Decide to finally watch Archer on Netflix

>Decide to finally watch Archer on Netflix
>ISIS
>ISIS
>ISIS
>ISIS
>These people are the unsung heroes of ISIS
I don't know if I should be laughing but I feel really fucking uncomfortable every time they say it

They change the name of the agency in season 4 because that's when the terror group became internationally known

That's because ISIS the terrorist group wasn't a thing when Archer started.
And ISIS is a legit acronym in the show.

Surprisingly, they've been going downhill since season 4

I'm aware of it changing and them ISIS not being a thing when the show started
My issue still remains

>My autism still remains
We know honey.

>feels uncomfortable due to a generic acronym
>people are this autistic

Then you're just an autist. I kind of chuckled when I first thought of the connection the first time they said it, but after that I got over it and the show is in no way harmed by it.

Just watched Dreamland.
Really boring. What a sham.

Yes it was. And I think next season will be more dreamland

Americans really are dumb. No one outisde the US cares about ISIS or sees the name in a bad light.

I'm pretty sure America is one of the western countries who have the least problems with ISIS. Compare that to France who actually suffer regular attacks from them.

There's a line where Mallory says that the mayor of Paris wants to know why ISIS agents were terrorizing his city. I leled

This. Here in Sweden we like to welcome them with open arms
#lovetrumpshate

>Perfect set up for a joke
>literally just wheel it out without saying anything

Archer's writers have no balls

Yeah, I was hoping for some scene where Mallory makes a vague complaint about being forced to change their name, in a way that it could be interpreted as her talking about the CIA or talking about the terrorist group.

>Watch BTAS
>Catwoman's cat gets stolen or something
>"We need to save Isis!"

ISIS was also an ancient Egyptian Goddess most famous for being the mother of the god Horus

>they stop being called ISIS
>start working for the CIA
>irl ISIS was funded & armed by the CIA

Two more seasons left

Didn't he die?

makes a lot of sense considering the current state of europe

They changed it to ISIL.

terrible show

Then better call the UN or the President and DEMAND that your very important issue be resolved or you will become very upset.

>MFW The terror group isn't called "ISIS" in Arabic it's called Daesh
>MFW The terror group isn't called "ISIS" in English it's called ISIL: Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant
>MFW people are too stupid to know Isis was an egyptian deity
>MFW I have no face

Wait until you find out that the invasion of iraq caused isis, and al-baghdadi was a pacifist preacher before his homeland was invaded.

She was also the biggest god or goddess when it came to magic in Ancient Egypt.

no he's just in a coma m8. Have you not seen the last season?

I just interpret it as Me Fucking When

Daesh is not their "real" arabic name. It's sort of an acronym, and they don't call themselves that.

>mfw ISIS is just some shitty acronym American mainstream media gave to the Islamic extremists who formed across Iraq and the Levant based on a shitty translation

For you.

>le condescending homosexual meme
fuck off with that shit

What a faggoty retort.

>n-no u!
kill yourself

>implying americans can even point where Iraq is in the world map

All the stories about Baghdadi paint him as a real beta, everyone who knew him said that he was shy, anti social and without friends, spending time alone during his studies. After finishing his education, PhD in Islamic studies, he became an imam in a small mosque in one of poorer parts of Baghdad, living in a small room next to the mosque. After US invasion he joined one of the resistance groups, serving on Sharia council, a position reserved for scholars without any direct power. And than he got sent to Abu Ghraib and when he got out he became far more involved with AQ in Iraq.
