choose from really. I liked Audrey's Dance and her waking up and I also loved from the same episode the visuals when Richard was killed.

doogie meeting mitchums in the desert and them eating pie afterwards.

So if Audrey's trapped in some alternate dimension, how come she is ageing & miserable?
Rather be a Josie knob tbqh.

>tfw audreys smile was very much unprotected

Try listening to nothing but Out of Sand
A week is enough to get disoriented at random and also lose the ability to feel joy so I'm guessing that a week and a half is all you'll need to get suicidal impulses

What episodes should I watch simultaneously

every episode

I've been out these threads a couple days, dunno if this has been gone through. Has episode 10 and Coles vision of Laura and hearing Sarah Palmers voice been discussed in connection with episode 18. Sarahs voice is identical. Also the bit where just before he sees her he draws a stagg or something with a hand about to grab it. Is Cole having a vision of what happens in the finale, or is something travelling back through time from the finale and Cole tuned into it. He was always tuning his hearing aid, which feels symbolic.

>that wasn't fully known by Audrey, but probably suspected.
Ben confesses to Audrey that he had a relationship with Laura

>it was Carrie all along

well, everybody aged even in the lodge (bc actors), so it's nothing unusual.
: - (

definitely

oh yeah, but I meant before she died why they might've not been very close friends.

laura is not that cute tbdesu but i would protect audrey's smile

I'm so confused by her short hair in this movie, its so puffy it looks like a wig like in FWWM

post TP screenshots u use as reactions.

I'm mystified, she's literally the only woman I think looks good with short hair. I don't understand.

wanted to make this an OP image for a /gtag/ thread on /vg/ but no one else was jiving with it

>general for a dead show
Saged and reported.

Do you need to understand?

>tfw fwwm ending is now erased

will it have the same impact when i re-watch it?

it killed me the first time

>implying time exists in the waiting room

In Secret Diary Laura talks about her a few times, I think they were acquaintances but Ben Horne's affections for Laura made Audrey jealous, and Laura talks about staying away from Audrey out of guilt

We see Audrey crying looking at this photo in one scene

*honks horn* AH AAH OH GOD AAAH AAAAAH AAAAH AAAAAH AAAAH AAH AAAAAAAH

...

FWWM ending takes place at some undefined point after s3 finale, thats how I interpret it at least.

PICK YOUR 5 FAVORITE TWIN PEAKS EPISODES

I tried to include all the fan favorites.

>I'M KETTLE JEFFRIES COOPAH!
>I TURNED MY SELF INTO A KETTLE COOPAH! BOOM BIG REVEAL

>T-There is no -(clanging sounds) Judy Coopah- It's all a lie (Clanging sounds)- rise above, focus on becoming a teapot

> I had - I had - I had to create a time loop Coppah (clanging sound) It's going to erase existance Coopah - (clanigng sound) - now we are going to pick up your friend Laura Coopah- You will be Adam Coopah

hasn't Lynch gone overboard with this?

HA HA HA

...

"No."

To me this is still the ending.

The Return is the reminder to the audience and to Cooper that Laura can't be saved from her trauma or her death. While the ending goes back to that core of the show, Laura and Cooper, this story felt much more rooted in Coopers downfall.

FWWM is where the story actually ends, to me that ending has actually been made more powerful because it is no longer just Laura's salvation, we also see Dale finally at peace with letting her go.

I held out til the very end to see if Lynch actually filmed Bowie before he died.

.

me too actually

Imagine if he actually appeared. This series would have been from the Gods themelves

>tfw new Twin Peaks in 6 hours

T-Teresa Banks?

user...

Does anyone have any good pictures of Theresa Banks? Tbqh she was really hot with her big tits and slutty face. Perhaps the most underrated woman in TP.

Reminder that sync-fags will NEVER give up because IT JUST WORKS.
youtube.com/watch?v=dk5aBRrHZFY

damn she was great :) :(

I don't get it. Why do people say this?

My interpretation:
Coop went back to the past to try and save Laura, and but failed. The visions of the future with Laura's corpse disappearing from the beach and Pete fishing are what would have happened if Cooper had succeeded. But as soon as he lets go of Laura's hand, she lets out a scream that implies that she's gonna get murdered and things will proceed as usual.
It works as dream logic, too. If you're like me, you definitely had dreams where you're suddenly in a position to read a book by your favorite author that you never knew existed, or you suddenly jump into the future and can play Metal Gear Solid 7 or something. As soon as you try to grab that thing, it's gone and you wake up. That's the feeling that is evoked when Cooper lets go of Laura's hand- there was no way it could really work out.
The finale and Carrie Page in my eyes take place in a parallel hellworld. Any optimistic interpretation of the finale should be ignored: it was obviously meant to be bleak as fuck.
I personally would also ignore any coherent interpretation, and pretty much any fan theory: what I get out of the finale is that things just don't make work out, and you shouldn't expect any form of closure. You can't force the universe to make sense: Cooper tries with his desperate questioning in the end, and he ends up just digging himself deeper.

Does anyone else think the new Jeffries sounds an awful lot like this guy? Especially when he said "I'll look it up for yah"

It works because short hair is a more cutesy thing than a hot one, and Sheryl's cuter than she is hote (that's not an insult)

t. Expert

There is something special about Gordon Cole. In the Sheriff's office in e18, just as Cooper is about to rewind time and change the past, he shouts out "Gordon!" and takes him with him into the darkness along with Diane. Jeffries later says of Gordon "he'll remember the unofficial version". I take this to mean that Gordon is one of a very few people with memories of the timeline that Cooper erases when he saves Laura. Possibly he also sense the 2nd timeline while he was still in the first one.

>syncfags completely unaware of the REAL hidden ending

Does anybody think that Dougie is Lynch's best execution of the "slow / placid old man" scene?

He's always had a fascination for this, placid scenes that move very slowly because the character is in their own world and unconcerned with the surroundings. To me the Dougie scenes feels like the perfect execution and realization of this concept. The scenes are really slow, but also really beautiful, there's plenty of scenes that has no inherent deeper meaning or purpose but in the end manage to be really memorable and uplifting.

I was expecting something absolutely crazy too, like Bowie delivering a monologue from his deathbed.

easy there, you fuzzy little man-peach.

she truly was I still think she looks good, but I'm partial to older women so a few wears and tears doesn't bother me

I can't wait!

Laura gets teleported to another dimension to resolve the time paradox. Cooper goes, find her, awakes her and she destroys Judy with that scream. They won but Laura still remembers all the pain and Cooper is stranded with her in non existance.

Now letìs go back to episode 17

Judy is destroyed. She never spawns bob in the first place. Bob never possess Leland. All the events that lead to Laura being in the forest are erased. She probably is never even born in that time line. She disappears from that time line, her soul still living in odess.a

I can really appreciate this meming, sincerely, thank you.

explain this scene

SHE'S MY MOTHER'S SISTER'S GIRL

She's Gordon's mother's sister's girl.

original blue rose case

After eons, he manges to travel back to the moment where Dougie shocks himself.

after countless eons and adventures, he manages to return to to the socket when Dougie shocks himself.

at this point the loop repeats.

I can't wait to see what happens at the Palmer house. That cliffhanger was epic.

Why does he do this with his hand?

Chet literally explains it the next scene.

because he clearly has meme clairvoyance

>the character is in their own world and unconcerned with the surroundings
Thing is, Dougie goes further than being totally unconnected to the world he inhabits– not only does he have zero agency (repeating what everyone says back to him, behaving or performing an action simply because people tell him to, etc.), but his life just seems to fall into place at his feet without even trying. He's totally given up to the winds of fate and chance, and yet he always succeeds. If there was ever a film/show where lynch brought over ideas from transcendental medition, it would be the dougie arc, dude is literally the embodiment of mindfulness

Notice the hand: She's making gestures of holding something, that means there'll be lots of grape holding involved. Now imagine if they were your balls.

So that a bunch of autists on a nambian spear sharpening forum could turn it into a reaction image

Laura was only 17 when she died. How long did this "history" with Ben go on for?

>root of all evil is "JUDE"

What did Lynch mean by this?

Forget the characters user

I want to protect both of their smiles IRL

And what about carrot fondling? Imagine that

I'm convinced. IT JUST WORKS

Bushnell does exactly the same gesture when talking with the Fuscoe detectives. it's no coincidence, I think everyone in the show just wants to cop a feel of Cooper

why do people think it was a sad ending exactly? Just the dark music? Look at the last scene. Laura is focusing all her rage and then the scream makes the evil house disappear.

Do you think this is not good? Why? and what do you make of the scene where possessed sarah fails to damage Laura's picture?

now I DO think Cooper and Laura are stranded and in a shitty situation. but I think they won. What is your reasoning that makes you believe this isn't the case?

He doesn't like Paul McCartney

Something about the ring probably

AHAHAHAHAHHA I didn't fucking notice. Lynch did it again. Does it mean Anderson will be on board for season 4?

>Is it the story of the girl down the lane? (Carrie Page in Odessa)
>A Blue Rose case, most definitely! (Blue Rose = tulpas/dopplegangers)

wtf

>season 3 will never be made
>Cooper will never get his mind back

We are here
>season 4 will never be made
>we will never know how annie is and what year is this

That's the thing, I think most people see the actions but the not expressions in that last scene. I swear there's just a hint of a smirk in Cooper's face when the Chalfont/Tremond thing Judy put there is trying that last-ditch lying at the door. Sarah already realized the truth when they start walking towards the house and she is PISSED. That scream is meant to rip them out of that cosmic prison.

Would it be a dumb idea to dress up as Dougie Jones for a halloween party? I'm afraid that none of the normies will have watched the show.

Dougie is not spooky but it's a good costume otherwise

...

>dressing up for a Halloween party

>happens right when the pissed off Sarah/Judy walks into the living room to try (and fail) to damage Laura's picture and gets trapped in her own damn loop.

Dress up as a woodsman instead, those are actually spooky.
Don't forget the blackface part, which is essential if you want to actually scare people.

won't that be considered racist? isn't bob a safer bet? jeans jacket and a long haired grey colored wig?

>now I DO think Cooper and Laura are stranded and in a shitty situation.

what shitty situation though? are they still standing in the street after she screams, thus trapped in the alt world? are they transported back to the red room? are they completely wiped from existence?

i just don't know.

Bob is outdaded, what is this, the 90's?
Get with the times, grandpa. Your safest bet is an accurate woodsman costume, you'll be fine.

I'd happily be Josie's knob.
