Decided with Batman Returns. This thing is a straight up work of art. Burton really got to make this thing his own.

I really like the first opening issue. I feel it sets a tone for the rest of what's coming.

Anyone here? Need to make sure peeps are reading before I continue.

Yeah i'm here

Cool beans

Now that we know more/less what each volume contains, which one was your favorite?

1st
>Batman and Son, Batman R.I.P., Final Crisis

2nd
>Batman and Robin, Time and the Batman, Return of Bruce Wayne

3rd
>Batman Incorporated Deluxe Edition; Volumes 1, 2

...

...

Also is it weird that I'm finding All-Star Batman to be one the best current Batman ongoing?

...

>DickBats
>BatSteph
>old Red Robin

:(

...

...

Well these storytimes have been my first time reading them but so far I enjoyed the final crisis stuff more than I thought I would considering I usually hate big events and while I enjoyed the adventures of Dick and Damien I really liked the whole Return of Bruce Wayne story arcthe most.

So I guess volume 2 was by far the best unless this one ends up being really good

Don't fucking remind me. New52 Batman is a step into a completely different direction that Morrison was going. I'm actually going to do Snyder's Batman run after I finish this to see how they compliment each other.

...

...

...

...

...

...

Volume 2 for sure, B&R was da best

...

>I want you both to stay together as Batman and Robin

Fuck you, DC.

...

...

...

...

LORD DEATH MAN WOO

>lord death man
the man part seems unnecessary

...

...

...

...

...

...

Lord Death is generic

Lord Death MAN is a BRAND

...

...

good ol' Paquette

...

...

...

This one may end up being really good. All of the volumes have their own distinct tone/theme that makes them entirely their own.

Lord Death Man had panache, I'll give him that. gone too soon.

Man, you gotta love a guy trying to set a brand up.

...

...

>trying to set a brand up.
>Implying he's not already killing it

...

...

...

He's doing a great job. The trick now will be consistency within the theme and brand. I like the idea of the chain of killings linking to your next victim, but you're going to need to find some way to be subtle about the themes while still having variety with it, which has me nervous about this up and coming super villain and whether he's going to be an also-ran.

Gotta give him props for the bomb on the disabled kids bus though, you do that properly and you score some major cred.

>Those trips
Also, why do I feel like Selina did that intentionally? Because there's no way she didn't do any research on her target jewels like that.

I feel like primary sources about Atlantean jewelry would be scarce

Honest Question, how do ALL the Batman movies rank in your eyes?

>Batgod Tier
Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders
The Dark Knight Returns
The Dark Knight
Batman v. Superman ULtimate Edition (I think this movie fixed all my major complaints with the theatrical version).

>High Tier
Under the Red Hood
Batman 1989
Batman Forever (rewatched and I loved it).
Batman Begins (absoutely stellar origin tale for Batman).

>Mid Tier
Batman: Assualt on Arkham (great movie, Good Batman movie).
Batman Returns (could be higher but it depends on my mood. Surprisingly this is my sisters favorite movie.)
Batman v. Robin/Batman Bad Blood (these are enjoyable for what they are).

>Low Tier
The Killing Joke
Batman & Son
The Dark Knight Rises (poor pacing and cliched writing hurts this movie).

>Hard to Place Tier
Gotham Knight (some parts were great, others were meh).
Batman and Robin (it's a poor movie, but a great modern take of the 1966 Batman TV show).
Batman Year One (varies based on whether it's judged as a Batman story, Jim Gordon story, or as an adaption of the comic. All that said I really enjoy Year One).
Batman: The Movie (Adam West)

If I left one out let me know.

best foreign Bat incoming

You forgot the best one! Mask Of The Phantasm!

The Dark Knight Returns adaptation loses points from me because they cut out Bruce's internal monologue.

Was there a link to all this posted somewhere yet?

SHIT I knew I forgot one. New List.
