It's not an organization, and most """alt-right""" in the US are really just kosher conservative detrius that adopted the name, without realizing the irony that people had to turn to an alternative right to get away from, and be fully isolated from, the Republicans and kosher conservatives to begin with. There also aren't terror attacks related, which you kind of need to be considered a terror group.

For what it's worth, most politicians, journalists and ordinary people associate the "''right""" in the USA with garbage like the Tea Party, tacticool militia groups, mormons, christian fundies, Republicans, neoconservatives anyways. Those will always be a nice scapegoat for the mainstream media to beat up and humiliate.
