Holy shit, this is actually pretty good

Ignore the SJW critics, my sides are literally in fucking orbit right now. I had my doubts at first but Seth knocks it out of the park and into the stratosphere.

Looks like Trek kino is back on the menu, boys. This is already blowing STD out of the water by like a mile.

It was fucking horrible

It couldn't take itself serious, and kept throwing in jokes that make fun of us trekkies, beyond that, it was cheap looking and had no redeeming qualities

>Sound design sucked
>Constantly made fun of Star trek
>Make by (((Seth)))
>Ugly ship
>Bad acting
>Mean to the trekkies fanbase

It was fucking horrible

>It's a "Sup Forums has to defend a crappy show to spite their perceived enemies" episode

Yeah, Iron Fist was awesome!

weakest shill thread so far

All of the fight scenes in Iron Fist were awful

Are IT shills working overtime now? It was shit.

One of the worst things I've seen in years. As expected Seth

>This is already blowing STD out of the water by like a mile.
Really? What were the ratings like for the first episode of STD compared to Orville? I'm curious.

>MacFarlane
>echoes
You're new to jewdar, I take it

Just the worst man, not even close.

Can you link to the ratings for the premiere episode of both shows?

>good
>acting was very stiff as fuck
>all the jokes were cheesy one liners about marriage problems or seth mcfarlene usual tier humor

no it was bad

It was ok.

Not really funny but watchable.

It won't last more than a season.

I actually really like the tone so far. none of the dialogue feels to forced, maybe a little insipid, but overall a pretty comfy watching experience on a Sunday night. Definitely has potential. Will watch again.

Don't forget about Batman v. Superman. That was straight kino

It'll be cancelled by Ep4

Too early for me to tell; it has potential. I'll keep watching.

>We need no longer fear the banana.

>Ignore the SJW critics

Agreed

Seth, dude, you don't have to post this every 15 minutes

manspreader

Voted #1 New Comedy of 2017

>us trekkies
opinion dumpstered

Those captain chairs do not look comfortable at all.

this tbqh, OP is clearly an inbred shill

Is Palicki still hot in it?

yeah but she wears trousers

>Is Palicki still hot in it?
Was Palicki ever hot?

The security chief can take my dick though. In or out of makeup.

What would they even be on him about? Seth's as leftist as they come.

is this bait?

Shhh. You'll get the DCPajeet mad.

It's Fox

We all knew this when we heard the first mention of the title six months ago

Just got done watching. Impressed as fuck

Now I'm just upset that I found another show I really like, so like anything good that ever happens in my life it probably won't last and will get cancelled

Fuck this gay earth

I agree. I thought this was pretty good. This will be a great replacement for that STD being called (((Star Trek))).

When did it make fun of trekkies?

>admitting to watching something by Seth
Do you also eat at Mcdonalds and listen to kid rock?

1 of those...

I enjoyed it.

>It's a Sup Forums shills a trainwreck because its 'rival' triggered them episode

...

I smell fresh pasta.

It was better than I expected, but that doesn't really say much. There was humor, but it didn't go full dick and balls Family Guy. For a network sci fi show, good luck doing much better.

is there anywhere to stream it online?

The comedy was exactly the same family guy shit only worse. There was thankfully very little of it though, like 4 jokes through the whole thing. The rest wasn't bad.

I went in fully expecting that dick and balls humor, but it was a pleasant surprise.

The scene where the security chick knocked down the door and wall and Seth was like "I loosened it for you" was great. Nice, clean fun jokes are the best.

It literally looks better than JJ Trek. Boring shit writing and direction, but that's to be expected.

MUSICAL EPISODE AND ALIEN CHICKEN FIGHT SCENES WHEN

Needs more ass in tight galactic outfits.

I thought it was decent but it has a very predictable climax. I'm going to give it a chance. Im more intrested in this than STD based on previews alone

Literally indeed, my fellow Trekkie. Literally indeed.

Can we all agree that this was pretty damn good for a first episode? It usually takes trek at least 3 season to get good with the first being unwatchable. This was better then every star trek ever seasons 1-3.

This. STD is boo, while this is yay. Don't listen to the SJW critics trying to push YAAAS QUEEN (((Trek))) over this masterpiece.

STD hasn't aired yey

IGNORE THE MACFARLANE SHILL THREADS

It was alright but the entire time I was watching it I kept thinking, "where is the Muslim representation"?

If they could just keep seth from writing any more "jokes" it would be great.

That's what Star Trek's for.

Do I have to explain? I haven't been on Sup Forums in a VERY long time, and yet I understand the SJW references and relates.

I'll explain, briefly. CBS Corp has a new Star Trek show coming out Star Trek Discovery which pretty much abandoned most original Star Trek fans, while that STD is a huge SJW ass kissing show.
That's all. Connect the rest. It's not hard.

>STD is a huge SJW ass kissing show
This. Original Trek was pure white nationalism and now we can't even have that.

Have they got the special effects budget for explosions?

t. Seth

Really liked the banana joke.

butthurt "trekkie" detected, opinion discarded

I like it. you can tell seth is a huge TNG fan. so its pretty good for me. if all you did was fan service for trekkies even though its a comedy, it could be successful.

>Original Trek was pure white nationalism

I wouldn't go so far on that. Star Trek was designed for that core audience of the time - the mid 60's.
I just want a good show that is about being a good show, not so obvious at ignoring the original, and pushing generalized SJW design.

He's baiting you, dumbass. Star Trek was created by an open communist. Discovery is 100% what Roddenberry would do if he were around for today.

You're a fucking liar they said balls 3 times in the first half hour. It's a hysterical train wreck.

>balls
Does masculinity trigger you, buttercup?

I've always said it, and I stand by this: the balls are definitely the manliest of the sex organs.

>Discovery is 100% what Roddenberry would do if he were around for today.

>a prequel starting before TOS
>re-designed Klingons
>a series based on the troubles of one black woman

I seriously doubt that he would.

The revolution takes priority over minor costume changes, comrade.

Ignoring all the autistic screeching in this thread, just watched episode #1, and I thought it was pretty good. It seemed like a much more comedic version of Star Trek. It inspired the same sense of wonder at space exploration with intermittent added jokes. Some were better than others, but overall it was funnier than most things on network TV these days and the plot was pleasant if not spectacular.

I'll keep watching as it comes out but I doubt it gets renewed. I think it's not serious enough for the autismo trekkies (as shown by this thread) and it isn't gag-a-minute to grab the Family Guy audience.. I hope I'm wrong though.

No but apparently reading comprehension triggers you friendo. The poster I was responding to was praising the clean humor and I called it out.

All TV shows take time to grow. You do realise you're referring to Fox, right?
How long has The Simpsons been on?

> You do realise you're referring to Fox, right?
You mean the network that has a history of cancelling shows that later became extremely popular? Shows like Firefly and Terra Nova? Even Sliders to some extent?

He was anti-gay, and expected all people to behave like good European men and women, in a socialist utopia based on merit.

Very problematic for "those" people today.

>he doesn't believe in the Grand Gaelic conspiracy

Then how come Rottenberry wanted an openly gay crewmen, you retard?

It was basically Nazism in space. SJWs can't handle the proud white nationalism and militant colonialism of the original Trek.

>I wouldn't go so far on that.
I would. Gene Roddenberry didn't even want shitskins on it, he was forced to include them by the network. If only we can watch Trek in its purest white supremacist form.

Also, honorable mention that no one ever fucking talks about, and I'm one of maybe a dozen who loved it, Andy Richter Controls the (MOTHERFUCKIN) Universe.

That was *the shit*, I've had a bad taste in my mouth for Fox ever since that was cancelled.

Fox fucked me over literally last season by cancelling Son of Zorn which I thought was great. I don't have much hope.

TNG

He was a different person during TOS, which was a traditional socialist utopia.

Which shows how the slippery slope works, really.

>ex wife shows up
>apologizes and isn't a total cunt about it
Sorry this show is not realistic

>Posting a nazi meme
Get out of here.

I agree it wasn't complete shit, and somewhat comfy. Kind of like Overwatch if it was Guardians of the Galaxy. Diverse but nobody cares because I'm the only one trying to do the objective but I suck at this game so I don't care if we lose but I'll be sure to focus 100% on taking out this fucker because they just annoy me so kind of good time and then you get that POTG ending sequence with the tree.

>he was forced to include them by the network.
>1960s
>forcing black people on TV
Sup Forums, why do you lie so blatantly?

They don't know enough actual things to lie

>having an ex wife
>having a girl who will talk to you without being forced to
I was more interested in the symbolism in the ex-wife's "3rd eye". Did any of you notice that bump in between her eyes that she tried to cover with make up? It wasn't addressed and I feel like it'll be a major plot point (maybe regarding consciousness???) Thoughts?

>Was Palicki ever hot?

Absolutely, but it was basically for just one short period of time when she played Kara for one episode on Smallville, pic very much related. I can't speak for anyone else but if she came knocking on my door totally naked, cousin or not, something's gonna happen dammit.

This should have been an actual Star Trek spinoff featuring the worst crew in Starfleet, that could have been fun.

just pretend it is, problem solved.

That really wouldn't make any sense. Starfleet is hard as fuck to pass. The worst would still be super educated, capable and well-adjusted, especially if you get positioned on a star ship.

This feels a little bit like Firefly. It will never find a big enough audience to be renewed but there will be a hardcore group of people who love it.

Just finished the it
Liked it a lot
Didn't like:
The humour is a bit cringey
Music is off
Overall I'll keep watching and see

This is my biggest qualm..... Did I just fall in love with a show that will get only one season? Will I have to cosplay this shit at comic con 2035 with a bunch of other losers that don't use deodorant either? God help me

MEGA WHEN!?

...

I prefer to remember Sup Forums as it used to be; not the abomination it has become with all the Sup Forums related shit.

>Voyager Fan Art
>DS9 Uniform
This bothers me more than it should.
